这些工作成效可以吸引阅读者的注意力,同时还能突出个人职业生涯中的最大成就。这些成绩可以有效证明你的“价值”所在,因此应该是你简历的核心。但是很多求职者在这方面做得并不好,他们的简历中全是职务名称、日期和职责等方面的内容。一些管理者认为,他们看到的75%的简历未包括任何一项数量化的成果。据我们分析,这大概有两个方面的原因:一方面是求职者还没有意识到量化简历的重要性;另一方面求职者不知该如何量化自己的简历。
应聘那些热门职位的求职者尤其应该注意量化简历。对于某些热门职位,可能有几十甚至上百个人同时竞争,量化简历是让你脱颖而出的好方法。一位国内知名IT公司的管理者曾说,我每天用一个小时浏览100余份简历,如果前15秒钟中未能发现任何可以说服我继续读下去的成果表述,那么这份简历就将成为历史了。
每一个求职者都曾取得过或大或小的成就,但是这些成就需要被呈现在管理者的面前,无论他们是想求职、还是想要升迁或者加薪。管理者往往认为,那些能够令人信服地展现过去成就的应聘者将来仍有可能续写往日佳绩,因此可降低他们聘用选择的失误率。
所以将你所取得的成就在你的简历中活灵活现地展示出来并加以证实是非常关键的。你的竞争者的成就或许比你更辉煌,但他们若不能有效地予以表述,那么他们的成就对管理者而言就没有丝毫的影响力,从而令你获得很大优势。
经常碰到的问题是“如何弥补我学历低、经验不足的劣势”。可以告诉大家,善于把握和利用成绩的人可以弥补经验与教育方面的不足。
如何量化你的简历呢?“SMART”方案是可行之策。
那么什么是“SMART”方案呢?“SMART”方案由下列要素组成:成绩应当是具体(Specific)、可测量(Measurable)、行动导向(Action-oriented)、现实的(Realistic)和时效性(Time-based)的。经验证明,如果一项成就描述包括上述各要素,那么它就会产生影响。
量化工作业绩时,首先要列出你在所从事的每项工作中所取得的一项或多项成就,然后对你的工作成果进行简要描述。雇主们寻觅的是能够提高利润、降低成本和解决问题的人选。百分比或金额数据等具体信息能令你以往取得的成绩变得更真实、更能打动人。
比较如下两种表述方式:
“实行新的销售计划,使销售额在一年之内快速增长。”
“自98年9月开始实行新的销售计划,在广告预算只有200万元的情况下,一年之内使销售额由500万元快速增长至2700万元。”
第二句中的详细数字会令管理者对你的工作成果有更加深刻的印象。
当你没有具体的数据时,你需要通过估算来得到百分比或金额数据。如果拥有电脑单据或公司文件来证明你的声明是再好不过的,但你很可能缺乏此类材料。某些情况下你只能在自荐信中加以解释,描述自己的成就和实现过程以期引起人们的注意。
即使无法以金额、数字或百分比表示的成就也能产生效果。以下陈述均有可能打动潜在的雇主:“通过技术创新降低了次品率”;“提前将产品推向目标市场”。或者在你对数据没有把握的时候,试着采用“显著地”、“极大地”等词语。例如,“开发新的生产技术,使次品显著减少”,“与客户建立密切联系,从而极大地提高了客户忠诚度”等。
成果很有说服力,因此如果你的成就促成了某件重大的事情向积极的方向发展,那么你就应该在你的简历中提及。训练自己挖掘重要成果的能力。如果你在这方面存在问题,可以试试一种简单的技巧:写简历前先将自己目前或最近的工作岗位所涉及的任务、职责领域和计划列出来,然后针对过去的每项工作重复这种训练。不必在意文字的精彩,重要的是回忆并正确表述你的经历。
列出每项任务与计划后,再来填入具体内容或由此产生的成果。
填空方法迫使你为自己的行为与成就赋予合乎逻辑的结果。继续这一过程,直到找出每项有价值的功绩。在有多项值得谈及的业绩时,许多人往往发现其一就止步了。应该首先将它们全部列出来,然后再决定简历中的取舍。
量化成绩时,决定使用原始数据还是百分比将产生至关重要的影响。例如,一位地区销售主管可以说,“三年内销售额从450万元上升至720万美元”,或者“一年内使销售额提高了60%”。两种都是一种表述问题的方法,有时可同时选用,有时需要根据管理者的需要选择最合适的表述方式。的确,有些朋友的工作量化起来比较困难,但是你如果做到了,你会取得意想不到的惊喜。你可以做如下尝试,在你尝试量化某项工作前,查找以前的记录并且拟订改进的方向和目标,然后做持续的跟踪记录。假如本企业的员工流动率较高,而你打算降低它,可以查询过去的记录,看看近几年的员工流动率。随后推行你的新办法,并全程追踪数率的变化。随着它的不断下降,它不但可以为你的升迁和加薪提供依据,而且是你简历中可以证明你个人成就的实际数据

一、用数字和例子说话

你会更认可哪种呢?答案是不言而喻的。有求职者可能会问,这个数字难道就不会是捏造的吗?当然有可能,但简历是你的第一关,必须先声夺人。有报道曾经说,绝大多数HR都认为,那些能够提供以往业绩确凿数据的求职者在以后的工作中仍然会有上佳表现,雇用这些人风险最低。既然这是HR的想法,我们何不努力尝试呢?
二、巧用百分比
数字没有多大说服力的时候要学会换个花样来表达,比如用百分比表示。例如,你实习期间将品牌的市场占有率由7%升至7.9%,这个数字可能并不算好看,但是可以这么写——市场占有率提升12.9%,这样就好多了。
其实这也体现了一个求职者灵活处事的能力,而并不是教大家偷换概念去欺骗HR。此外,对于那些无法用确切数字表示的成就可以通过你所带来的积极的改变而定性说明。例如:曾开发过一套新的生产总量控制系统,解决了重复支出的问题。
三、强调过程和经验
描述经历时要强调成功经验,具体采用了什么方法、带来了何种创新、总结出了什么样的成功经验。其实用人单位也会关注你从过往经历中学到的知识、经验以及为人处世之道,以此大致推断你是不是一个善于学习与总结的人,这也能够加强用人单位对你的印象。
