亲爱的领导、同仁们：
节约是美德，节约是智慧，节约是品质，节约是涵养，节约是责任。
对人类来说，地球是个庞然大物，可是在茫茫宇宙之中，它却只不过象是汪洋大海之中的一艘航船，因为它的资源和空间都是有限的。随着人类改造自然能力的增强，越来越多的资源被人类开发利用，许多资源已呈现出匮乏之势，尤其是不可再生的资源类已面临枯竭。人口剧增、资源枯竭、环境污染的严峻现实，使人类达成了空前的共识：过度的高消费、高浪费的生活方式，不仅会污染和破坏当世人类的生存环境，而且会透支先辈的积累，耗尽地球资源，预支后代的储蓄，破坏他们生存和发展基础。因此，为了子孙万代的幸福，必须保护环境，珍惜资源，必须继承和发扬节俭的优良传统。
目前，国家正在提倡 “节能减排，建设节约型社会”的理念，作为承传人类文明的主人，我们除了应该积极响应国家号召，担负起应该承担的责任，切实完成好自己应尽的义务之外，更应该发挥自己的聪明才智，为建设“节约型社会，节约型酒店”提出自己的构想与建议，并以自己的行动影响和监督周围的人，共同努力保护人类共同的家园。为此，我们向全酒店发出倡议：
节约“一滴水”、“一度电”、“一张纸”、“一粒米”，真正能做到这四点的人却很少很少！谁不希望头顶的天空湛蓝如镜，谁不希望脚下的大地绿草如茵，谁不希望身边的湖水清澈明净，谁不希望眼前的阳光灿烂如金。是啊，谁不希望能有如此天然的一幅画面呢？但现在我们却距离它越来越远了。生态环境的日益破坏使我们的家园遭到了严重的威胁，天空湛蓝如镜，大地绿草如茵，已经快要不复存在了，而我们却又执迷不悟的破坏环境，这种状况实在令人担忧。
针对如此，我万隆厨房部特拟定以下初始方案，拟资不全，尚请见谅：
1、厨房保持良好的通风环境和加大炒灶风机功率,否则燃料燃烧时没有充足的氧气,特别费气。此点需要新增交流电通风设备，减少三相动力风机开发时间，有请酒店高层领导决议，衔接工程部执行；
2、微波炉启动时用电量大，操作人员使用时尽量掌握好时间,减少重复开关次数,做到一次启动烹调完成；
3、米在容器内预先浸泡约20分钟,再加热可缩短成熟时间,这样颇能节能；
4、使用一次性水笔的，水笔外壳保留，续用笔芯；
5、不必“人手一件”的用具降低采购量，多人合用；
6、新员工培训邀请工程部给员工讲授有关节能减排的知识，从一开始就提高员工的节约意识；
7、减少开关冰箱的次数，存取食品后尽快关闭冰箱门；
8、看到浪费电的行为及时劝阻，让更多的人和我们一样懂得节电的重要性，共同节约电资源，应对此点，厨房部已经着手建立“每个开关都有责任人”“炒菜结束后5分钟内关闭风机，延续5分钟的作用是排除废气”的措施，9、洗手过程中，在打肥皂时，应先暂时关闭水龙头，建议工程部在一些合理位置改装感应式水龙头；
10、请工程部对门口等人员走动极少且对灯光延续要求不高的地方改装延时感应灯；
11、把单面用过的纸张等收集起来，用作草稿纸。
12,、坚决拒烹国家保护野生动植物
13、不使用国家限制用品，不超标国家规定规范用品及食品添加剂

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.Today I would like to begin with a story.There was once a physical 1)therapist who traveled all the way from America to Africa to do a 2)census about mountain 3)gorillas.These gorillas are a main attraction to tourists from all over the world;this put them severely under threat of 4)poaching and being put into the zoo.She went there out of curiosity, but what she saw strengthened her determination to devote her whole life to fighting for those beautiful creatures.She witnessed a scene, a scene taking us to a place we never imaged we've ever been, where in the very depth of the African rainforest, surrounded by trees, flowers and butterflies, the mother gorillas 5)cuddled their babies.Yes, that's a memorable scene in one of my favorite movies, called Gorillas in the Mist, based on a true story of Mrs.Dian Fossey, who spent most of bet lifetime in Rwanda to protect the ecoenvironment there until the very end of her life.To me, the movie not only presents an unforgettable scene but also acts as a 6)timeless reminder that we should not develop the tourist industry at the cost of our ecoenvironment.Today, we live in a world of prosperity but still threatened by so many new problems.On the one hand, tourism, as one of the most promising industries in the 21st century, provides people with the great opportunity to see everything there is to see and to go any place there is to go.It has become a lifestyle for some people, and has turned out to be the driving force in GDP growth.It has the magic to turn a backward town into a wonderland of prosperity.But on the other hand, many problems can occur---natural scenes aren't natural anymore.Deforestation to heat lodges is devastating Nepal.Oil spills from tourist boats are polluting Antarctica.Tribal people are forsaking their native music and dress to listen to U2 on Walkman and wear Nike and Reeboks.All these 7)appalling(令人震惊的)facts have brought us to the realization that we can no longer stand by and do nothing, because the very thought of it has been 8)eroding(侵蚀)our resources.Encouragingly, the explosive growth of global travel has put tourism again in the spotlight, which is why the United Nations has made 2002 the year of ecotourism, for the first time to bring to the world's attention the benefits of tourism, but also its capacity to destroy our ecoenvironment.Now every year, many local ecoenvironmental protection organizations an: receiving donations--big notes, small notes or even coins--from housewives, 9)plumbers(水管工人), ambulance drivers, salesmen, teachers, children and 10)invalids(残疾人), Some of them can not afford to send the money but they do.These are the ones who drive the cabs, who nurse in hospitals, who are suffering from ecological damage in their neighborhood.Why?
