3月2日，“创意英伦”盛典在上海龙美术馆（西岸馆）隆重开幕，这场持续三天的活动因为威廉王子的现身吸引了格外多的注意力，威廉王子的“吸金”能力也可见一斑。根据主办方提供的数据，这场盛典有望在未来5年为英国经济带来1.5亿英镑的收益。

根据盛典主办方提供的信息，当日中英企业在旅游、医疗、电影电视、电子商务、金融服务等领域宣布了一系列合作协议，包括伯明翰机场、海南航空及凯撒旅游将在今年夏天开启北京至伯明翰的航班，这将为英国当地创造1900万英镑的经济效益；英国中药研发企业Phynova研发的一款传统中药获得通过，有望在未来5年创收1500万英镑。
盛典主办方称，这场盛典将支持英国商界寻求在中国的发展机遇，从而增加英国就业率，并刺激英国经济增长，有望在未来5年为英国经济带来1.5亿英镑的收益。
