书信历史悠久,其格式也几经变化天,按通行的习惯书信格式主要包括五个部分:称呼、正文、结尾、署名和日期。1.称呼
称呼,也称“起首语”,是对收信人的称呼。称呼要在第一行顶格写起,后加“:”。称呼和署名要对应,明确自己和收信人的关系。
(1)给长辈的信,若是近亲,就只写称谓,不写名字。
(2)给平辈的信,可直接用对方的名字、爱称,加修饰语或直接用修饰语。
(3)给晚辈的信。一般直接写名字,也可在名字后加上辈分称谓,亦可直接用称谓作称呼。
(4)给师长的信。通常只写其姓或其名,再加“老师”二字;对于十分熟悉的师长,也可单称“老师”“师父”
(5)给一个单位或几个人的信,又不指定姓名的,可写“同志们”“诸位先生”“××等同志”等。
如果信是同时写给两个人的,两个称呼应上下并排在一起,也可一前一后,尊长者在前。2.正文
正文通常以问候语开头。问候是一种文明礼貌行为,也是对收信人的一种礼节,体现写信人对收信人的关心。问候语最常见的是“您好”“近好”,依时令、节气不同,也常有所变化,如“新年好”“春节愉快”。问候语写在称呼的下一行,前面空两格,常自成一段。
问候语之后,常有几句起始语。如“久未见面,别来无恙”“近来切可好”久未通信,甚念”之类。问候语要注意简洁、得体。
接下来便是正文的主要部分主体文,即写信人要说的话。它可以是禀启、复答、劝谕、抒怀、辞谢、致贺、请托、慰唁,也可以是叙情说理、辩驳论证等。这一部分,动笔之前,就应该成竹在胸,明白写信的主旨,做到有条有理、层次分明。若是信中同时要谈几件事,更要注意主次分明,有头有尾,详略得当,最好是一件事一段落,不要混为一谈。3.结尾
正文写完后,要写上表示敬意、祝愿或勉励的话,作为书信的结尾。习惯上,它被称作“祝颂语”或“致敬语”,这是对收信人的一种礼貌。祝愿的话可因人、因具体情况选用适当的词,不要乱用。
结尾的习惯写法有两种:
(1)在正文写完之后,紧接着写“此致”,转一行顶格或空两格写“敬礼”。
(2)不写“此致”,只是另起一行空两格写“敬礼”“安好”“健康”“平安”等词,一定要另起一行空两格,不得尾缀在正文之后;也可以在正文结尾下另起一行空两格写“祝你”“敬祝”,再另起行顶格写上“安好”“健康”等。4.署名和日期"
在书信最后一行,署上写信人的姓名。署名应写在正文结尾后的右方空半行的地方。如果是写给亲属、朋友的,可加上自已的称呼,如儿、弟、兄、侄等,后边写名字,不必写姓。如果是写给组织的信,一定要把姓与名全部写上。而在署名之后,有时还视情况加上“恭呈”“谨上”等,以示尊敬。上述自称,都要和信首的称谓相互吻合。
日期一项,用以注明写完信的时间,写在署名之后或下边有时写信人还加上自己的所在的地点,尤其是在旅途中写的信,更应如此。

正文是信件的主体部分,也是书信的内容。正文应在称呼的下一行开始。正文的写法应该有一定的规律,一般是开头带有寒暄、客气的套语。正文要写事情。收尾要有寒暄、客气的套语。一般开头的套语要根据信件的内容,尤其是回信的情景来选择不同的套语。而且要开门见山,提出写信的目的,表明写信的性质。要发挥自己的想象力把文中所给的三个要点进行扩展,同时应该根据文章的要求增加相关的细节及关联词语,这样既能做到要点全面,又能使所写的文章语言流畅,衔接自然。第三步:礼貌性的结尾套语
这些套语一般都是焦急等待你回信的话。例如:I am looking forward to your reply./ Please write to me soon./ I hope to hear form you soon./ I would appreciate it if you could send a reply at your convenience.或者是祝福、问候一类的用语,例如:Please give my best regards to your family / Please remember me to your family./ With best wishes to you.第四步: 签名
签名时注意不要签自己的真名,按照书信的要求办事。个人署名 : yours truly W.J.watson , 公司署名: Yours faithfully , Legend Computer Company Wang Lin Sales Mangers.(常用的头语有:I have received your letter of July Ist.7月1 日来信已经收悉。I have the pleasure to tell you that …….很高兴告诉你……。

书信是人类交流的一种最古老也是最重要的方式之一,对于人类的交际具有重要的意义。大学生无论在何时何地,都需要因为各种原因而给相关人士写信,来表达自己的动机、目的和愿望等。书信分为私人信函和公务信函。私人信函属于非正式文体,一般是指与熟人、家人和朋友之间进行日常事务交流的信件。私人信件用词可以比较随意,但是语气要真挚。
公务信件则属于正式文体,通常用于商务和外贸场合,以及公司与公司之间、与客户之间的业务往来等。其中最实用也是最重要的包括辞职信、请求信、建议信、求职信、道歉信、感谢信、申请信、投诉信、询问信、邀请信和祝贺信等。尽管书信类别多样,但是我们一定要牢记,所有的书信都是“万变不离其宗”,只要掌握其格式、框架和基本语气,就能够写出一篇质量上乘的书信出来。书信的写作格式

书信的结构:
英文的书信结构通常包括6个组成部分:信头(heading,包括寄信人地址和日期)、信内地址(inside address,指收信人地址)、称呼(salutation)、正文(body)、结束语(complimentary)、签名(signature),有时候还包括附言(postscript)和附件(attachment)。
称呼:
称呼是书信的开头部分,是写信人对收信人的称谓。无论是私人信件、还是公务信件,一般都以“Dear”作为开头引出收信人的姓名和头衔。称呼的后面一般都要求加逗号。
在私人信件中,如果写信人与收信人关系比较亲密,则称呼可以比较随意,一般都是“Dear”后面直接加人名,如“Dear Anna, Dear Tom”等;或者“Dear”后面加长辈的称呼,如“Dear Papa, Dear Aunt”;如果关系不是非常亲密,则要称呼对方的姓,写做“Dear Mr.Smith, Dear Mrs.Smith, Dear Miss Smith, Dear Ms Smith”。注意,在不知道女士的婚嫁状况的时候,宜用“Ms.”。
在公务信件中,一般的称呼格式是在收信人头衔后加姓,或者加收信人全名。要特别注意收信人的头衔。具体称呼方式及缩写如下:

特别是在给一些团体和不知名的个人的正式信件中,除了以上结束语外还可以采用以下形式:Truly yours, Sincerely yours, Faithfully yours, etc.英文信件结束语形式非常多,对于考生来说如果能够掌握各种情况下的不同结束语自然最好,但是对于应试来说,考生掌握一个“Yours sincerely”就可以以不变应万变,因为这个结束语普遍适用于私人和公务信件。

便条是一种简单的书信。虽然内容简单,但却有其独特的风格。主要目的是为了尽快的把最新的信息、通知、要求或者活动的时间、地点转告给对方。常见的便条有收条、欠条、留言和请假条等。
便条可以有题目,也可以省略题目。便条开篇须有称呼语,但称呼可以比较随便。日期部分可写在便条的右上角。日期的签署通常只需写星期几或星期几的上午、下午,也可只写上午或下午和具体时间。只写日期也可以。便条结尾须署上留条人的姓名,位置在正文的右下角。便条的形式和内容简洁,故可以用几句话概括。文内语言尽量通俗口语化,简单扼要,直截了当,无需使用客套语言。便条虽简单,但中心务必突出,更要注明活动的时间及地点。便条不需邮寄,不用信封。通常请人代为转交。有时可写在留言板和留言簿上。
