美国驻香港总领馆的中文微博网站，经常会有一些中英文翻译技巧的讨论，十分受网友欢迎，互动很热烈。对我们这些生活在美国的人来说，也有不少启发。以我自己为例，每天与人打交道，说的最多、听到的最多的就是“谢谢”以及“不谢”、“不必客气”等日常用语。英语说“谢谢”很简单，相信即使不懂英语的人也知道，就是“Thank you”，如果说得再客气一点，就是“Thank you very much”（非常感谢）。在美国，也有许多人不说“Thank you”，而说“Thanks”，客气一点的说“Many thanks”或“Thanks a lot”，即非常感谢。记得我们过去学英语，教科书上是不教“Thanks”、“Many thanks”这些比较口语化的词汇的，因此我刚到美国的时候，听到人们说“Thanks”，总觉得不习惯，直到今天，心里还觉得“Thanks”不及“Thank you”正规。

名词所有格的形式和用法
（1）名词所有格一般是词尾加′s构成，如：the boy’s bag；our teacher’s room等。如果原词已经有复数词尾-s，则仅仅加一个（′）即可，如boys′ school等。词尾无s的复数名词则仍要加′s，如：men’s clothes等。
