1、I'm so fed up with your BS。Cut the crap。

2、Hey!wise up!

Wise up,please。

3、Put up or shut up。

Put up or shut up要注意的是Put up字典上是查不到“自己去做”的意思,但是见怪不怪,很多笔记本上的用法都是字典上查不到的。 Put up or shut up。 The house on the haunted hill女主角身陷鬼屋之中,其它人又七嘴八舌时,她就很生气地说了一句shut the fack up。

这句话也让我想到一句成语walk the walk,talk the talk也就是说到就要作到,有点像是中文里知行要合一的意思,或是只说walk the talk也可以。

4、You eat with that mouth?

You kiss yourMomma with that mouth就是说你也是用这脏嘴亲你妈妈的吗? You eat with that mouth就扯平了。

5、You are dead meat。

6、Don't you dare!How dare you!

Dare在英文里还有许多有趣的用法,例如You dareme或是I double dare you还有一种游戏叫Truth or Dare。

7、Don't push me around。

You are so bossy。I don't like that。

Don't push me any further还有一句根push有关的成语,叫push the button意思就是,指使操纵。例如I know why you are doing this, someone is pushing your button!

8、Are you raised in the barn?

No backyard language in my house就是说,在我的家里不准讲粗话。

9、You want to step outside? You want to take this outside?

Do you want to pick a fight。

10、You and what army?You and who else?

Do you want to step outside就回他这一句吧。 Who's side are you on这就是在快要打架时,你问人家说,你到底是站在哪一边的?

study hard and move forward every day 好好学习,天天向上Mao Zedong wrote to honor an 8-year-old boy, Chen Yongkang, who helped police catch a spy in Suzhou, in 1951.Mao asked all kids to study hard to do a better job for the country.Banners with this slogan could be seen in almost every classroom。

This allowed people to get certain food supplies under the planned economy.Low agricultural production meant insufficient food supplies and a quota system and the coupons were a means of distribution. The quota system lasted to the early 90s.The tickets are now the stuff of collectors。

quotations from Chairman Mao

Practically everyone has heard of the Little Red Book. This collection of quotations from Mao Zedong's speeches and writings was published from 1964 until about 1976.People had to remember lines and use them to guide their thoughts. The title Little Red Book was coined by Westerners because of the red cover and pocket-book size.

Red Guard

Basically middle-school and college students during the “Cultural Revolution” that Chairman Mao allowed to act as revolutionaries. In primary schools, Little Red Guards replaced the Young Pioneers. The “Gang of Four” used Red Guards to challenge authority. They were a key cause of social disorder, but their reign君主统治时期 ended in 1978.

From the mid-1960s to the late-1970s, about 17 million urban middle school grads answered Mao's call and flocked to the countryside. They were encouraged to pay respect to and learn from the peasants.By 1979, most educated youth were heading back to the cities but they had a hard time adapting to the changed world.60年代中期到70年代末,约1700万城市中学毕业生响应毛主席的号召来到农村。

Literally, “entering through the back door”.It originated under the planned economy when people used connections to get goods from the back door of a state-owned shop. This string-pulling reached a sort of climax in the late 1970s when the “educated youth” tried everything possible to get back to the cities.“走后门”可直译为“entering through the back door”。

A secure, lifetime job assigned by the government.Where was no fear of losing the job.By the 1980s, with the new market economy, there was a competitive model of employment. And the cherished iron rice bowl was gone after more than 30 years.“铁饭碗”指由政府提供的有保证的终生制工作。

all-round good student 三好学生 Literally, “thrice-good”, given to students who were virtuous, talented, and good at P.E.;first used in the 1950s by Mao to encourage young people to keep fit, study well, and work hard.“三好学生”直译为“thrice-good”,指在德、智、体三方面都很优秀的学生。

For the market economy, a dual-pricing system was tried in 1979.The price of certain goods was fixed and they were distributed instead of sold.If a factory exceeded its quota, it could sell the surplus at a higher price.People close to government or factory officials got the low-priced goods and sold them at a higher price. This profiteering was outlawed in 1987.

youth waiting for job The unemployed young people of the 1980s, after the government stopped assigning jobs to middle school grads, at State-owned enterprises or government offices. Some unemployed youth could “inherit” a post from a retired parent.

I am looking forward to hearing from you. I am looked forward to hear from you.

Write an essay of 160-200 words based on the following drawing. In your essay, you should

1)describe the drawing briefly,2)explain its intended meaning, and then

3)give your comments. You should write neatly on ANSHWER SHEET 2.(20 points)

What an interesting picture it is!

As is vividly depicted in the photo, a hot pot is boiling a lot of different things with much hot steam gushing, which successfully captures our eyes. After a close watch, it is not difficult to find that many kinds of culture have been mixed in the same small hot pot, symbolizing the exchange of many different kinds of culture from all over the world.

Apparently, what the drawing has subtly conveyed deserves a further analysis.

Theoretically, the phenomenon presented by the drawing brings us both advantages and disadvantages. As for my part, the former outweighs its latter. On the top of list is that the same earth village could bring us much more commerce opportunities, which help the whole development of the world. In addition, there is the other point that no one can ignore. It is no doubt that more friendly cooperation from different countries may promote the development of diplomatic relations between countries. No other case can better illustrate the phenomenon than the picture above.其实,第一句就是“主谓宾”的结构,后面的原因句子,“On the top of list is that...” “In addition, there is the other point that...”这样的句式其实就是就是“There be +that从句”。

According to the analysis above, it is advisable for us to take steps to maximize its positive effects and minimize the disadvantages.Of all the steps, mass media tends to function essentially in the job.Only in this way can we make the best of the value of global communication between mass kinds of culture.

In the year 3131, the goats live in the Qingqing Grasslands happily, while “Grey Wolf” and his wife “Red Wolf” move to Qingqing Grasslands to try and capture them.

But goats in this time are intelligent and powered with technology.Every time Grey Wolf appears at the School of Goats, he thinks up a sneaky plan to catch the goats.

Among the goat students, a smart young boy goat named “Pleasant” always finds a way to ruin “Grey Wolf's” plans and save the goats.

With the effort of “Pleasant” and his friends, Grey Wolf never captures any goats. In the end of each episode, “Grey Wolf” always promises to come back.

The conflict between Grey Wolf and “Pleasant” never ends.Although he is mean to the goats, he is a nice and timid husband to Red Wolf.Red Wolf is somewhat impatient and enjoys making her husband do all the work. She never tries to catch the goats herself, but always yells at her husband, and hits Gray Wolf with a frying pan in almost every

episode whenever she's unhappy. She likes fashion and behaves like a modern female adult(though sometime her thoughts are a bit childish).

“Pleasant” and his friends are portrayed as playful primary school kids, each of whom has his/her own unique feature.

“Beauty” is a pretty girl goat who is always worrying about her looks and esteem.“Fit” is a boy goat who likes to work out;he is in love with “Beauty”.“Lazy” is a cute boy goat who likes to relax. There are ma

ny other child goats, as well as their teacher-an old goat named “Slow”, who is a scientist and develops machines to protect their school. He is slower than a snail and uses a walking stick.
