1、Manufacturer of bamboo flooring/Supplier of Wal-Mart 这个标题为什么好呢?前半部分告诉客户我是做什么产品的,后半部分告诉客户我是沃尔玛的供货商。因为我们公司原来和沃尔玛合作过,而能成为它的供货商条件还是很苛刻的。首先付款方式是O/A 90天,每3个月结一次帐,如果中间质量或交货期出了什么问题,货款就要扣下来或者打折了。其次沃尔玛的需求量是很高的,这就需要你的生产能力很强,同时保证质量和交货期符合要求。所以如果能成为沃尔玛的供货商,的确是公司的一大卖点。可以毫不犹豫的把它写到邮件标题里,吸引客户的注意。Supplier of Wal-Mart 这一句就可以顶十句话。我用4个字概括叫做名人效应?如果告诉大家我认识凤姐,大家是不是也对我刮目相看了。
有的朋友这时候可能会想,我没有沃尔玛这样的大客户那该怎么办?其实就算没有,也可以这样写。因为你的客户的客户有可能就是知名的大买家。你可以尝试去和你现有客户八卦一下,看看他们的下家客户中有没有大型买家。如果有的话,就可以这样写了。因为事实上,你的货物最终的确是到了大型买家的手上。
2、Re: Ecotimber/product catalogue /brief intro.这个标题后半部分没有什么特别神奇的地方,关键是开头有一个“Re:”。一般我们在回复别人的邮件后,系统自动会在原来邮件前面加一个“Re:”表示这是一封回复邮件。如果在给客人写的第一封信中,就加上了“Re:”会给对方造成一种错觉,以为是自己写了一封邮件,然后你回复他。十有八九客户会点来看一看。这招还是蛮管用的,但是要慎用,属于不得已而为之的方法。
3、John, are you ok with your * suppliers? 这个标题的杀伤力体现在指名道姓,平易近人。如果你知道你写信对象的姓名,那请你务必把它放到你的标题,正文中去。人多自己的名字总是很敏感。如果人群中有人叫你的名字,你会发现这个时候你的耳朵会特别尖。对于一个人最好的尊重就是首先要记得住他的名字。写邮件同样也如此。客户一眼扫过去,100个标题中,唯独你这一条中出现了他的名字,首先被点击的很可能就是你的邮件。
4、Stay Cool With Us–*** air conditioner supplier 这是一家卖空调的供应商,标题中Stay cool with us是一个英语的俗语,意思是和我们在一起可以无忧无虑。同时cool又让人联想到空调,所以是一语双关。这就是一种创意,和老外做生意光有精明的头脑的同时,如果能加上一点幽默感和创意。保证你可以脱颖而出。
5、Regarding mp3, Can you get your questions answered on the spot? 这个标题中,用了一个反问句,问客户你能立即解决你的问题吗?写信人的身份是一家外贸公司的业务员。外贸公司相对于工厂来说,显然具有一些劣势,但优势也是存在的。比如说提供的服务要更好,更灵活,更全面。从这个问句中就是这种优势的体现。
6、Is there a middle man draining your profit.Get rid of them, it’s information age.同样的,这个标题大家看的出来适合于哪一类的供应商吗?没错就是工厂。工厂的优势在于物廉价美,在于定制,在于直接。这个标题就是很好的体现。
7、Can you reach your supplier at 3 p.m.? 这是一个SOHO(SMALL OFFICE HOME OFFICE)外贸员写的一个标题,是一个反问句,反问客户凌晨3点你能找到你的供应商吗?因为国内外有时差,有的时候客户白天遇到问题,十万火急,但是我们这里越是深夜,无法及时沟通。但是SOHO就可以做到,因为他们的上班时间很灵活,这是他们的优势。用最直白简介的话把它表达出来,杀伤力非同一般。看了上面几个正例和反例,大家应该心里对什么是好的标题有点感觉了。归纳成3点就是:
1、简结,通俗,有名有姓。
2、秀出你的公司,产品或者个人的亮点。
3、避免人云亦云,通过新颖的措辞或创意吸引客户注意力,激发好奇心。良好的开端成功的一半,只有一个好的标题才能让客户继续阅读你的正文。就像在国际站的操作中,好的标题可以提高产品点击率。但是物极必反,如果做过了头就变成“标题党”了。要让一封开发信最终发挥作用,还是要看里面有没有真材实料。
今天先写到这里,在下一篇中我们就来探讨一下开发信正文的具体写法,如何最终一锤定音,抓住客户。
1)喜欢用奇奇怪怪的字体。很多人为了追求醒目,总喜欢用很夸张的字体,颜色,甚至放大,加粗,再用斜体等等,其实一眼看上去会让人很不舒服。经常跟老外写email的人会发现,客人很少会用奇怪的字体或者粗体,甚至全部大写来写邮件,除了少数的尼日利亚、非洲客人,我还真没遇到过别的。欧美人一般比较常用的字体就是以下几种:Arial,Verdana,Calibri,Times new roman,也有一些用Tahoma字体的,但相对少一点。一部分台湾和香港客人会用PMingLiU这种字体。至于颜色,一般都是黑色或者蓝色,别在一封邮件里出现多种奇奇挂怪的颜色,像彩虹一样,看着不舒服。
一般客人在邮件里特别加粗,或者大写,或者用红色标注的,肯定是特别强调的东西。比如有个客人的邮件如下: Dear C, Please help to send the samples to my HK office BEFORE THIS WEEKEND.Thanks.Rio 这就很明显了,客人用大写的目的是为了提醒并强调,必须要周末前寄出!可能这封邮件很简单,你不太容易忽视,但是如果一封很长的邮件,里面详细确认各种规格的时候,突然加了一句要你周末前寄样品,是很容易被忽略的。
2)主动语态用得太多。英文信函中,如果你仔细琢磨老外的行文方式,很少会充满We,I之类的人称的。相反要多用被动语态。
比如说,我们明天会寄你样品。中国人喜欢说We’ll send you the samples tomorrow.这句话没错,语法正确,意思清楚,但是老外就不喜欢这样说。他们通常会这样写:Samples will be sent to you tomorrow.用得是被动语态,人称就没有了。
3)经常会问一些毫无意义的话。比如Do you want our products?这句话被我列为最傻疑问句排行榜第一名。如果客人说No,你怎么回复?那就没下文了哦。而且本身你是去推销的,你希望客人感兴趣,你要引起客人的兴趣。但是这句话就大煞风景,等于一下子就把客人逼到了绝路上,一定要说是或者否。
还有诸如Do you interested in our products? Are you sourcing for *****? How is your business recently? Would you like to cooperate with us? 这些都是毫无意义的话。
开发信还是要直接一点,告诉客人你是谁,你做什么,你的优势在那里。只要清楚表述出这3点,就完全足够了。其他的东西可以以后慢慢谈。
4)喜欢用附件和图片。附件和图片并不是不好,但是第一次发开发信的时候如果有附件或者插入了图片,很容易被国外的服务器拦截的。很多人喜欢第一次联系客人的时候就使用报价单,或者打包很多产品图片,或者发电子样本给客人,这样的成功率并不高,不是被默认为垃圾邮件,就是直接被客人删了。只有一种情况除外,当你收到一个新客人的询价的时候,那你回复的时候,就可以插入报价单或者图片了。
第一次联系客人的时候最好全文本,不要出现任何的图片和附件。即使收到客人询价后第一次报价,如果不是客人指定,尽量避免用excel或word附件,最好是直接在邮件里写明。我一般会这样写: Item: Solar lantern with soft handle Model No.: HBC-294847/KT Description:„„„„„..(把详细的规格写清楚)Package: color box MOQ: 1,000pcs Pcs/ctn: 20pcs/ctn Ctn size: 50*40*60cm GW/NW: 20kg/18kg Q’ty/20′: „.pcs;Q’ty/40′: „pcs Loading port: Shenzhen Payment terms: T/T, L/C, D/P, etc.Valid time: 60 days FOB Shenzhen: USD2.39/pc CIF Valencia: USD2.45/pc 以上是我随便写的,只是想说明一点,报价单少用,尽量用文字描述清楚,然后在附件里添加一张500K以下的清楚图片就可以了。这样做的好处是,避免很多懒的客人不去点开附件的word或excel报价单。其次防止客人把你的报价单随便转给别人套价格。如果客人要你报很多款产品,没法全部在邮件里写清楚的时候,那就只能用word或excel做报价单了,但是最好在完成的时候用acrobat生成pdf格式,这样就不容易改。因为很多老外比较懒,你辛辛苦苦花了大半天时间做个完整的报价单给他,他只要删掉其中price这栏,就会把它转给别的供应商报价。
5)喜欢插入URL链接。很多朋友在写开发信的时候,总是会在内容里加上自己公司的网址,或者在签名的下面加上链接,这样做,同样有很大的概率被服务器拦截掉的!最好在客人回复后,第二次给他写邮件的时候插入这些就没问题了。6)语气过于生硬。其实邮件本身是比较死板的,在电脑面前阅读那些冰冷的字眼,和面对面的交谈或者电话沟通是完全不一样的。看一句话“Pls give me reply today.” 这句话如果面对面讲,客人不会觉得有什么问题,会很高兴说ok,或者no problem;如果电话里说,也不会有大问题;但如果放在邮件里,是不是略微生硬了一点点呢?如果改成”Could you please help to give me reply today?” 用的是疑问句,加上could, help这样的字眼显得十分委婉,但是又明确表达了你希望今天得到答复的准确意愿。这样不是更好么?
所以”please, help, kindly, could, thank you, appreciate”这样的话在邮件来往中是很普遍的。除非你和客人已经非常熟了,偶尔客套一下即可,平常就可以不需要了。所以在我看来,新手最容易犯的就是以上的几个错误,当然也不排除一些老业务员也有有1-2个问题。朋友们可以自己对照一下,看这10个错误中,有哪些是自己会经常犯的,或者是没有意识到的。如果某个朋友看了后发现自己一个问题都不会有,那恭喜您了,这篇帖子不适合您,但是也请您有空的话在这里多指点一下大家,让各位朋友也包括我多学习学习。这些只是我个人的一点点经验,自然希望大家的指正。

Polite(有理有节): Business is business。商 务场合下必要的礼节会为您赢得分数。”Your prompt reply is highly appreciated”听上去是不 是比”Please reply to me as soon as possible”更 贴心?另外,在书面信件中,尽量不要使用 pls,assp等非正式的缩写。
四要素助您写作有效的推广信 投其所好: 动笔之前,设身处地地为 对方着想。每句话都考虑迎合对方的需求(需要什么样的产品、服务)、愿望(是要 开拓新市场还是维护老客户)、好恶(投 其所好,避其所恶)和梦想。言简意赅: 不要过分追求华丽的句型。简单来说,推广信所用的语言,应该跟就 餐时的谈话一样通俗易懂。好处、利润、利益: 重点放在我们的 产品能为对方带来什么好处,而不是夸夸 其谈自己的产品和服务有多么优秀。举个 简单的例子:购买音响的人,不会关注这 部音响有多少根线(产品),他关心的是 音响的效果如何(好处)。所以在我们的 信函中,要着重告诉客户我们的产品能给 他带来什么好处,带来什么利润。
“拉关系”: 在信件中,注意多使用”You”。这样的称呼会让您在写信中不自觉地将邮件 当成与对方的对话,营造身临其境的感觉,对方读上去也更容易产生共鸣。
信函中(信、宣传册或邮件)的文字,都需要遵循简单的规则:首先,我们的信 件一定要能引起对方的注意,尤其是信件 的标题,一个好的标题能第一时间吸引对 方的注意;其次是要引起对方的兴趣。对 方有了兴趣,才会对我们的产品或服务产 生真正的需求。但是,如果对方不采取任 何行动,前面两点做的再好也没有意义。所以最后一点,在信函中,明确告知对方 要与我们建立联系,需要采取什么行动(回 信,索要产品图册或是索要样品等),激 发对方的回应(获得买家回复),为下一 步的议价提供可能。
推广信写好了,最后不要忘了检查邮 件的拼写错误。建议用word 检查,因为 邮件一般没有拼写检查功能。检查完毕,我们就可以把漂亮的邮件发送给买家了!
