Heights itself.When Mr.Lockwood, the tenant of Thrushcross Grange, pays his visit to Wuthering Heights, curious about the brooding quality and crumbing, menacing appearance of the Heights and the inscription over the door-the date ‗1500‘and the name ‗Hareton Earnshaw‘, Mr.Lockwood would like to ask his landlord about this, but Heathcliff proves to be unsociable, inhospitable, and brusque.―The ‗walk in‘ was uttered with closed teeth, and expressed the sentiment, ‗Go to the deuce‘: even the gate over which he leant manifested no sympathizing movement to the words;and I think that circumstance determined me to accept the invitation: I felt interested in a man who seemed more exaggeratedly reserved than myself.‖[18] This is the first appearance that Emily displayed to us.And the 就像记者评论的那样，许前辈真的就是一位卓越的刀锋经济学家，不是一般人可以配得上这个称号的，首先得有指责他人的资本，然后得有这份勇气，关键在于许先生是真正的关心时局，关心国家的前途与命运！

说他像刀，锋芒毕露，出手精准，直刺要害，其学界友人陈志武笑称之为：“不留余地，被他批的人，在地上都找不到一个可以躲的洞。”这样一个敢于挑战权威，敢于得罪人的经济学家，有很多值得我们学习的地方，不论是对对待知识学习、工作的态度，还是对社会现象的看法！

首先，我想谈谈许前辈对于他生活的不同时代的政治体制或者说一些社会现象的看法甚至是批判。首先不可否认，他热爱并关心我们的国家、社会的进步与发展。只是他以他自己的方式在传递着自己内心这份炽热的情感。“许小年从小浸润于最正统的思想中——‘爱党，爱国家，爱人民，对社会负责任，对人民负责任。’无论今天他的批判看似多么无情、充满嘲讽，但字里行间总能读到一种‘自上而下’的情怀与立场。他也承认，自己心底里“对这个党、对共和国，还是有一份感情在的”。读到这句话的时候，我突然想到了曾经学过的一篇关于庄子的文章，“庄子眼极冷，心肠极热。眼冷，故是非不管；心肠热，故悲慨万端。虽知无用，而未能忘情，到底是热肠挂住；虽不能忘情，而终不下手，到底是冷眼看穿。”我觉得在在很大程度上，许小年和庄子是有着类似的情怀的。一个把对国家前途的担忧埋在心里，而另一个则是口诛笔伐，更是招致了一些人咬牙切齿的恨意，但同是处于对大局的关心！

许前辈对政府政策和体制之弊的批判，刀锋直指某些身居高位的“尸位素餐”者，让听者既觉痛快淋漓，又隐隐生出不安。他是有资本的，从小就耳濡目染党的相关知识，对党的认知能力非常人所能及，正式因为这样他才会对当今的政府政策和体制有着清晰的概念，也才有资格批判。而我们当代很多大学生，经常抱怨中国政治经济体制不健全，教育制度亟待改革，政府官员腐败现象严重，林林总总。可实际上我们是否想过要从我们自身做起，为改变不良社会风气做出自己的一份贡献呢？比如说，在高校学习就不应该是为了应付考试，当今，平时翘课不认真学习，临考前临时抱佛脚的人比比皆是，我们是否该好好反思一下，如何更加高效地学习，充分利用大学里各种优质的资源，合理分配课余时间，在正确的时间用正确的方法做最正确的事情。再比如针对小悦悦事件爱你，我们没有资格一味地指责那十八位路人，如果我们在场的话我们说不准就是其中之一，我们要做的就是树立正确的世界观、人生

其次，我想谈谈许前辈对于学习与工作的态度。作为一名经济学家，他不仅仅拘囿于经济的知识圈子，而且还具有很高的文学素养，得益于古人和古文，许小年练就了出色的口才和洗练的文笔，中国企业家论坛主编傅小永评价说：“他是大陆经济学家中综合表达能力最好的一个”。而对于他本身专研的领域，他似乎从未满足于已经掌握的知识，在1985年前往加州大学攻读经济学博士，他感觉自己像一块干海绵丢进水中，饥渴地吸收各个学派的理论和知识。与他比起来，我们当代大学生有太多值得反思与忏悔的地方，作为一个羽翼还未丰满的求知者，在很多方面都应该积极吸取知识与养分，充实自己的大脑，提升自身的修养与素质！
