一、教材简析
本套教材的教学目的是激发学生学习英语的兴趣，使他们树立学习英语的自信心；培养学生语感，打下良好的语音、语调、书写基础，使他们具备用英语进行简单日常交流的能力；帮助学生养成良好的学习习惯，同时培养学生观察、记忆、思维、想象和创造力；适当介绍中西方文化，培养学生爱国主义精神，增强世界意识，为学生的进一步学习奠定良好的基础。
本套教材特点强调语言的运用，注重能力的培养，突出兴趣的激发，重视双向交流，融合学科内容，重视灵活扩展，实现整体设计，并且提供多媒体配套资料。
本册教材在一至四册的基础上调整了形式，增加了Let’s start部分，目的是用一种brainstorm的活动调动学生动脑思考的积极性。另外，还增加了听力练习Let’s try.加强对学生的听力练习。Let’s talk部分增加了可供替换的内容，目的是让学生通过所学的语言来交流。
五年级英语下册一共有八个单元，其中包括六个新授单元和两个复习单元。主要内容包括This is My Day,My Favourite Season,My Birtyday,What Are You Doing?Look at the Monkeys,A field Trip等六个话题，以及正点内容有16组会话和11个单句，听、说、认读81个单词和短语。

2.对话教学。在听力活动中感知新的语言（Let’s try），在理解语言的基础上学说语言。
3.阅读理解部分的教学。阅读对话或短文，可以pair work或者Group work.教师指导学生需注意事项。
4.语音训练。启发学生通过听录音和观察单词的结构来发现读音规律，鼓励他们找出更多学过的单词印证发音规律。在学生掌握了字母组合的发音规律后，鼓励学生尝试认读一些未曾学过但符合发音规律的新词。从而增加他们学习语言的成就感，培养其自主学习的能力。

2012-2013学下学期新铺镇中心小学五年级英语教学计划
一、学情分析
这学期继续接任五（1）班教学任务，五（1）共有学生人数59人，通过两年半的英语学习，大多数学生已能听懂有关熟悉话题的语段和简短的故事。能与教师或同学就熟悉的话题交换信息。能读懂短篇故事，但由于各种因素的影响，学生发展参差不齐。有少数学生因为基础不够好，学习很吃力而自暴自弃，有的因此扰乱课堂次序，这给教学带来不少困难。总的来说，这个班的大部分学生对于英语还是保持着比较高的热情，教学上还得因材施教。
二、教材分析
五年级下册学生用书Let’s learn部分的词汇仍然是围绕话题归类出现的。这样有利于学生记忆和开展话题的讨论。与五年级上册相同，本册Let’s learn中的大部分词汇要求学生做到听、说、读、写四会掌握（即加粗的单词）。用来巩固复习词汇的活动主要是结对和小组活动，以及Let’s find out等启发学生主动思考的活动。
五年级下册学生用书的Let’s start也是一项brainstorm式的活动，这一点与五年级上册相同。同上一册不同的是，本册的Let’s start部分既可以用来引入话题、引出新词，也可以引出新句型。另外，在这一部分基本上都安排了一个任务型活动，需要学生通过问答、思考或讨论来完成。
Let’s talk部分依旧是一个浓缩了的情景会话，目标句型突出。为给学生提供灵活运用语言的机会，这一部分提供了可供替换的内容。
Read and write部分的教学目标是：读懂对话或短文；完成检测学生理解程度的填充句子练习；听、说、读、写四会掌握两组句子；完成一项综合运用所学语言的任务型语言活动。Pronunciation部分，三年级上册、四年级上册学生用书中安排呈现了26个字母及例词，使学生初步了解到字母在单词中的发音，四年级下册学生用书进一步呈现了5个元音字母在单词中长短不同的发音，五年级上册学生用书编排了22个常见字母组合的发音，在此基础上，本册又安排了21个常见字母组合的发音，依旧是用绕口令的形式将含有这些字母组合的单词整合成趣味句子。
五年级下册学生用书的阶段复习密切围绕各单元话题展开，将所有需要复习的语言点融进有实际交际意义的活动之中，并增加了考察综合性阅读理解能力的语篇，以增进对语言知识的积累。
三、教学内容目标
1、能听、说、读、写81个短语和单词以及16组句子和11个单句。（包括日常活动、季节、生日、电话用语、动物和野营等几个话题）。要求能在真实语境中正确运用并能读懂简短语篇。
2、能听、说、认读21个单词。
3、能学会4个手工制作。
4、能听懂、会唱8首歌曲。
5、能听懂、会吟唱10首歌谣。
6、能完成6个自我评价活动。
7、能理解6个幽默小故事。
8、能了解6项简单的中西方文化知识。
四、教学重难点
1、学习一天中不同时间段学习和生活起居情况的表达，尤其是学会使用频度副词谈论日常生活；
2、问答最喜欢哪个季节并陈述原因；
3、学习12个月份的名称和序数词；
4、学习现在进行时，能够简单描述自己或他人正在做什么，询问他人正在做什么，询问动物正在做什么并作答；
5、学习现在进行时的一般疑问句式的用法。
五、教学措施
1、认真钻研教材和课标，精心备课，认真上好每一堂课。确定每堂课的基础内容，预备内容和拓展内容，满足不同层次学生的不同需求。
2、尽可能使用多种方式教学，激发学生的课堂兴趣。
3、及时与学生沟通，及时改进教学中存在的问题和不足
4、注重个别辅导，在面向全体学生的基础上，培优补差。
5、重视语音的训练，进一步复习巩固音标。
6、扎实训练四会句型，切实掌握语言材料。
7、在课堂上多开展一些有趣活动、游戏。让学生在活动中学习英语，在生活中学习英语
