“万丈高楼平地起”,是说地基对于建筑物的重要性,而构筑英语殿堂的基石则是英语音标,学英语的目的就是为了说英语,用英语。一方面,有些人尽管笔试成绩 不错,但却羞于启齿说英语,或者说出的英语令人难以听懂。究其原因,是英语音标没掌握。另一方面,大多数英语单词的拼写和单词的音标都遵循读音规则,因 此,只要掌握了读音规则,并不断总结单词拼写与其音标之间的联系,就能做到看见单词就能读出来,能说出来的单词就会写。总之,掌握好语音,不仅对于练就一 口标准的英语口语很关键,而且对于记忆英语单词也有很大帮助。

那么,如何读准音标呢?

传统的方法是依照教材练口形,根据录音模仿发音。单纯这样的练习,一则单调乏味,二则缺乏对比,学习效果较差,很多人往往半途而废。传统教学中把容易混淆 的音标分组,进行对比练习,虽有效果,但因无相应的语言环境,也显得枯燥,难以把握。笔者在多年的英语教学工作中,把含有某个音标或某几个音标的多个单词 编成绕口令,教给学生。教学实践中,学生们觉得既生动有趣,又新颖独特,记忆深刻。枯燥的发音练习顿时生动活泼,音标的读音在不知不觉中得到强化,教学效 果明显提高。现将绕口令教学法的要点介绍如下:

一、发挥绕口令的强化练习作用

编一个绕口令,让个别难以发准的音标多次出习在一个或几个句子中,朗读时反复检查自己的口型使口腔习惯于该音的准确位置。若再次碰到此音,口腔便很快滑到 该音的准确位置。此谓单音强化练习如有人常把He smiles读成He smells,就是没有掌握[ai]的正确读音。不妨采用如下绕口令对[ai]的音进行强化训练:

I like to ride my light white bike,and fly a white light kite with my wife.(我喜欢在晚上月光下沿河边和我量子边骑着那白色的轻型车边放白色的轻风筝。)

二、发挥绕口令的对比作用

绕口令的突出优点是进行对比练习。把两个豉多个相近的音素放在一起,让学生在朗读时进行比较,提高发音器官的适应性。特别是在长元音和短元音的训练中能使 学生有效的区分长音和短音,效果突出。例如,很多人认为[i]是长元音[i:]的短读。实际上,虽然[i]和[i:]都是舌前部抬高,但[i]的发声通道 要比[i:]大得多。用下面的绕口令进行对比训练。

中国古代的第五大发明

1982 年 5 月、心理学家查德·林博士在英国著名的科学杂志《自然》上发表文章,在世界上引起强烈轰动,他对英、美、法、西德、日本五国儿童智商进行了测查发现,欧美四国的儿童智商平均为 100,而日本儿童平均智商为 111,原因是日本儿童学习了汉字。日本的石井勋教授在其《幼儿智力开发法》一书中告诉我们:他多次反复测试的结果是,日本的孩子小时候如果不学汉字,他的智商也和欧美儿童一样是 100。但是学习了汉字,情况就不同了:如果从 5 岁开始学起,到入学前一年,智商能达到 110 ;要是从 4 岁开始学起,学两年,智商能达 120 ;若从 3 岁开始学习三年,智商能达到 125 一 130。为什么识字能促进智力发展?因为每个汉字都是音、形、义有机联系的符号刺激物,婴幼儿学习汉字有利于右脑开发,而右脑的开发对儿童智力的发展具有决定性意义。在幼儿时期进行学习会促进大脑皮层的发育,培养出脑细胞质量高、头脑聪明的人来。

汉字是最古老而最具有生命力的文字,中国仰韶文化时期就有了图形文字,到殷商时代转化成甲骨文,以后一直伴随着中华文化的发展,强有力地推动着文明的进程。汉字对于继承中华文化,维护国家统一以及引进外来文明,促进国际交流都作出了不朽的历史贡献。

汉字在世界文字丛林中独树一帜,具有特殊的地位和优越性:

(一)它是最节省的词构文字。汉字像魔块,有神奇般的组词能力,往往一个字能构建出许多个意义单位(词)。如一个“白”字就组成了“白天”、“白痴”、“白兰地”、“白木耳”、“白马过隙”、“白璧无瑕”共100多个词条。这样,汉语常用的四万个词汇只需要三千个汉字构建即可,就能拼写出绚丽多姿,气象万千,海洋般深邃,天宇般广阔的文章来,而人们识字的任务却很有限。

(二)它是最富有联想的智慧文字。汉字表义能力特别强,它像一幅图画,(像形文字,形意文字,意音文字,和大量的偏旁表义),看惯了这些字,目击的瞬间就能萌发联想,甚至产生情感,使人的认识迅速发生变化。例如看“风”、“疯”、“峰”、“丰”、“封”等字,一看就能理解其意义并产生想象它所表现的情境,而拼音文字的“feng”,目击它时人毫无感觉,只有读了前后文以后才懂得它的意义,思维就慢了一拍。

(三)它是世上独有的双脑文字。人们都知道语言逻辑思维开发左脑,而形象情感生活开发右脑功能,汉字组成的视觉语言,具备了双重功能,既促进概念逻辑思维的发展,而文字图形又促进右脑的想象和情绪活动。所以因左脑外伤得了“失语症”的病人,不能听和说,却仍能看懂汉字写成的文章,可见汉字对左右脑的开发具有同样重要的作用。

(四)汉字是最优秀的艺术文字。因为汉字是一幅幅的图画,当然书写时容易美化,所以世界上的文字唯有汉字的书写能发展为一门“书法艺术”。看书法大师们的墨宝,有的高远飘逸,有的庄严凝重,有的苍劲有力,有的娟秀美丽,表现出种种神韵气质,这是世界上任何其它文字都难以表达的艺术美。

此外,汉字还特具简短明确的优点。它的音节少,最适合未来声控计算机使用。又随着中国经济飞速发展,国际地位蒸蒸日上,加之我国进入WTO以后,随着国际交流的日益频繁,四海宾朋纷至沓来,汉字必将成为世界通用文字之一。当今世界各国汉字、汉语热的兴起,有力地证明了这一大趋势已经到来。

汉字真是中华民族的瑰宝,它是完全可与中国古代发明火药,造纸术、指南针、印刷术相媲美的中国“第五大发明”,所不同的是这“第五大发明”不仅古代功勋显赫,而今日和未来的中国与世界,将是它更加发挥威力的时代!

二、识字阅读点燃智慧

中国人民自古以来重视识字阅读,在人才成长中把它放在与丰富生活感受同等重要的地位。所谓成才者需要“行万里路”,“读万卷书”的教导流传至今就是证明。上个世纪前人们把“上学”往往说成“读书”也说明阅读在学习中无可比拟的地位。

我把识字阅读称之谓“腾飞的一翼”。腾飞必须有双翼,其中一翼是 丰富的生活感受,扩大视野,动手动脑,处理人际关系,经受各种历炼„„人的直接经验才可能认识世界和自己,它又是领会书本知识,认识万物的基础。但腾飞还必须有另一翼,那就是识字和阅读,因为世界的广阔性、多样性、复杂性和不断发展着的万事万物,人决不可能事事直接经历,必须依赖大量阅读来充实自己。识字阅读这一翼对于人才的萌生和飞跃同样不可有半点儿或缺,它甚至是文化人和愚昧人重要的分水岭。

关于直接经验的重要性和教育途径我在《假期重于学期》一书中有详尽的阐述,这里只简要地介绍识字阅读对于儿童成长的重要意义和作用:

第一,孩子的识字阅读能极大地发展智力。它极利于从小培养孩子的注意力、观察力、记忆力、思维力、想象力等等。当孩子被识字教学的趣味活动所吸引,与字宝宝交了朋友,又能琅琅上口地读儿歌,韵语、古诗、童话时,那种专注令人感动,那种观察汉字细微的差别也令人陶醉。至于思维和想象力的发展他们甚至能无师自通地说出为什么“江”“河”“湖”“海”都有三点水,“晴”“睛”“情”“请”看看偏旁就知道有什么不同意义等。到孩子进入阅读以后思维和想象的发展就更快了,直接把作者(许多是名家)的思维流,吸收而变为自己的思维流,甚至因大量阅读逐渐爬上了巨人的肩膀。

第三,孩子识字阅读极大地丰富知识。汉字是知识的载体,每一个汉字都有它的来历,都有丰富的知识含义,至于汉字纪录的大千文章更是展现在读者面前的知识江河和海洋,让孩子从小嬉戏于知识大海的滩头一角,拾取一些美丽的贝壳,对于他们将来横渡大洋去探宝,肯定有极强的诱惑力。数十万年来人类探索到的全部知识,能保存下来的极大部分都在书本—“视觉语言”库里,孩子喜爱阅读就能从小一点一点地接近它,选择它,吸收它。

第三,孩子识字阅读培养良好习惯、性格和从小爱书的美德。大量的优秀儿童读物,不仅优美有趣,更是孩子精神的佳肴。书中描绘着世界的奇妙,人间的美好和情爱,还有各种勤劳与懒惰,勇敢与怯懦,诚实与谎言,创新与保守,真善美与假恶丑的矛盾斗争„„通过阅读这些生动故事、童话、诗歌、散文当然是最自然的精神陶冶的最有效的思想品德教育,真是“随风潜入夜,润物细无声”。而且孩子从小爱书,就终生好学,一生与好书为伴,这也是高素质人才最重要的基本素质和美德。

第四、孩子识字阅读,从小培养了自学思考能力。在人的一生中,自学思考和创新能力是最重要的能力,而创新基于自学和思考。自学和思考又基于视觉语言(包括视觉语言发展为不出声的内部语言)——阅读能力。

社会上高素质、高品位的人实际上都是自学成才者,例如同样是大学毕业生,善于自学思考钻研者,博览群书,主动探索而出类拔萃。而只会听讲做笔记、背结论者毕业后连就业也困难。所以从小培养孩子读书思考,提出问题,分析问题,研究解决问题的能力,才是最最重要的。、孩子识字阅读的重要性,正与大教育家苏霍姆林斯基所说的:积三十年之经验,我确信儿童的智慧取决于阅读。

三、“视觉语言”与“听觉语言”同步相似发展

语言是人用来思维和交流思想的工具。它是作为人最基本的素质条件之一。人的语言有多种形式,有听觉语言(听话说话),视觉语言(识字阅读和作文),触觉语言(盲文)和手势语言(哑语),正常孩子务必从小学会听觉语言和视觉语言。

人们都认为听觉语言最易学,不学也会;视觉语言最难学,学也不会„„这是个天大的误解。听觉语言非常难,成年人穷其后半生数十年,也难以说好一门外语说,标准一口方言就是例证。但是婴幼儿不怕难,他出生以后天天听人说话,不知不觉地模仿和领悟,一二年便学到任何一种外语和方言,学得惟妙惟肖,天衣无缝,精妙逼真,并且毫无负担和压力。

这种听觉语言的自然教育是世界上最成功的早期教育法,在这种自然教育法的帮助下,可以说婴幼儿个个都是“神童”。如果人类让婴幼儿的视觉语言与听觉语言同步相似地发展,那么每一个孩子也能像学会说话、走路、认物、听音乐一样,不知不觉识字脱盲,三四岁学会阅读,五六岁博览群书,并且终生爱书,学会自学和思考。这一理论是《0岁方案》的重大发现之一,20多年来已培养出千万个小读者,建树了我国识字教学的最新里程碑。

发展视觉语言的方法,与现实的中小学识字阅读教学有根本的区别: 一是性质不同:早期发展视觉语言是人的基本的素质培养,就像人必须会认物走路、说话一样;而中小学生识字阅读作为系统文化知识的传授。

二是进度不同:早期发展婴幼儿视觉语言重在培养兴趣和习惯,没有进度要求。有了良好的识字阅读兴趣,三四岁定能脱盲阅读,就像1岁半的孩子定会走路一样。而中小学的识字教学是有严密的进度指标要求的。

三是质量要求不同:早期发展视觉语言,任孩子理解多少是多少,记住多少是多少,哪怕只会指认而读不出音也算识字。而中小学生识字,是要求认识字形,读准字音,理解字义,学会书写甚至默写,要求“四会同步”。

四是方法不同:早期视语的发展是讲究生活游戏中不知不觉耳濡目染,像学会听话说话那样不露痕迹的教学法;而中小学生识字一概是课堂教学,教师讲学生听,做作业、考试。

具体地说早期视觉语言发展的方法有四大类:

1、环境濡染教学法;

2、生活参与教学法;

3、游戏活动教学法;

4、趣味阅读教学法;

如果你完全遵循以上的视语教学规律,那么每一个生理上正常发育的孩子一定能像学会说话、走路、认物,听音乐一样不知不觉地三四岁脱盲阅读,五六岁博览群书,毫无负担和压力,这是识字阅读教学有史以来破天荒的重大创举。

现在我们又找到了视觉语言发展的第五种方法,即《汉字宫》教学法。

四、让个个孩子走进瑰丽多彩的汉字宫殿

由于两种语言同步相似发展的理论非常超前,一般家庭也难以完全理解和适时实施,那么让每个4~8岁的孩子早早走进瑰丽多彩的汉字宫殿,让他们快快乐乐地认字一年左右(每天约半小时),掌握3000个常用和较常用汉字,进入低幼读物的阅读,并培养起非常爱书的美德,这在家庭、幼儿园和小学低年级教师的配合下达到这一目标是轻而易举的。

《汉字宫》是一部大型科教艺术电视片。经白双法教授数十年研究,贯诚华文公司投入巨资历时5年拍摄完成。它创造性地运用影视故事的手法教孩子学汉字,是给孩子乃至家长和老师送去的“汉语有声有色大字典”。

《汉字宫》的故事情节,是一位古代走来的,和蔼可亲的汉字老爷爷,带着两个天真活泼的小朋友畅游汉字宫殿。汉字爷爷给孩子们讲解每个汉字的来历,读音、字形、意义和书写,把象形字、形意字、意音字都讲得栩栩如生,孩子看电视时神情专注,喜笑颜开,加之在教师辅导下做识字游戏,就不知不觉把汉字印入脑海里。

为什么《汉字宫》受到小朋友、家长、老师的普遍欢迎呢,因为《汉字宫》的识字教学有以下突出的特点和优点,是任何其他形式的识字教学不可比的。

第一、“汉字宫”类似

话剧情节生动有趣,符合孩子年龄心理特点。汉字爷爷的表情讲解颇有神秘感,能激发孩子的好奇心;老爷爷和孩子的对话以及孩子之间的对话都饶有风趣,能把作为同龄人的观众也带入汉字宫内享受玩中识字的快乐,从而使单调乏味的识字氛围一扫而空。

第二,每一个字都展现实景形象,给孩子一个记忆的支柱。孩童处于右脑优势时代,形象记忆非常敏感,汉字宫尽可能展现情景形象与字形、字音、字义的联系,就做到了识字教学化繁就简,化难为易了,这样孩子都能不知不觉记住实景形象而把汉字形象联想起来。

第三,极大地开阔了孩子的视野。丰富了他们的生活感受。“汉字宫”运用现代数码影视高科技术,把实景与二维、三维动画有机给合起来。能表现自然界,人类社会、古代、现代、太空、海底和人们所能想象的各种场景,这样孩子们就能跟随汉字老爷爷周游世界,不论天上、地下、高山、大海、森林、草原、沙漠还是人间仙境,只要汉字能表现的地方,汉字能代表的事物,孩子们都能长见识,极大地开阔了视野,丰富了知识,这是任何识字课堂一块黑板,一支粉笔,几张卡片无法可匹的。

第四、“汉字宫”以类聚字,往往是同类性质的字编在一、二集中出现。如申、神、伸、呻、绅、审、婶 等都与“申”有关,这样便于孩子联想记忆,特别有利于记住字形,又容易理解有关偏旁部首所表的字义;再通过单字配词讲解,让孩子较快地丰富词汇,加深理解,准备向阅读过渡。

第五、“汉字宫”重视了写字教学,教给孩子笔划名称,笔顺规律、间架结构,还在屏幕上写字给孩子看;把汉字美丽的书写展示出来,这样久而久之,孩子会受到潜移默化的影响。今后能在老师、家长指导下写出一笔好字来。

基于以上五大优点,我们应当让每个3~9岁的孩子走进汉字宫殿,跟随汉字爷爷进行一年的识字旅游,奠定人生和人才一项重要的基础素质工程同时,也让孩子享受童年的一大乐事。

五、名人最初的足迹留下的启示

研究古今中外名人伟人成长的记录无不具备三大特点,一是自幼培养起远大理想志气,良好性格和做大事的气概;二是他们的童年和青少年生活丰富多彩,有可贵的实践和历炼;第三则是他们自幼识字爱书,并且儿童少年期即博览群书。„„可以这么说,以上三者是人才金鼎之三足,缺一而不可立。

但以上三者不是割裂、分离的,是你中有我我中有你,如良好的性格习惯更让孩子兴致勃勃地做事和读书,而阅读好书又指导和丰富了孩子的生活,陶冶了性格,培养了志气。当今社会显然孩子们的阅读能力、阅读习惯和阅读量太低了,究其原因,一是识字滞后发展,孩子没有读书的兴趣;二是影视生活和电脑游戏占去了孩子太多的课余时间;三是教学中教师讲课多,满堂灌,没有指导孩子读书,加之作业负担太重;四是成年人也大多不爱阅读,给了孩子耳濡目染的坏影响。这样国家规定的义务教育期间9年内每个学生应读2000万字的阅读量远远没有完成,学生的视觉语言、内部语言怎能发达,视野和知识面怎能广阔,所获信息怎能丰富而广泛地链接呢?怎样又能养成一生爱书,博览群书的良好习惯呢?

再看看中外名人的阅读,我们将受到怎样的启示:

德国、卡尔·威特4岁阅读。8岁懂6国文字,14岁获博士学位,16岁任柏林大学教授,是法学、但丁学权威。

控制论创始人维纳,4岁大量阅读,7岁读但丁和达尔文专著,12岁上大学。大诗人,思想家歌德,4岁广泛阅读,8岁读懂5国文字。英国“电波之父”麦克思韦,童年生活丰富,又能大量阅读。

达尔文,四五岁识字读书,非常热爱大自然,青年时代周游世界,是“进化论”的创始人。

张衡,中国古代大科学家,幼年识字。10岁博览群书,自学天文地理,发明地震仪等有多项杰出科研成果。

唐初四杰之一王勃6岁写文章,“构思无滞,词情英迈”。15岁写出千古名篇《滕王阁序》。

骆宾王,6岁写《咏鹅》诗。李白,“五岁诵六甲,十岁观百家”。

白居易:“七龄思即壮,开口诵凤凰”即写《凤凰》诗。杜甫:6岁显露诗才,9岁通声律,13岁写“离离原上草,一岁一枯荣„„”千古名篇。

大诗人黄庭坚5岁熟读五经,后又读《春秋》十日成诵,7岁写牧童诗:“骑牛远远过前村,吹笛横斜隔垅闻,多少长安名利落,机关用尽不如君”,小小年纪对当时社会有如此灼见。

历史上曹植、李贺、陆游及唐宋八大家都因早期识字阅读习作而崭露头角,柳宗元4岁读完家里父亲留下的全部藏书。明代医圣李时珍很小读完《释鸟》、《释兽》等难懂的书,还认识父亲行医的大量汤头药方。

清代大学者顾炎武6岁读完《大学》,10岁攻读《孙子》、《吴子》等兵书,及《左传》、《战国策》等史书。

梁启超4岁读四书、6读完五经、11岁考中秀才。杨洲八怪之首郑板桥6岁熟读四书五经。

近代气象学家竺可桢、画家齐白石、诗人黄遵宪,画家徐悲鸿,革命先躯李大钊、卓越领导人周恩来,任弼时,还有鲁迅、郭沫若、闻一多、沈从文、起树理、熊庆来等文学家都是自幼酷爱识字读书的,把名家的思维流变为自己的思维流,吸收知识和新思想,加以创造因而成为大学问家。

最后,还要介绍一个世界著名的民族,犹太民族给人类的启发,犹太民族人口并不多,不到一千万,可是出了像马克思、爱因斯坦、达尔文、弗洛依德等等大科学家大名家,一个多世纪来,全世界获得诺贝尔科学奖的仅600余人,犹太人(不足我们一个大城市人口多)却夺得了120多个,真是令人瞠目!究其原由是犹太人重视早期教育,重视行为规范又特别重视识字阅读,所以犹太人历史上没有文盲,个个从小爱书读书。据统计14岁以上犹太人平均每月看一本新书,这是何等巨大的信息量!我们从这里想开去,如果中国13亿人口都消除了文盲、半文盲,人人会自学,思考和创新,那么我国的人才群体会像太空的星云那样密集。视觉语言理论和《汉字宫》定将促进我国在不久的将来进入这个伟大的理想境界。

一.活动目的1.营造浓厚的法学系英语学习氛围,提高学生对英语学习的兴趣,加强学生的英语交流能力和应用能力.2.增强学生的反应能力和应变能力

3.培养学生团队合作意识,增进学生之间的交流。

4.提高学生综合素质,展现当代大学生积极向上的精神风貌

1.制作海报并张贴于公告栏

2.将此活动以班级为单位传达

六.报名事宜

1.报名时间:2012年4月

2.比赛时间:2012年4月25日

3.报名方式:参赛者在班长处领取报名表,每份报名表需附参赛的自备绕口令

六.活动流程

(一)赛制:本场比赛共4节,其中第三节为晋级赛,前两节总分前五名者进入第三节,最后积分最高者获胜。

(二)具体流程

第一关:自备绕口令

此关选手需背诵自备绕口令。

第二关:随机绕口令

此关选手需抽取一个题目,将其朗诵出。

第三关:挑战区(参赛选手只能任选其一,每题5分,计时120秒)1谚语:参赛者需用中文翻译出题目中出现的谚语

2文化背景:关于国外的生活方式,历史,节日等一系列的文化背景的题目.其中大多数是以选择题的形式出现。

比赛结束,评委进行打分,分数最高的小组获胜。

亚军一名:奖状+奖品

季军一名:奖状+奖品
