先让大家了解一下我当年的英语水平⋯⋯当年为了达到有个学校托福录取线,频繁进入川大托福考场,考场那几位监考阿姨都认识我了⋯⋯对,如同电视连续剧一样,考了N多次,我永远差那一分,在第N+1次,估计是ETS怜悯,挣够了那没得到的一分。最近跟当时的录取官讲起,他说当时很担心我过来会不会因为语言就彻底跟不上进度⋯⋯
我现在说不上英文有多好,至少差不多能完全听得懂我老板,同事和我学生这老中青三代的笑话,经常也能回应一些他们很喜欢的笑话。没人会问我从哪里来了,没人会突然称赞我英语很好了。
好吧,不要废话了,开始无赖:
我从来就不是传统意义上勤奋的人,所以我从来没有那个勇气和毅力坚持做同样的事情很多很多很多遍,不管是听BBC VOA,还是看Friends或者其他美剧。对于一个吃上一顿的剩菜都觉得缺乏美感的人怎么可能认为无数遍的重复会让我体会到语言的美?至少我体会不到,所以我的策略是,跟人讲话,用实战来磨练我的水平。
所以,开始变成无赖吧,把你全身的老茧全部长到你的脸上吧,因为你需要一个炮击也伤不了你自尊心的铠甲一样的脸皮。当你由衷的散发出谦卑又无赖的味道时,我觉得你学习英语的心理建设就做好了。一下无赖的方法按简单程度排序,请从第一个开始尝试。
请不要一天24/7都跟华人混。学校里面总有对中国文化有兴趣的孩子,不管是哪里的孩子,英语说的比你好的孩子在这个时候就是好孩子。你都找到好孩子了,快点认识人家,快点用你蹩脚的英语跟人家说中国文化什么的啊。一种方法说不懂就换一种啊,再听不懂就继续换啊,千万不要never mind啊,不管怎么憋一定要把这个topic憋完啊。然后这个时候请注意,一旦别人不管听懂了你的意思给你重复一次,还是没有听懂继续瞎蒙你的意思,你一定要搞明白对方在说什么,然后牢牢记住他们的用词。多认识几个这样的好孩子,不要引起对方的疲劳,多请人家喝咖啡吃饭什么的拖住别人陪你唠嗑。在你了解了多了一点当地文化之后去多问这些特殊专有词是干嘛的,听不懂就要问,反正你的脸皮已经修炼成城墙倒拐那么厚了,反正以学英语为目的的无赖都不是耍流氓。
上课之前早一点去教室外面等着,多找几个同学聊一聊课程,课后问一问作业,顺便记几个电话号码,约大家一起出来学习。我以前就这么无耻的干过,第一学期的时候,约大家一起出来学pre-calculus(弱智弱爆了),其实就是我为了学英语,免费为大家讲题⋯⋯很受大家欢迎啊。大家永远不会一直乖乖学习的,两三道题之后就开始闲扯,一开始闲扯我就尖起耳朵专心听。好吧,我承认我这个人很八卦,听英语的同时确实听了很多八卦⋯⋯这个,回归主题,同学是很好的学习英语以及融入学生生活的渠道。
如果你跟我之前一样是在一个很小的学校,那我建议你在Office Hour去找教授,如果你听课还有问题,那你一定要去找教授。一般来说第一节课你就会知道上课听讲会不会有问题,鉴于我就是一个无赖(好吧,我承认了),不管有没有问题我都会跑到教授面前说,我英语不好,你可不可以讲慢一点啊,你可不可以让我录音啊,你可不可以⋯⋯我的教授人都多好的,一般来说我的无耻的要求总能得到无理的满足,然后好多教授还愿意给我特别设一个时间给我讲题什么的,我一般都无耻的去,虽然经常很多问题的答案都是知道的。找些看似跟课程有关系的问题去问教授,因为教授跟学生身份不一样,说话的方式有区别,多观察教授讲课的遣词造句,绝对有助于以后你自己做presentation。
学校一般都有Counseling Service,就是心理辅导中心之类的。我觉得大家可以合理利用这个机构。我们学校的健保费(不是医疗保险,是学校的收费)包括校医院的服务和心理辅导服务,我带了一堆药,而且没那么容易生部,所以如果不去心理辅导我觉得这个钱就白交了。不能这么亏是不是。所以我每周都去找我的counselor一个小时,完全就是用英语对着树洞讲心事,还不用担心别人会知道(签署了保密协议)。会不会用英语讲述你自己内心的故事?不会就练吧,这些counselor的工作就是听你说,不管你的英语再烂他们也必须认真耐心听你说完,一般来说人好的还会教你怎么用英语说比较好。
好多人平时讲话都没有问题,但是很怕打电话,我有一个练习电话英语的无赖方法,就是接听所有打进来不管是做调查的也好,推销的也好的电话。打电话的时候请保证听清楚每一句,然后用你的话再说一遍给TA听是不是这个意思。如果没有听清楚请一定问对方很多次,问到你明白为止。最糟糕的情况就只是对方实在是无奈给你解释不清楚然后就挂电话,不要气馁,因为总有下一个⋯⋯还有一个方法就是⋯⋯好吧,我真的发现我这个人蛮无耻的⋯⋯就是去骚扰各种客服。客服的工作就是听你讲电话,所以请随心所欲的打吧,而且各色口音俱全,真是居家旅行必备。如果你英语还没有好到掌控如此多色彩缤纷五光十色的口音还要办正经事的时候,请找个靠谱的孩子陪你一起打电话吧。不然我就只能wish you the best⋯⋯ 好吧还有最后一个,真的只有最后一个了,我知道我很唐僧,请再忍一忍。我有一段时间相当自闭的时候(我知道你们想象不到⋯⋯我自己都想像不到),除了consoler就不跟其他人讲话了,后来觉得不行了,这样人会崩溃的,然后我就一个人去餐厅吃饭,然后坐吧台的座位(请保证你18岁以上)。因为我是一个人,所以bartender必须跟我说话是吧,作为一个有修养的无赖我也必须正常的回应别人是吧。Fortunately,这也是对方工作的一部分,所以⋯⋯请多给小费吧⋯⋯

早就想提笔写写自己这些年出国读书的心路历程,可是又觉得不知何处说起,也不知道自己为何那时坚持要出国,是随大流眼看身边同学都出国自己也不甘落后?亦或是为了在家人亲戚面前展示自己飞得更远的能力?自己有时候也说不清楚其实。
直到有一天在帝都见到表姐夫,饭桌上他问我:出国留学你收获了什么?那一刻我的脑子懵了竟然无言以对,是啊,出国留学,我究竟学到了什么呢?这个问题我竟然从未仔细琢磨过,也许大多数出国留学的莘莘学子们也都没有真正想清楚自己为什么要出国,就像钱钟书先生的围城一样,很多人只是觉得在城内呆久了想到城外逛逛,出去后才发觉也不过如此,但是毕竟更大一部分人还没有资格发出“不过如此”这种感叹吧。
在我看来出国留学的全部意义并不在于拿个国外大学学历文凭,当然如果留学连个文凭都拿不到的话那就太对不起花花绿绿的人民的币以及流逝的宝贵时间啦,更重要的是磨练自己独立的人格、强大的内心与包容的心态。
刚到美帝时,我会不知觉地努力将自己夹带有大蒙古浓重口音的英语说得更美式份儿,而且语速莫名地加快以显示自己流利的程度,在与同学尤其是印度同学讨论问题时即使没有完全听懂对方说什么,自己也会频频点头假装很懂的样子,那时候自己的内心其实是自卑和胆怯的,身边的同学不是清华,就是北大,再不就是中科大的,谈论科研话题时,深怕一个来自草原姑娘的无知会被大家看穿。但有一点自己很清楚,那就是要全力以赴去努力以缩小这种差距。
美国有句谚语我特别钟爱:always behave like a duck, keep calm and unruffled on the surface, but paddle like the devil underneath.意思是:要像鸭子一样活着,镇定冷静的外表下,永远保持一颗努力奋斗的心。

入异国生活环境而陷入无聊境地,进而在阳光明媚的下午窝在宿舍热火朝天打游戏以打发光阴;有些留学生则忙忙碌碌地为着代购各种商品而奔波着;有些以游历的心态出国流连在各大城市美景品味美式快餐里;有些留学生披星戴月地穿梭于学校图书馆恨不得将该馆所有藏书资料都尽收心底,这些都是留学的写照。
每个人对待出国留学的定义不同,如果你对自己留学的意义没有特别清晰的定位,只是觉得在国内待久了无聊了亦或者是为了逃避就业的压力而选择出国,那么多年后的留学你仍旧要面临一无所有的从头开始,你所拥有的仅仅是一张文凭和一门他国外语,仅此而已,可是浪费的却是流逝的青春和不能计数的日月。
现如今,随着国内家庭的经济实力日渐富足,送子女走上出国路的人数呈指数增长态势,而留学生的年龄之小也不断刷新着纪录。总而言之,留学只是生命旅程的一段经历,并不能代表你将拥有成功的人生,也不能将一个东方人变成纯粹的西方人,更不能意味着出过国的你就能高高在上目空一切,留学本身的意义在于个体独立思维的培养,适应新环境和社交能力的提升,知识阅历的丰富与眼界的拓展,在国外求学或工作,自尊和自律是最为宝贵的品质,出国留学并不是保证你比他人过得更好的尚方宝剑。
倘若你打着出国的招牌在异国“混日子”,窝在宿舍打游戏虚度光阴,几年下来国内的朋友有车有房有好工作,而你除了一纸国外文凭并无他技,那出不出国都没什么卵用的。其实无论你出国或者不出国都是要保持一颗努力奋斗坚持不懈的心才对,毕竟你是怎样的,你身边的江湖就是怎样的;你是怎样的,你所到之处的遇见就是怎样的;你是怎样的,你人生就是怎样的。

第三篇:翻转课堂“翻转”了什么?如果你还不知道就快要下岗了!
两年,最热门的教育话题,非“微课”“翻转课堂”莫属。可汗学院、慕课等在线学习模式的兴起与发展,在给学校教育带来机遇和挑战的同时,也在促进学校教育者不断思考,如何借助新兴的信息技术成果,发展和创新师生的教学理念和学习理念,推进课堂过程中学习方式、教学方式的变革。
前不久,在成都市棕北教育集团第19届教育教学研讨会上,来自北京、深圳的专家,成都市区教育局、教科院以及兄弟学校的教育同行们共聚一堂,以“信息技术环境下学与教方式的变革——微课的研究与实践”为主题,探讨微课如何改变传统学教方式,以及发展微课过程中的得与失。
翻转课堂“翻转”了什么?
激发自主性 翻转学生角色
“让我们来看看同学们的网上任务完成得怎么样。”在成都市棕北中学西区实验学校,来自北京四中的陈静老师给初二学生上了一堂英语语法课。与传统课堂不同的是,课本不见了,老师与学生人手一个平板电脑,学生做题、老师答疑均以此为载体。
“完成任务作了反馈的学生,给你们加上一颗星。”检查完学生的课前作业,陈静以此鼓励学生积极提出问题。随后,陈静对学生提出的问题进行解答,对重难点进行讲解,要求学生完成相应的课堂练习,以检测学生学习的成效。由于学生学习程度的差异性,部分学生可以通过学习老师事先准备好的微课,及时回顾相关知识或概念。
“还有4个同学没有作答,抓紧时间。”陈静一边用手中的平板电脑查看学生答题情况,一边督促学生加快答题速度。教学平台对每道题的正确率作出客观的统计和分析,哪些学生做对了,哪些学生做错了,都有客观的结果反馈给老师。根据反馈情况,陈静分别请做出不同选择的学生回答,归纳共性问题,学生也可分组讨论。随后,陈静选用了几个卡通人物,给出单词,让学生运用这堂课学到的语法知识造句,学生之间、师生之间都进行了良好的互动与合作。
展示与评价、合作与探究、应用与拓展、总结与评价成为翻转课堂的主要方式。课堂上,由学生的问题贯穿始终,教师不再是讲台上的圣人,而是身边的导师,而学生则成为课堂的主角。
“在这堂课上,我们能充分感受到学生的主体性和教师的引导作用,学生在教师组织的各种活动中有探究、有合作、有汇报、有展示,均体现出了自主性和积极性。”北京四中教研院张雷老师说,新课标所倡导的教与学的理念在这堂课中有很好的落实和体现。
先学后教 翻转教学模式
传统教学模式是老师在课堂上讲课,布置作业,让学生回家练习。而在翻转课堂教学模式下,学生在家完成知识学习,课堂变成老师和学生之间、学生与学生之间互动的场所。
“在传统课堂上,学生获取知识的主要途径是在课堂,教师以讲授为主,内化知识主要在课后的习题,学生遇到问题没有很好的途径去解决。”张雷说,而翻转课堂恰恰相反,学生获取知识主要在课前,学生带着问题来上课,课堂上与老师和同学交流探讨,找到解决问题的方法和策略,将知识进一步内化和拓展,真正提高学生的学习能力。
“运用信息技术,在上课前,老师就可以了解学生的自主学习是否完成,完成效果怎样,共性是什么,个性化的问题是什么。然后根据学生的记录和反馈,进行二次备课。”张雷以陈静的英语课为例指出,通过课前学习,大多数学生对相应的语法规则已经掌握,这给老师节约出更多的时间去训练学生的运用能力,课堂效率更高。
翻转课堂,老师首先要制作5—10分钟的微课,设计要短小精悍、生动形象。相对于传统课堂要完成的众多教学内容,微课的内容更加精炼,能让学生更加精确地定位问题所在,也有助于提升学生学习的专注度。
“微课尝试是追求自主高效学习。”棕北中学校长丁世明表示,微课网络化、时空多元化、主题化、自主、灵活性强的特点,与课堂集体学习任务驱动、控制性强的特点相整合,形成互补性优势。目前,学校每位教师均普及了微课制作,个别教师利用班级QQ群和微信群,把自己制作的微课与学生家长共享。
原点是教学而非技术
研讨会上,参会者可以参观棕北中学老师制作的不同形式的微课案例。有老师认为,微课不仅是一种新的课堂表现形式,更是一种新的课程资源形态。但也有老师提出,翻转课堂、微课都是在追求一种新概念,很多展示课例一味追求录制视频在线共享,忽视课堂本身,变成另一种形式的孤立学习。
“常言道,我们既要埋头拉车,更要学会抬头看路。”丁世明认为,微课发展至今,很有必要回到原点。微课的原点是教学而非技术。如今,随着信息技术的普及,课件制作已不是难点,而广受中小学教师喜爱的录屏软件在操作性上也非常简单,且功能强大。另外,随着智能手机的普及,常规视频拍摄工具也进入寻常百姓家,这也为教师制作微课提供了帮助。
丁世明表示,制作微课的技术问题容易解决,现在急需关注的是微课的创新设计和教师在微课中展现的教学水平,这些才是微课最有价值、最具挑战的地方,也是微课最吸引学习者的地方。棕北教育集团的李琳老师也表示,面对技术的不断更新,与其拒绝,不如好好想想怎样更好地传承与适应,更好的发展与普及,最重要的还是回到课堂与教学本身。
在改变中反思,在反思中改进。丁世明说,微课改变了传统学教方式,以信息技术和协作化学习为支撑,为学生提供了个性化的学习环境,学生的个性化学习需求得到最大限度的满足,自主学习能力得到提升。“我相信,未来课堂因为技术与教育理念的变化定会更加丰富、多元。”

推荐信在西方国家是求职,求学的必备材料。
写推荐信的人必须对被推荐者有一定的了解。最好有较深的资历。如被推荐者的原单位领导,本专业的专家等,名声越大越好。

一、选择推荐人 推荐信是了解申请人的重要依据,在研究生课程中尤其如此。申请人可以选择现在或以前的老师、教授或雇主。推荐人必须熟悉学生的学习情况,了解学生的学习目的是否明确,在学术上是否有前途,以及学生的适应能力、创造能力、品行和特长。
书写推荐信的最理想的人选是一封由系主任写,一封由专业课教授写,一封由自己的导师写。不过,对方若无规定,则除了自己的亲属之外,任何人皆可为推荐人。推荐人一般应具备高级技术职称,如教授、副教授、研究员、副研究员等。如果推荐人在国内外学术界享有盛誉,或者被申请就读学校聘为客座教授,或者曾经在该校讲过学,那么这样的推荐人写的推荐信就具有很强的效力了。
二、推荐信的内容
推荐信一般应包括下列内容:
被推荐人的基本情况介绍。侧重于个人的毕业时间、学校、所获学位以及个人的专业经历。
推荐人对被推荐人的基本评价。侧重于被推荐人的专业基础、个性、特点、工作态度和在学术上的前途估计。若是推荐研究生,推荐人还需进一步说明其深造学习的基础和当前所具备的研究能力。显然,恰如其分地评价被推荐人的基础、能力和前途,比言过其实的赞誉更令人情服,更具有实际意义。
推荐人可以着重介绍被推荐人曾经获得的奖励,发表过的论文,参加过的重要学术会议,以及曾在学生组织或学术团体中的任职等来支持自己的评价。
推荐人还必须清楚地表明被推荐人留学的身份是研究生还是访问学者,专业领域和研究方向是什么。如果大学提供了现成的推荐表格,则必须按这类表格认真逐项填写。推荐表格中一般有学生综合评估的一项,即要求推荐人说明该生在所教的学生中应列为前5%,10%,或25%等。这种评估是指教授的个人评价,可以稍高一点。另外,推荐表格上常有许多难以填写的项目,遇到这种情形可填i dont know,亦不致对该生的评价有何严重影响。
