With the great support from the leaders, experts and higher learning institutions concerned, today the long-awaiting ICCAA successfully opens in Shenzhen special economic zone----the forward position of China’s opening and reform.First, on behalf of the organization committee and all the teachers and students in the College of Mathematics and Computaional Science, Shenzhen University, please allow me to give the warmest welcome to you.Shenzhen is a city, which is quite young and full of vitality.Shenzhen University is the first and, presently speaking, the only one comprehensive university on this land.As a part of SZU, the math College has been growing and further developing.However, we still can see the great gap in many aspects between our College and those in other universities.The growth of our College needs attention and help from all of you.This time, you have come from thousands, even ten thousands miles away, overcome the troubles the hot summer has brought to you on your trip.We quite appreciate your contribution to our work.And we also see this conference as a good opportunity to learn from you for further improvement.Your efforts will play an important role in the promotion of our work in the future.Therefore, on behave of all the teachers and students of Math College;I would like to give our sincere thanks to you.This is the first time for us to be responsible to hold such a big international conference, which is what we have long been looking forward to.Due to the limited conditions, our international conference center is under the decoration.So this time, we cannot provide a better and more comfortable working environment for you.And we have no rich experience in organizing the conference, which may incur some inconvenience.Here we must offer our apologies to you.“Can’t we feel happy when our friends come from far away?” although our work condition is not so nice, and we do not have sufficient experience in management, we want you to see our home hospitality.We will employ our energies to provide better service to you.Welcome to give your precious comments to us, which can help us to promote our work efficiency for a successful conference.Among the participants for this conference, over 20 foreign friends are from ten countries, The United States, Germany, Britain, France, Finland, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam and India.Other more than 50 participants are from China.A Chinese saying goes like this: Only through hundreds of centuries’ efforts in their pre-life, could it be possible for people to have the luck to be on the same boat to come across the river in their present life.If say, the momentary chance to take the same boat needs hundreds of centuries’ efforts in people’s pre-life, can we say that, because this time we will be together for 4 days, eating at the same table, living in the same building, exchanging our thoughts and learning from each other, this must be the result of thousands of centuries’ efforts in our pre-life? So I hope that all of us can cherish this very precious opportunity to establish long lasting friendship and have a long-term friendly cooperation in all aspects.I also appreciate all the support given by the leaders from the foreign

ON CME2011 Distinguished Guests and Leaders, Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Friends, It is an honor and a pleasure to welcome you on behalf of the Automation College of Harbin Engineering University to this conference on Complex Medical Engineering.Firstly thank every one of you for attending.Many of you have travelled great distances to be here.With excellentspeakers attending from dozens of countries, this conference is a truly global event.We are glad to see that hundreds of participants from overseas including United States, Canada, Italy, Australia, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, Korea ,Etc.andmore than fifty professionals from mainland chinaincluding Taiwan and Hong Kong have come to this event.Let me now turn to introduction of Automation College of HEU.The history of the Automation College can be traced back to 1953, when Harbin PLA Military Engineering Institute was founded.The College is being developed and strengthened through its core disciplines of 'Ocean Tunnel Measuring' and 'Ship-Electricity'.The College is one of the teaching and research backbones of HEU.There are 6 undergraduate programs including Automation, Measuring and Control Technology and Instruments, Electrical Engineering and its Automation, Detection Guidance and Control Technology, Biomedical Engineering, and Aviation Technology;16 master programs including Control Theory and Control Engineering, Navigation, Guidance and Control, Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems, Detection Technology and Automatic Equipment, Electric Machines and Electric Apparatus, Power System and its Automation, Precision Instrument and Machinery, Biomedical Engineering, Mechantronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, System Analysis and Integration, High Voltage and Insulation Technology, Power System and its Automation, Power Electronics and Power Drives, Traffic Information Engineering & Control, and Detection and Measuring Technology and Instrument;6 doctoral programs including Control Theory and Control Engineering, Navigation, Guidance and Control, Precision Instrument and Machinery, Detection Technology and Automation Equipment, Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems, and System Engineering.In addition, the nationally top ranking discipline of Control Science and Engineering has a Postdoctoral R&D Base.In 2001, the discipline of Navigation, Guidance and Control was appraised as a national key discipline.During the process of prejudication and proposal of the National 10th Five-years Plan and the '211 Project', Control Theory and Control Engineering and Navigation, Guidance and Control are listed as the key disciplines.To be internationally leading, the College has invested 23 million yuan RMB for the two disciplines' further construction.Finally ,you are sincerely invited to come to Harbin Engineering University and I wish the conference a complete success!
