1,把题目分类:本人大概分了这几类:亲人篇,朋友篇,失败篇(成功篇,这两个可以互相转化,具体见下文),追求理想篇(比如你是追求金钱和名利还是do what you want),善恶美丑篇,素质道德篇,生活篇等等等——大家可以按照喜欢的方式分~

以下是本人手头上的题(offcial guide的8个写作里面我留了4个给我自己练习用,就不公布了~)

学习类主题是SAT常考的话题,因为这跟我们同学们的生活最贴近,但与TOEFL具体的问题不同的是,SAT考题非常抽象,如:

1)Do you think that teaching something to another person can help you to learn or master a subject or process?

2)Do you believe that fantasy and imagination is more important than knowledge? 想象力比知识更重要? 善恶美丑类

1)It is true that one can always find opportunity ,even in trouble?

2)Does weird behavior indicate an ordinary or an extraordinary persons?

3)Do you agree with the idea that the strong do what they wish?

4)It is true that there are no ugly things?

人生观类(个人与他人、与社会的关系)

对于人生观的理解,是SAT考察的另一个重点。如“who you are”“what is your choice”,个人是否需要了解自我来发展自我,个人是否需要经历磨难,是否需要他人的帮助等等。

1)Do we ourselves cause changes in our lives by making certain decisions, or are we acted upon by events that happen around us?

2)Do you agree that it is important not to take things for granted? 世界观类

1)Do you agree with the idea that war is never justified?

2)What motivates people to change?

3)Is conscience a more powerful motivator than money?

4)Do changes that make our lives easier not nessarily make them better? Thomas Edison had over 1000 “failures”before he fanally succeeded in inventing the electric bulb。

第一题:Should heroes be defined as people who say what they think when we ourselves lack the courage to say it? 英雄是否应该定义为这样一种人:当我们缺乏勇气表达自己内心想法的时候,他们却勇于说出自己的真实想法?

解题:这道题算是比较简单,同学们一般会联想到的论据是马丁·路德·金、甘地、曼德拉、哥白尼、伽利略、布鲁诺、达尔文等等。由此,我们引出第一类论据:人物论据。实际上,人物论据是我们在解决SAT题目时使用最多的一类论据,大约可以应用于大约60%以上的题目。同学们在备考过程应该找3~5个名人,把他们研究透彻,用到文章里面去。这些名人应该具备以下一些品质:勇敢、坚强、乐观、追求卓越、百折不挠、逆境成才、勇于挑战权威、积极服务他人等等。

第二题:Do you think that ease does not challenge us and that we need adversity to help us discover who we are? 顺境不足以挑战我们,我们需要逆境来了解自己,是否同意?

解题:人物论据。

第三题:Is conscience a more powerful motivator than money, fame, or power? 良知是不是一种比金钱、荣誉、权利更为强大的驱动力?

解题:人物论据。

第四题:Do we need other people in order to understand ourselves? 我们是否需要他人以了解自己?

解题:此题引出两类论据:

一、个人经历;

二、企业论据。个人经历比较简单,写一个发生在自己身上或身边的故事即可。企业论据可以写企业通过观察竞争对手,发现自己身上存在的不足。比如肯德基和麦当劳,诺基亚和索尼爱立信,波音和空中客车等等。

第五题:Is the world changing for the better? 世界是不是越来越好?

解题:此题引出两类论据:

一、科技发展的好处;

二、科技发展的坏处,主要体现在环境污染方面。科技发展的好处很多,可以写医学的进步延长寿命、农业的进步养活人口、家用电器方便人类生活。环境污染可以分类展开:水污染、大气污染、土壤污染、噪音污染、固体废物污染,等等。

第六题:Can success be disastrous? 成功会不会带来灾难?

解题:同上题。如果写不会带来灾难,则写科技发展的好处。如果写会带来灾难,则写科技进步导致环境污染。

第七题:Do changes that make our lives easier not necessarily make them better? 让我们生活变得更加简单的那些变化,是否让我们的生活变得更好?

解题:同上题。写科技发展的好处,或者写科技发展造成环境污染。

第八题:Is there always another explanation or another point of view? 是不是总存在另外一种观点?

解题:同意。科技进步的确方便了我们的生活;但是从一个角度来看,也污染了我们的生存环境。

第九题:What motivates people to change? 什么促使人们改变?

解题:这类题目要求考生自主定义。我们戏称之为“爽歪歪”题型,原因是只要把我们之前写过的题目中的关键词填在这里就可以了。比如说,如果我们写过第一题,我们就可以说Courage motivates people to change.如果我们写过第二题,我们就可以说Adversity motivates people to change.同理,如果我们写过第三题,我们就可以说Conscience motivates people to change.(或者Money, fame and power motivate people to change.)

第十题:Is deception ever justified? 谎言是否正确?

解题:这道题除了可以写自己生活中的谎言,也可以来自于文学作品和战争历史中的White Lie(善意的谎言)。比如,《了不起的盖茨比》中的男主人公,为了获得真爱,不得不欺骗自己的爱人。再比如,南北战争中,南方军队为了保存实力、避免伤亡,利用战术蒙骗了北方军队。我们可以写谎言不好,比如结合时事,有些企业欺骗消费者,由此带来巨大伤害。

Tips:定期模考!大家千万不要信任考场老师的算数能力,一定要自己计时算好时间,发现问题马上报告老师。数学要重视

千万不要忽视数学,本次上1500的同学居然大部分数学都没有满分,有的同学阅读比数学还高,否则就1560了;有的同学上次阅读不好,语法不错或者数学满分,所以放松了数学和语法的学习,结果这次阅读上来了,语法和数学却下降了,导致总分没有太大变化,这个现象不止出现在个别同学身上,请一定引以为戒;次考试curve不一样,时紧时松;像这次,同样数学错三题,亚洲给790分,北美给770分,但是三月亚洲的题数学错6道就扣了100分。如果你那次考试curve紧,稍微错几道题可能50-100分就没有了!如果想拿1500+,就要往全对的方向去努力,不能有一点侥幸心理。备考时间

单词没背多少,阅读第二篇美国历史就爆炸了,单词题错了很多。

第二是需要熟悉题型,获得感觉,千万不要想着一次就结束,就算在四大名校这也很难做到。我第一次考SAT时只准备了3个月,发现时间是不够的,一般来说6-8个月的准备最为稳妥。

这里补充一句,上面这段备考时间是针对高

一、高二时间还比较充裕的同学,并且需要大家结合托福成绩综合考虑,一般托福没达到85分不建议准备SAT。如果你已经高三,那么唯有抓住剩下的时间做一些冲刺了。积累

考试归根结底考的是能力。如果能力够了,备考的过程就会很顺利。不幸的是,能力…很难速成。我认为在SAT考试中最重要的两项能力——阅读速度和单词量,这都是要靠长时间的练习和积累来提升。

提高阅读速度就要多读。我初中读第一本英文书Twilight的时候还需要时刻查着字典,幸好它的情节性很强,支撑着我以极慢的速度看完了它。

后来陆续读了1984之类更为严肃的文学作品,准备SAT2、AP的时候翻完了一摞数学/科学的英文教辅;夏校我在CMU选修逻辑性分析课的时候,啃下来一堆哲学方面的阅读作业,自觉对阅读能力又是一次大的提升。每一次咬牙读完原本很有挑战性的内容,都是一次进步。同样,扩充词汇量需要多背。有的时候我还是会偷懒,所以单词量一直是我的弱项,希望大家一定要吸取我的教训…新SAT的词汇考察重点由生僻词转为了更加实用的词汇;背单词的时候如果可以留意单词的英文释义而非简单地记中英对照,对词意的理解会准确很多。备考

这次我准备新SAT的时间比较短,主要用到的材料是OG(官方指南)和KhanAcademy(可汗学院)上的练习。三立教育www.xiexiebang.com

OG对于考试的要求、题型和考察的技能都作了官方的说明,并且给出了一些样题。备考的时候我把整本书读了一遍,对新SAT的考试形式就有比较清晰的了解了。对我尤其有帮助的是在essay部分OG给出的范文。

练习的时候我会仿照高分的作文来写,这让我更具体地理解了作文的评分标准。另外,数学部分虽然不难,但可能会涉及到中国学生没有接触过的知识点,所以建议大家还是大致看一下。

可汗学院把SAT练习分了类,让考生可以有针对性地进行训练。我备考的时候先把每一类题都做了一些,发现自己相对较弱的题型之后再针对它们集中训练,这样就避免了做了很多套题却还是不知道怎样提高的茫然。

在准备各类考试的过程中,我觉得高效的关键是清楚地知道自己的弱点在哪里,然后才能制定相应的学习计划并有效提升。一些误区

1、背单词

在每一个单词上花费过多的时间。比如每个单词都看好多条释义和例句,甚至查字典顺藤摸瓜摸到词源,以做研究的态度来背单词。

没错,SAT很多单词考的意思远远超出了它的中文释义,但那不是用单词书背出来的,是平时阅读积累训练出来的。而且在题目的环境中,有很多词你只要知道它的大概意思,就能通过对比选项选出来。

如果把背单词变成研究了,一天几个小时也未必能研究明白几十个单词。而且研究的深度跟单词记忆没什么关系,背单词就需要简单粗暴,关键在于次数和频率。

2、阅读

没有搞清楚自己弱势文章的类型。在平时训练中我们一定要先搞明白自己的弱势文章类型,三立教育www.xiexiebang.com

比如对我来讲历史类话题会有种看不下去的感觉,先不说内容太不贴近生活,通常这类文章的语言也是很官方,通篇读完就是一头雾水,读不懂文章,对于整个内容的把握、主旨的提炼都是非常费劲的,更别说一些态度题、荀证题了。

所以总结自己的弱势文章类型非常重要,在考前一定要大量阅读。

3、语法

不读文章或扫一眼文章直接做题。确实有些标点或单词辨析题是可以只读那一句的,但新SAT更加注重阅读理解,通常一篇文章的的70%以上的题都需要联系上下文,既然这样还不如踏踏实实认真读完全文,所以我的建议是不要讨巧,一开始就老老实实读完文章。

4、刷题

巴朗的题目不要刷(好像试卷编号是A01-07),自虐除外。语法从b14之后都可以,有参考性,如果都做完了可以试一下ACT的,因为题型差不多。

真题要慎用,一定要慎用,一定一定要慎用。记得我第一次做OG,考的平均1420,考前做了一遍是1540,以为第一次考就可以上1500,结果1430,可见真题的预测性还是很准的。

比如我这次模考的两张考卷,一张1510一张1490,这次就是1500。考前一两天,刷与不刷已经没什么用,我是非常怕考试的人,考前一直做题,做下来我都慌了,考试时发挥的还好。所以要最相信真题,考试一般和OG差不多。

5、考前

我推荐的做题资料主要是可汗,普林斯顿六套,og,开普兰8套,以及ACT(量力而行,实在没题再做)。题可以重复做,我可汗阅读做了两遍,小说历史做了三遍,语法至少四遍,开普兰两遍。

考前半个月或者10天,每天坚持做一套模考,做完不会的立马解决,记录在错题本上,每三立教育www.xiexiebang.com

天坚持背200-300个单词(复习),考前记得抓数学(我的数学就是一个反面教材,尽力了,我有点粗心),也是写tips,例如没看到四舍五入到千分位,ab倍数关系看反了。错题建议整理三遍,第一遍是刚做完,第二遍备考中期,第三遍考前临走前一天,就坐在教室里,从零开始。

但是这次要按题型整理在一起,不要翻看以前的。第一遍整理的时候,按套题整理,一套怎么错的就一道一道整理,不用分类,要加入上下文情节,稍微细致一点,因为毕竟题目基于文章。

第二遍就不用写关于那篇阅读的细节了,直接整理归纳成思维误区“点”,脱离这一道题,归纳出自己的一条条错误点,通性的错误。第三遍就开始分类整理,分不同题型,能全面的把握自己在某一特定方面的能力。

6、状态

到了考试当天,能做的只有调整好状态迎接考试了。对于已经做了充分准备的同学们,这就是成功之前的最后一步啦。每个考生都需要在考试之前找到最适合自己的考试状态;于我个人而言,在略微紧张的时候我发挥得最好,所以早晨醒来就会让自己提前进入这样的状态。已经辛辛苦苦学了这么久了,最后终于全神贯注心无杂念地完成那一套试卷的时候,不知道大家会不会和我一样有一种仪式感。

SAT不难,静下心来很难,当你学习到自己为之感动了,那也就离出分不远了。不沉迷于表象的分数,不断的完善自己,相信你们都会成功!
