英语四级写作辅导之常考题型及写作思路
四级写作常考话题主要为两类：校园类和社会类。校园话题含绿色校园、选修课、社团活动等；社会话题为博物馆、环境、娱乐活动等。
四级写作体裁有三种：论说文、应用文及图表作文。1990年至2010年42次四级写作中三种体裁的分布如下：
可见，四级写作考察重点是论说文。其中，近12次四级考试中论说文考了10次，应用文2次，图表作文0次。因此，建议复习重点为论说文。
论说文有三种：问题解决型、观点对比型和现象描述型。其中问题解决型作文是近年考察重点（5次），其次是观点对比型（3次）和现象描述型（2次）。
论说文建议采用三段式写作思路。
（1）观点对比型：该类作文是2011年重点备考类型，理由如下： 2008年12月至2010年12月连续五次均考“问题解决型”作文，改换类型几率较高。接下来，请关注一下该类作文命题形式的变化。
可以看出，当前该类作文的命题不同与2000年之前，具体表现在命题思路上。区别主要体现提纲形式的变化上：

（4）例文点评及高分作文特征：内容切题、结构清晰和语言精彩。
按照大纲规定，写作从内容和语言两个方面对作文进行综合评判。想在写作部分取得理想分数，考生需从三方面入手：内容切题、结构清晰和语言精彩。三方面中，内容切题是基本要求，结构清晰体现在段落层面上有清晰的写作思路，语言精彩是写作本质要求。在满足前两个条件的基础上，语言质量最终决定写作成绩的高低。
语言精彩表现在三个方面：遣词、造句、连贯。概括为：句子结构词多变、起承转合逻辑显。
遣词：例文用词有一定的广度和深度。广度（variety）：广泛使用多种不同形式的词汇表达，如同义词、同根词、同一范畴内的上义词、下义词和相关词汇，以及代词替换等。深度（academic）：选择用词方面不一定要字字珠玑，但最后有一些亮点词汇的点缀，如：important 可以替换为 indispensable；more and more people 可以替换为 an increasing number of people，I think that 可以替换为 I am convinced that等等。造句：例文句子结构富有变化，如：长短句结合、被动句、定语从句、名词性从句、强调句式、同位语等。
连贯：体现在起承转合的逻辑关系词上：如，moreover，to begin with，however，so，first，second等词语的运用使逻辑思路清晰可见。
（5）应用文和图表作文的复习：应用文和图表作文的写作虽非近年考查重点，但它们是考试大纲和教学大纲中规定的考查内容，应该全面复习。
应用文的写作复习重点在于掌握其格式（如，书信、通知、海报、交通事故见证书、演讲词）、开头和结尾的惯用表达方式。若应用文给出提纲，则只需在满足格式要求的前提下，按照提纲要求进行写作即可。值得一提的是四级考试之中的应用文复习对于现行的研究生入学英语考试写作部分小作文很有帮助。
图表作文是近年四级写作出现频率最低的一类作文，最近一次考查是2002年6月。建议在考前复习首段图表描述的写法，该类作文其他段落的写法与论说文无异。

短文听力的提问方式最常见的有4种类型。
1、中心思想题。这类问题主要是测试文章的主题思想。
提问方式有：What is the main idea of the passage? What can we learn from this passage? What is the best title for this passage? What is the passage mainly about? What is the speaker talking about?等等。
做这一类题时一定要注意集中精力听好短文的开头，因为四级听力短文一般会开门见山，把中心思想置于文章的开头。另外，如果文中反复出现同一词汇或同一类词汇，同样也值得我们特别注意，因为包含有这类词汇的选项能较好地体现中心思想，通常就是正确答案。
2、事实细节题。所考察的细节包括具体时间、地点、主要人物或事件、各种数字等，问题一般为wh-question的形式。
这类题要求我们听到文中出现时间、数字时一定要特别敏感，及时做好笔记；另外，文中一旦出现以因果连词(如because, so, due to等)和转折连词(如but, however, though等)引导的句子也要格外留心，这些地方往往就是考点。
3、对错判断题。这类题常用以下提问方式：Which of the following is true/not true, according to the passage? Which of the following is not mentioned？等等。听到这类题时，一定要听清提问，对于有没有not一词要弄清楚。一般情况下，not一词会重读。
4、推理推测题。这类题需要对文中的信息进行分析推断，才能作出正确的选择。提问方式有：What can be infer from the passage? What does the speaker think about the problem...? What does the speaker most concerned about? How does the writer feel about...?等等。
做这类题时一定要注意与短文内容一样的不是推断，而且一定要根据短文的观点而不是根据自己的观点来推断。

记叙文的思路与练习
记叙文是以叙述人物的经历和事物的发展变化过程为主要表现形式的一种文体。记叙文既可以以写人为主，又可以以写事为主。写记叙文要注意记叙文的“六大要素”即：
时间(When)—— 何时发生，有没有具体时间?
地点(Where)—— 何地发生，有没有地点变化?
人物(Who)—— 何人参与，谁是主角?
事件(What)—— 发生了什么，有何特点?
原因(Why)—— 事件的起因?
结果(How)—— 事件的经过及结局?
一般说来，在一篇记叙文中这六大要素是缺一不可的。
记叙文的思路就围绕这六大要素充分展开。
【例】四级考试中，只出现过一次专门的记叙文体裁的写作，即“An Early Morning Walk”(1988.6.)，2003年6月出现过包含记叙文的作文，即“An Eye-Witness Account of a Traffic Accident”。
对于“An Early Morning Walk”，知道命题要求后，我们就要开始构思了。
When：题目已规定了是“清晨”，在这个时候，“我”去散步。
Where：到哪儿散步?去公园?在校园里?在街上(街上空气不好，还是不去!)。
Who：在公园里看到晨练的人：中老年人、年轻人、小孩子;在校园里看到读书背单词的学生。
What：人们热火朝天地做操，随音乐跳舞，打球，等等。
Why：清晨空气清新，适合锻炼;一日之际在于晨，背背书，读读单词。
当然，由这个题目可以令人想到很多东西，因篇幅所限，我们做了删减。

3.分类法(classification)
分类法就是把说明的对象，按一定的标准划分成不同类别分别加以说明的方法。如：上述范文介绍人生的三种目标，并按照时间的长短对终生目标、长期目标和短期目标做了分类说明。
4.比较法(comparison)
比较法是用一个事物和与其有联系的其他事物加以对比的说明方法。目的是为了帮助读者准确地区分事物，通过对比达到对该事物的深刻认识。
如：上述范文对三种人生目标在时间上和实际操作上进行了比较，并阐明了彼此的联系。
