——以课本剧表演为依托的小学英语课堂实践研究
【摘要】
英语课本剧,是教师依据英语教材,在研读教材、整合教材的基础上,充分挖掘教材中的活动因素,将课本改编成学生贴近日常生活、贴近时代要求的内容健康的英文剧本。即把教材内容编成一个个小短剧,有人物,有情节,通过表演,形象直观地演绎教材。
英语课本剧是以教材为范本,以交际主题为中心,活用教材的语言材料,以表演的方式,展开交际情境的形式。在整个课本剧活动过程中,小组成员是合作伙伴,教师是导演,学生是演员,教室是舞台。英语课本剧架起了一座链接“玩”与“学”的坚实桥梁。

【前言】
初涉教坛,听校内外公开课数十节,其教学风格各异,或严肃谨慎、波澜不惊、四平八稳;抑或风趣幽默、激情四射、新颖独特。前者教师不厌其烦地、自我陶醉式地细致讲解句型、语法,学生乖的像木头人一样认真地聆听!不得不佩服老师的讲述功底,结果导致学生课堂内没有足够的时间去操练强化知识点;后者教师几分钟略带讲解后,便设计各种有趣精彩的互动活动,学生热闹的像无头的蚂蚁一般尽情地玩耍着!也不得不欣赏老师的奇思妙想,其结果造成学生被新颖的活动形式所吸引,忘记了在活动中操练运用英语。前者只顾学,不顾玩;后者只顾玩,不顾学。两者教学效果、目标达成度均甚微。新教师容易走这两种教学极端,如何架起一座链接“玩”与“学”的有效桥梁,是我们广大一线小学英语教师需要潜心认真思考的问题。
教育专家们研究出的理论和方法有很多,涉及方方面面,高度概括,但不能因地制宜,因人而变,我们不能教条主义﹑生搬硬套,应当通过实践和检验,将 1
其理论和方法地方化和具体化。小学英语教学因小学生的年龄特征和心理认知特点有其特殊性,他们注意力不够持久,活泼好动,对新鲜事物有好奇心。为此,小学英语教学既不能满堂灌,也不能任其嬉戏,玩与学要比重适宜,应提倡玩中学, 如何在快乐的玩耍中不忘记学习?如何在精彩的活动中渗透着学习?
笔者立足本校英语教学现状和农村小学生的身心特点,有取舍地选择了切入点小﹑易于操作的英语课本剧作为行动突破口和实践途径,进行深度研究和广泛训练,在此基础上提炼出了适合我们当地实际学情的理论和方法。
英语课本剧,用英语来表演既是“玩”又是“学”,玩中演,演中学,“演” 是“玩” 与“学” 之间的有效链接与过度,“演” 是“玩” 与“学”之间的坚实桥梁,“演”使学生自由穿梭于“玩”与“学”之间,且不会迷失方向,既玩得快乐,也收获满满!一﹑英语课本剧的理论依据
根据教育心理学的研究,学生的遗忘曲线表明,单凭机械记忆的东西容易遗忘,眼、耳、口、脑、手并用,就会加深记忆痕迹,大脑皮层的兴奋点就能保持得更为长久,而英语课本剧正好符合这一规律。
英语课本剧与《英语课程标准(实验稿)》要求的英语教学要“面向全体学生,突出学生主体,采用活动途径,倡导体验参与 ”基本理念是一致的,新课程标准特别强调通过学生“能够用英语做事情”来体现学业成就感,倡导让学生在教师的指导下,通过感知、体验、实践、参与和合作等方式,实现任务的目标,感受成功。在学习过程中进行情感和策略调整,以形成积极的学习态度,促进语言实际运用能力的提高。二﹑英语课本剧的活动安排 1.时间安排。
一般情况下,课本剧可以在每一单元结束后,抽出课前或课后5-10分钟时间让学生就本单元相关主题进行自由表演。此外,每月可举行一至两次的集中表演。平时表演较好的小组可以在大型英语晚会等活动中进行创意表演。
2.组织形式
在组织形式上,最好在自愿组合的基础上将班内几十名同学根据能力、爱好、特长、英语水平分成若干小组。每组设组长一名,组织负责具体事物,如剧本的 2
改写、角色的分工、道具的运用等等。三﹑英语课本剧案例分析
课本剧形式完全符合人教版等英语教材的特点。课本中有大量的故事、对话,信息量大,牵涉面广,非常适宜改编成课本剧进行表演。笔者在教授PEP8 Unit1How tall are you?时,单元重点要求学生学会询问身高、年龄、体重、大小等,难点是这些形容词的比较级,如何突出重点,突破难点,单靠教师讲解语法,背诵课文,问几个问题,造几个句子,同学们似乎仍然难以消化,灵活运用。为此,我依据单元内容,整合了主要单词和重点句型,通过搜索,编纂了以“Mr.Giraffe and Miss Goat”为题的小剧本,长颈鹿个子高,能轻而易举地吃到了公园围墙外树上的嫩叶,而小山羊虽个子矮却能钻进围墙的小洞里吃园子里的嫩草,两人互相嘲讽,比高矮的优劣,争得面红耳赤之时,大象出面相劝,以一句“Every dog has its day.”纠正了两人的错误认识,他们互相道歉认错并彼此互换了食物,依旧是好朋友。(详见附页)
该剧本道具简单,操作方便,内容丰富有趣,具有启发性,词汇﹑句型均来源于课本,难度适中,学生演得绘声绘色,津津有味,教学重难点在同学们欢声笑语的表演当中不知不觉地被攻克了。四﹑表演英语课本剧的意义
第一,小学英语是入门教学,激发学生学习英语的兴趣是首位的。小学生活泼好动,他们喜欢表演,爱看表演,课本剧把教材内容以戏剧的形式表现出来,学生爱看、爱学、爱演,能够激发学习英语的动机,使学生从羞于开口逐渐转变为敢于开口﹑乐于开口。
第二,语言的最大功能在于交际,学习英语的最终目的不是取得高分,而是会使用这种语言,具备良好的交际能力。教师应当创设各种模拟的或真实的语言情景,让学生在情景里练习各种交际活动。课本剧表演是训练学生运用英语进行交际的良好方式之一,使学生在表演英语中学会使用英语,在交际中掌握语言。
第三,教材的单元内容往往只有简单的几句,以此为线索,学生在老师的帮助下,利用教材等课内外资源,自由发挥想象力、创造力,编辑一个较完整的课本剧剧本,能够充分挖掘学生的创造力,增强写作创作能力,加强对课本知识的理解和运用,提高学生的英语阅读水平,积累口语交际所需的词汇量和句型等语 3
言素材。
第四,在排演英语课本剧的过程中,学生无论成绩好坏,都可以找到适合自己的角色,在活动中互相切磋,互相帮助,取长补短,从而增强了学习的自信心,提高了表达能力、表演能力、合作能力和调控能力等综合素质。
第五,编排英语课本剧对授课教师也是一个全新的挑战,以此提高英语教师的专业知识和教研能力,积累教学资源和校本英语课程,受益的不仅是学生,也有老师和学校,达到教学相长的目的。【结束语】
新课改,新课标,新教材,就如同一双新鞋,我们不能穿着新鞋,走着老的套路,应当穿新鞋,走新路,改变传统观念,敢于寓教于乐,敢于让学生玩中演,演中学,敢于突破教材,创造性地有效使用和处理教材。
改编后的课本剧,可以应用到生活实际中,达到学以致用的目的,同时也完成了教学任务。通过在英语教学中采用课本剧表演的实践,能够创造出轻松愉快的学习气氛,生动直观的语言情景,学生学习积极主动,易于合作,师生关系融洽、和谐,人际交往能力,合作意识大大增强,学生的创造力、听说能力大大提高,并且在活动中建立健康、自信的人格,从而达到综合运用语言的目的。

课本剧本身具有形象直观、贴近生活、喜闻乐见等多种特征,在小学英语教学中采取课本剧的模式,是符合小学生的心理和生理特点的。课本剧以轻松愉悦语言环境为背景,以特定的主题为框架,通过生动形象的语言和动作,向学生呈现知识的同时,又能充分的锻炼学生自信心、创造力和表现力,塑造他们乐观、合作、积极向上的人格。本文旨在探讨小学英语课本剧教学模式的优势及执行过程中需要注意的问题。

义务阶段英语课程的目的是:激发学生学习英语的兴趣,培养他们的英语学习的积极态度,是他们建立初步的学习英语的自信心,培养一定的语感和良好的语音、语调基础,使他们形成初步用英语进行简单的日常交流的能力,为进一步的学习打下基础。结合《标准》的要求,笔者提出了在小学英语教学中进行课本剧模式的研究。诚然,课本剧模式应用于英语教学已不是被首次提出。笔者认为,所谓英语课本剧,即英语学习者,在英语教师的指导下,以教室为剧场,以课本剧表演为依托,围绕课文内容,形成主题鲜明、重点突出、言行风趣的表演的教学模式。把课本剧表演在英语学科教学中推广开来,定能收到不同凡响的结果。
一、英语课本剧表演模式在小学生英语课堂推广的可行性 1.《标准》为英语课本剧模式教学提供了充分的理论基础。新《标准》要求英语课程要面向全体学生,注重素质教育,其中特别强调英语兴趣课的开设和利用,以此更好地激发学生学习英语的兴趣,帮助他们建立学习的成就感和自信心,使他们在学习过程中发展综合语言运用能力,提高人文素质,增强实践能力,培养创新精神。英语课本剧从主题设和语境设定,剧本编排,演员的表演等多个方面都能激发学生的想象力和兴趣,启迪学生的智慧和发散思维的能力。
2.小学生的心理和生理特点课本剧模式教学提供了充分的实践基础。
小学生的生理和生理特点决定了其学习知识的内在逻辑性。因此这一阶段他们主要还是依靠“眼观”、“耳听”和行为训练的方式学习的。心理学的研究也表明:小学生的思维在很大程度上还主要是依靠直观的、具体的内容。长期的教学实践证明,越是教学手段丰富,课堂活动灵活多样,学生的积极性就越高,学习的效果也就最明显,记忆的效果也最好。因此老师们进行教学设计时,要从保护学生的学习兴趣、自尊心、自信心、想象力和创造力出发,激发集体荣誉感来带动学校效率的提高。
“兴趣是最好的老师”,是开启知识宝库的钥匙,“哪里没有兴趣,哪里就没有记忆”,“未见意趣,乐不必学”„„课本剧的参与者(主要指演员)是英语学习者(小学生)和教授者(英语学科教师),他们年龄主要集中于8-11岁。该年龄段的学生处于活泼好动,模仿力高,表演欲强的时期。将所学的知识以课本剧的形式呈现出来,符合他们年龄结构和心理特点,学生们也易于理解和接受。有了如此充分的实践空间,课本剧才有可能在小学英语学习者中有效的开展。
3.课本剧的内在属性为其在小学英语教学领域的生存提供了有效保证。
课本剧就其自身而言,从编排、组织到演出,都具有理论基础深、创造空间广实践性高、针对性强、操作灵活、易于评价等特点。而英语作为一门语言,从其语音、语调和书写上都会让学生充满好奇心和模仿心理。将课本剧的直观性和英语的“神秘性”结合起来,让学生在轻松愉悦的语境里学习好知识,并顺势表达出来是一种高效率、充满智慧的教与学的方法。任何一种事物只有找到了允许其生长的空间,才能尽情的施展其“才华”,将学习搞得有声有色,淋漓尽致!
二、英语课本剧教学模式对角色转变的要求
1、教师角色“导演化”和学生角色“演员化”的转变 课本剧单从剧本人物的角度来看,少不了导演和演员,而英语课本剧中的导演和演员自然而然就是英语教师和学生了。
任何一个好的剧本都少不了一个好的导演。在课本剧模式里,教师“传道授业”的角色以“导演’身份体现出来。在任何一个课本剧表演之前都要汇聚多方的力量,英语老师则要发挥其领导作用,设定课本剧的主题、规范表演的语境和表演的主要内容,然后“演员们”才能自由的发挥和创造。期间老师应该避免犯了“统一化”和“格式化”的错误,要充分尊重学生在主题规定的范围内创造性思维的能力,体现以生为本的教育教学理念和素质教育的,充分挖掘学生的潜力。必要的时候老师可以参与进来课本剧的表演过程,与学生打成一片,缩小距离感,让每一位学生乐在其中,学在其中。
演员是直接面向观众,将成果呈现给观众的人,所以在演员的安排上要充分的体现公平合理和全民参与性。每一个孩子都有优点,要争取全体同学的意见,让每个同学都能发挥能力,展现自我,实现超越。这就需要老师在教学构成中善于观察、分析、引导和鼓励学生了。老师把课本剧的主题告诉学生小组,小组根据自己写的课本剧进行排练。能力好的同学既要当导演,还要当演员,这是对学生能力的一个全方位的锻炼。在排练期间,每一个成员都要用英语来说台词,而且做到语言流利、准确。这样以来每个学生的英语口语能在真实的语言环境中得到运用、实践。同时学生们还根据本组的需要,自做一些简易、直观的道具,这也能很大程度的提高学生的动手操作能力,空间想象能力,创新能力。
2、语言知识与课本剧之间的均衡性把握-评委角色的转变 课本剧之所以被称为课本剧,是因为它是围绕课本开展的,是以课本内容为活动中心,以课文语境为主线的。它作为一种学生们喜闻乐见的学习模式,在深入学生们喜爱的同时,也会不自觉的走进一个误区---为了表演而表演。小学生的表演欲和争强好胜的心理固然能促使课本剧活动迅速的在课堂中开展,但是时间一长,他们就会产生为了表演而表演的心理,而忽视了对语言知识的掌握。小学生的自制力毕竟是有限的,这就需要老师把握住这个平衡点。那么如何才能把握这个平衡点,一举两得-玩好、学好呢?笔者认为这需要有一个好的评价体系。每一个课本剧的表演都要有语言上的要求,形成可供参考的标准。此外,这样的评价体系需要老师和学生的共同参与,在操作该评价体系的过程中,要充分尊重学生的意见,形成生生互评、师生参评的评价模式。这也就是说教师和学生在扮演好“导演”和“演员”角色的同时,还要承担起“评委”的角色。
三、英语课本剧模式操作需要注意的几点问题 1.教师个人理论素养
课本剧作为一种较为新颖的教学模式,对教师的专业素质提出了更为高的要求。教师做为课本剧模式操作的领导者,除了具有更高的“传道授业解惑”本领以外,还要有较高的理论素质,只有这样才能将理论用于实践。因此,英语教师要积极学习先进的教育教学理论和教育教学管理理论,研读相关的理论研究成果,分析学生实际,提高个人的专业素质。2.尊重创造、张扬个性
《标准》指出小学英语课程的基本理念之二是:英语课程要面向全体学生,注重素质教育。激发他们学习英语的兴趣,帮助他们建立学习的成就感和自信心,使他们在学习过程中发展综合语言运用能力,提高人文素养,增强实践能力,培养创新精神。英语课程在目标设定、教学过程、课程评价和教学资源的开发等方面都突出以学生为主体的思想。课程实施应成为学生在教师指导下构建知识、提高技能、磨砺意志、活跃思维、展现个性、发展心智和拓展视野的过程。
课本剧从编写剧本、编排剧情到剧本表演的过程是学生全线参与的,“仁者见仁,智者见智”的情况肯定是不足为奇的。对于学生提出的不同的观点老师要用宽容的心理听取,适当的时候要接纳他们。通过此过程学生会产生一种被尊重的心理,这种心理更能激发他们的创造,挖掘他们的个性,使课本剧的达到更好的效果。3.学生的层次划分
课本剧不仅对老师提出了新的要求,对学生也提出了更高的要求。毕竟小学生的自我调控能力是有限的,课本剧的开展也不可能起到一蹴而就的效果。一开始可以有目的性和示范性的开展活动,以层次相对较高的学生做示范、当榜样。由个人到小组,由高层次到低层次,最后形成全班都参与的课本剧的氛围。这就需要教师有利的分析学生和学情,分层次,分级别,合理搭配小组成员。当然,这种层次性分配也要在公平、合理、合作、全员的原则指导下展开。只有这些基础性的工作在遵循教育教学规律的指导下,才能保证课本剧实施的有效性。4.有效性评价
课本剧作为一种灵活的教与学的方式,重在使学生掌握知识,而非争取高低,但是对学生的表现有较合理的评价还是很有必要的,只有这样才能真正的发挥评价的有效性和激励作用。从教学实践中,笔者总会遇到由于评价不公引起的矛盾。事实上,任何一个评价都应该综合客观和主观的因素。客观因素体现客观性,平等性;主观因素则能起到自我反思的作用。因此,笔者认为课本剧课堂应该采取生生互评、学生自评和教师评价体系相结合的评价方式。这样有了一个好的开始,再有一个好的评价结尾,有始有终,才能把课本剧的表演搞得完美有成效。总结
英语课本剧引入教学是一种相对新颖的教学模式,它能够激发学生的学习热情,保持学习兴趣,挖掘创造力和想象力,培养合作、互助的意识,锻炼自信、形成灵活、乐观开朗乐观的性格,满足学生情感的需求。相信课本剧表演对学生的的综合素质和实践能力的训练定能影响学生一生,为他们今后的学习打下坚实的基础。参考文献

狐狸大摇大摆地走在前面,后面有两个小喽罗在敲背。一个小喽罗敲得重了。狐狸把手一挥。Go!Go!Go!将其赶走。
狐狸走在台中,大笑起来:Ah ha ha ha ha!Ah ha ha ha ha!
期间,夹杂着老虎的哭声。
龟 兔 赛 跑
编情境如下:兔子在路上兴高采烈而目无旁人地飞跑(夸张地),踢翻了路中慢爬的乌龟。兔子嘲笑乌龟腿短脚慢,根本没有资格上路,自吹自己速度无人能比,于是二人打赌比赛。途中兔子洋洋得意,自信打盹也能赢,而乌龟咬牙坚持,最终取得胜利!

两人一起一前一后地跑几圈,距离越拉越大。(乌龟爬跑时四腿舒展、夸张而缓慢,左前脚向前一划的同时右后脚向后一曲抬,反之亦然)H:(回头看,连摇头)How slow he is!(他好慢啊!)(打哈欠)I’m a little tired.(我有点困了)I want to have a nap.(想打下瞌睡)But I’ll still win.(但是我照样要赢)兔子倚物(树)而睡了(作鼾声)。
