人物：旁白 Mathilde, Pierrir, Forestier和她仆人,Minister,comerade,舞会4对
音乐（德彪西《月光曲》）旁白，玛蒂尔德上场，站在窗边凝视窗外，沉思，而后慢慢走向舞台中央，坐下，梦想，神情随旁白内容而变化。
[旁白]：she was one of those pretty and charming young creatures who sometimes are born, as if by a slip of fate, into a family of clerks.She had no dowry['daʊ(ə)rɪ], no expectations, no way of being known, understood, loved, married by any rich and distinguished [dɪ'stɪŋgwɪʃt] man;so she let herself be married to a little clerk of the Ministry ['mɪnɪstrɪ] of Public Instruction.She dressed plainly['pleinli] because she could not dress well, but she was unhappy as if she had really fallen from a higher station Mathilde suffered ceaselessly, feeling herself born to enjoy all delicacies['delɪkəsɪz] and all luxuries ['lʌkʃ(ə)rɪz].第一幕 [接到请柬] 旁白：One day, Pierrir recieved an education bureau[ˈbjʊərəʊ] party invitation ,and so happy to go home to prepare to show it to Mathilde 皮埃尔上场，音乐中断。
皮：Mathilde Open the door!玛：What the hell, you have not brought the key? Open the door by your own!皮：（开门——好心情并未被破坏，走向玛）There, there’s something for you.（扬了扬请柬）玛：Really？What is it?（边说边站起，接过请柬——感到有些意外，又非常高兴 她边走边读，慢慢的，情绪由开心转为懊恼，皮紧跟其后，伸着脖子，希望得到赞赏）The Minister of Education and Madame Ramponneau[ˈræmpəniəu] request the pleasure of the company of Monsieur[məˈsjə] and Madame Loisel at the Ministry on the evening of Monday, January the 18th.玛：（扔请柬）What do you want me to do with that?（一脸懊恼的神情）
皮：（迅速小心地捡起请柬，难过地）But, my dear, I thought you would be pleased.You never go out, and here’s a chance, a fine one.I had the hardest work to get it.Everybody is after them;they are greatly sought[sɔ:t] for and not many are given to the clerks.You will see there all the official world.（玛任性地背着脸，皮围着玛转，体现皮讨好妻子，而玛任性，不听话的样子）玛：What do you want me to put on my back to go there?（愤怒，瞪着皮）
皮：（结结巴巴，尴尬）But the dress in which you go to the theater.That looks very well to me.（玛哭）
皮：（不知所措，着急地）What’s the matter? What’s the matter?
玛：（抑制悲痛，擦干泪，平静地）Nothing.Only I have no clothes, and in consequence I cannot go to this party.Give your card to some colleague[ˈkɒli:g] whose wife has a better outfit than I.皮：（难过）See here, Mathilde, how much would this cost, a proper dress, which would do on other occasions [ə'keɪʒ(ə)nz];something very simple? 玛：（暗自盘算了一下，然后迟疑地）I don't know exactly, but I think I could manage it with four hundred francs.皮：（脸色发白，面向观众，沮丧地）gosh, I just kept such a sum, it seems, I dream of the shotgun, which will vanish[ˈvænɪʃ].皮：（对着玛）All right.I will give you four hundred francs.But take care to have a pretty dress.玛：（开心地跳起，热烈地）I will.It's very nice of you, honey!
三天后
（音乐 ：舒伯特《小夜曲》尾声）
夜会的日子近了，但是她显得郁闷、不安、忧愁。（玛坐在椅子上，沉思，面带忧愁）
皮： What is the matter? Come on, you have seemed very strange these last three days.（温柔地，关切地）。
玛：It annoys me not to have a jewel[ˈdʒu:əl], not a single stone, to put on.I shall look like distress.I would almost rather not go to this party.（略带埋怨）
皮：（沉思片刻）You will wear some natural flowers.They are very stylish this time of the year.For ten francs you will have two or three magnificent[mægˈnɪfɪsnt] roses.玛：（身子转到一边，依旧任性地）No;there’s nothing more humiliating[hju:'mɪlɪeɪtɪŋ] than to look poor among a lot of rich women.皮：（窘迫地立在一边，绞尽脑汁）What a goose you are!Go and find your friend, Mme.Forestier, and ask her to lend you some jewelry['dʒu:əlrɪ].You know her well enough to do that.玛：（兴奋地从座位上跳起来，拉住皮袖子）That’s true.I had not thought of it
第二幕 借项链
玛：叮咚，叮咚……（按着门铃）佛：Mary，Mary！
仆人：Here，Lady。I will answer it right away。(放下手中的活)玛：(微笑）Hello！
仆人：(边让玛进门边说)Lady,this is Mrs Loisel 佛：Oh，Mathilde，so it's you!玛：Can you lend me some jewelry? 佛：Of course, wait for me for a little while.（走向卧室去取梳妆盒）
玛蒂尔德暗暗地笑了，她想象着佛来思节夫人的珠宝首饰……佛来思节夫人取来梳妆盒，放在桌子上，那是一件漂亮贵重的东西。
佛：（微笑着）Choose, my dear.玛：（打开梳妆盒，惊呆了）So many jewelry!（她先试了试一条手链，觉得不好，又试了另一条，又觉得不好，发现一条项链）
佛：Let me help you,dear.（为玛戴好项链，笑意盈盈）Mathilde, how beautiful you are!玛：（照了照镜子，觉得项链不太高贵）Haven't you anything else? 佛：I have a lot of, just choose it by yourself!玛：（突然发现一个青缎盒子，赶忙拿在手里，打开一看）Wow, a diamond necklace!（恳求的眼光望着佛）Can I wear this necklace? 佛：Of course come on, let me help you（拿过项链，帮玛戴上）
玛：（盯着镜子中的她，深情地笑了，这时的她觉得好幸福，觉得自己好高贵，于是，她转过身来对佛来思节夫人）Will you lend me this, only this? 佛：Why, yes, certainly.You look so beautiful!玛：Really? You are so sweet!Thank you very much.（整个人跳了起来，搂住朋友的脖子，狂吻，以示感谢，之后，迅速拿起桌上的那个青缎盒子，戴着项链跑了，并且一边跑一边向佛高声嚷）I will give it back to you soon!佛：（无奈地望着她的背影，笑着摇摇头）oh，Mathilde！
第三幕 舞会（音乐起 ——约翰施特劳斯《蓝色的多瑙河》，伴着音乐，旁白起：
The night of the ball arrived.Madame Loisel was a great success.She was prettier than any other woman present, elegant[ˈelɪgənt], graceful, smiling and wild with joy.All the men looked at her, asked her name, sought to be introduced.All the attaches[əˈtæʃeiz] of the Cabinet[ˈkæbɪnət] wished to dance with her.She was remarked by the minister[ˈmɪnɪstə(r)] himself.She danced with rapture[ˈræptʃə(r)], with passion[ˈpæʃn], intoxicated[ɪnˈtɒksɪkeɪtɪd] by pleasure, forgetting all in the triumph[ˈtraɪʌmf] of her beauty, in the glory[ˈglɔ:ri] of her success, in a sort of cloud of happiness comprised[kəmp'raɪzd] of all this homage[ˈhɒmɪdʒ], admiration, these awakened desires[dɪˈzaɪə(r)z] and of that sense of triumph which is so sweet to woman's heart.She left the ball about four o'clock in the morning.部：Is that beautiful lady your wife? 皮：Yeah.同事：She is really pretty,elegant,graceful!部：That’s for sure!皮：Thanks my lord!同事：What if I can dance with her!部：Just go ahead!同事：Can I, Pierrir? 皮：Enjoy yourself sir.(同事进舞池，邀请Mathilde双双起舞……)（音乐在众人掌声中消失）
第四幕 丢项链及还债（音乐弱）
玛：（进门后，脱下旧外套，提起裙摆，跳几步华尔兹）The party is really happy today!ah Ah.玛：Oh,no！
皮：What is the matter with you?（不知发生什么事，语气平缓地）
玛：I have--I have--I've lost Madame Forestier's necklace, she cried.皮：（急）What!--how? Impossible!You're sure you had it on when you left the ball?（找妻子脱下的旧大衣）
玛：Yes, I felt it in the vestibule[ˈvestɪbju:l] of the minister's house.“ 皮：But if you had lost it in the street we should have heard it fall.It must be in the carriage[ˈkærɪdʒ].” 玛：Yes, probably.it in the carriage.（哭，趴在桌子上）
皮：（沉默，吸烟）I shall go back on foot,over the whole route, to see whether I can find it.（下）
玛：My necklace, my necklace.God bless me（在胸口划十字，回忆。坐下，哭。）
旁白：He went to police headquarters, to the newspaper offices to offer a reward;he went to the cab companies--everywhere, in fact, wherever he was urged by the least spark of hope.She waited all day, in the same condition of mad fear before this terrible calamity[kəˈlæməti].Loisel returned at night with a hollow, pale face.He had discovered nothing 玛：（急忙站起，走到门口，停住做一番祈祷，开门）How? 皮：（低下头无奈地摇摇头）
玛：（哭）So, how could I return the necklace tomorrow?（坐下更大声地哭）
皮：（坐下，沉默）You must write to your friend, that you have broken the clasp[klɑ:sp] of her necklace and that you are having it mended.That will give us time to turn round." 玛：OK.（坐下写信）
旁白：Then they went from jeweler to jeweler, searching for a necklace like the other, trying to recall it, both sick with chagrin ['ʃægrɪn] and grief[gri:f].They found, in a shop at the Palais Royal, a string[strɪŋ] of diamonds that seemed to them exactly like the one they had lost.It was worth forty thousand francs.They could have it for thirty-six.At the end of ten years they had paid everything, everything, with the rates of usury and the accumulations of the compound interest.第五幕【真相】
（音乐起——马格纳《美丽的早晨》）
旁白: at the end of tenth years, the debt[det] was gone finally.One day, Mathilde went to the park for a walk, and get some rest after one week’s tired.Then, she saw a woman walking, it is Madame Forestier, she is still young, still beautiful.Mathilde get many feelings, and walked up to her)玛：Good-day, Jeanne.佛：（非常惊讶，磕磕巴巴地）But--madame!--I do not know who you are!--You must have mistaken.仆人：Who are you, dirty dead, don't get close to our lady!玛：But, I…I… I’m Mathilde!I am Mathilde Loisel.（同时用手去抓佛的手）佛：（把手缩回，上下打量玛）Oh, my poor Mathilde!How you are changed!玛：（低下头）Yes, I have had a pretty hard life, since I last saw you, and great poverty--and that because of you!（两个人同时散步，走到公园椅子边坐下）这些年来我忍受了许多苦楚，……而且都是因为你！……
佛：Beause of me? How so? 玛：Do you remember that diamond necklace you lent me to wear at the ministerial[ˌmɪnɪˈstɪəriəl] ball? 佛：（想了一下）Yes.Well?（玛低下头，若有所思）玛：Well, I lost it.佛：（很惊讶）What do you mean? You brought it back.玛：I brought you back another exactly like it.And it has taken us ten years to pay for it.You can understand that it was not easy for us, for us who had nothing.At last it is ended, and I am very glad.（佛很惊讶）
佛：（恍然大悟地）You say that you bought a necklace of diamonds to replace mine? 玛：（带着天真得意地笑）Yes.You never noticed it, then!They were very similar.（抓住佛的手）佛：（感动地抓住玛的一只手，站起来）Oh, my poor Mathilde!Why, my necklace was paste[peɪst]!It was worth at most only five hundred francs!玛：（急忙站出来，呈惊讶状）Ah!……
第二篇：英文短剧剧本 《项链》
Necklace 剧情：玛是个家境一般却渴望过贵妇生活的女子。去参加一次高档舞会找朋友佛借了项链，却在舞会丢了项链，为了还债，她和丈夫辛苦工作了10年。10年将她变得又老又丑，最后却得知项链本是假的。

But--madame!--I do not know--You must have mistaken.” 佛：（非常惊讶，磕磕巴巴地）可是„„太太„„我不知道„„你一定是认错人了。“No.I am Mathilde Loisel.” 玛：没错，我是玛蒂尔德啊！（同时用手去抓佛的手）“Oh, my poor Mathilde!How you are changed!” 佛：（把手缩回，上下打量玛）啊！„„我可怜的到蒂尔德，你怎么变成这样？

（一个妇人在地上拖地，她胡乱地挽着头发，歪斜地系着裙子，露出一双通红的手，旁边，凶悍的老板娘双手插在腰上）
老板娘：快点！你要是偷懒的话，我就扣你工钱！
玛：（大声）知道了，知道了，我一定好好干。
（老板娘离开，玛来到窗前，望着天空，放下了手中的拖把）
玛：上帝啊，为什么要这样不公平，为什么，为什么！（大声）
玛：如果我生长在高雅奢华的家庭（陶醉）那该多好——东方的帷幕，高脚的青铜灯宽大的
桌椅，还有，还有精巧的机器，珍奇的古玩，扑鼻的小客室（水桶被打翻）噢，天哪（痛苦的神情），真希望活在梦境之中，而用不着整天面对着那一切，用不着去竭尽精力偿还原本应属于我的一切！（继续拖地）
第二幕
（路揭开了锅盖子）
路：（惊喜）啊！好香的肉汤！再没有比这更好的了！
（玛惆怅）
（路从包里拿出请柬，玛蒂尔德接过请柬）
玛：教育部长乔治·朗伯诺及夫人，恭请路瓦栽先生与夫人于一月十八日（星期一）光临教育部礼堂，参加夜会。
（她把信慢慢放下，思索了一会，然后把信往丈夫的怀中一丢）
玛：你叫我拿着这东西怎么办！
路：（结结巴巴，手足无措的）但是，亲爱的，我原以为你一定很喜欢的，你从来不出门，这是一个机会，一个，一个好机会！（愁苦的，委屈的）我费了多大力气才弄到手！大家都希望得到，可是很难得到，一向很少发给职员。你在那里可以看见所有的官员。
玛：（怨怼的看着路瓦栽，身子一侧）你打算叫我怎么去呢！？
路：（快步走到玛蒂尔德面前，结结巴巴的）“你上戏院子穿的那件衣裳，我觉得就很好，照我看……
（玛用手擦了擦眼泪，抽抽泣泣地哭了起来）
路：（惊慌失措的）你，你怎么了！怎么哭了，你怎么了！
玛：（平静）没有什么，只是没有一件像样的衣服，我不能去参加这个夜会。你的同事，谁 的妻子打扮得比我好，就把这请柬送给谁去吧！（说到这里，又哭了出来）
路：好吧，玛蒂尔德。做一身合适的衣服，你在别的场合也能穿，很朴素的，得多少钱呢？
玛；（想了几秒钟，迟疑的踱了几步）准数呢，我不知道，不过我想，有四百法郎就可以办到。
路；（退了几步，抬头看了看天花板，决然的）好吧！我给你四百法郎。不过你得把这件长衣裙做得好看些。
旁白：夜会的日子近了，但是路瓦栽夫人显得郁闷、不安、忧愁。她的衣服却做好了，她丈夫有一天晚上对她说——
路：（关心的）“你怎么了？看看这三天来你非常奇怪，是不是得了什么病了？”
玛：（埋怨的）“我处处带着穷酸气，就算衣服做好了，但是我连一件可以作为点缀的
首饰也没有，你叫我怎么去参加这个夜会！”
路：（想办法）“戴上几多鲜花吧！别在胸前与肩上装点一下，这个时节是很时兴的！”
玛：（不依）“在阔太太中，这样的点缀算得了什么呢，难也难看死了！”
路：（一拍手，站起，喜悦的）“你不是有一个叫弗莱斯杰夫人的朋友吗！你和她的交情
非比寻常，量来你去问他借几件首饰是不成问题的！”
玛：（站起身围着路瓦栽转了一圈，心花怒放的）“真的呢！我怎么就没有想到！”
第三幕
旁白：第二天，玛蒂尔德到他的朋友家中。
玛：“哦！弗莱斯杰！”
弗：“哦！你好，玛蒂尔德！”
（仆人上）
仆人（恭敬的）：“太太，咖啡。”
玛：“谢谢！哦！弗莱斯杰，您家的仆人也这样懂礼貌！”
弗：“呵呵，今天来找我，是为了什么事？”
玛：“哦！弗莱斯杰，我遇到麻烦了！”
弗：“哦！怎么了，我亲爱的玛蒂尔德？”
玛：“是这样的，嗯……我丈夫前几天接到了教育部发来的请柬，请柬上说让我们去参
加夜会，我恰好做了一件新衣服所以很乐意去，不过……你是知道的，我平时就很朴素，所以没有什么首饰……”
弗：（离开座位，走到后台，取出一只大匣子，拿过来并打开，甜美的）“挑吧，亲爱 的。”
玛：“哦！太谢谢您了，弗莱斯杰！”
旁白：玛蒂尔德先看了几副镯子，又看了一挂珍珠项圈，随后又看了一个威尼斯式的镶着宝
石的金十字架，做工非常精巧。她在镜子前便是这些首饰，犹豫不决，不知道该拿起哪 件，放下哪件。最后她问道——
玛：“再没有别的了吗？”
弗：“还有呢，你自己找吧，我不知道哪样合你的意。”
玛蒂尔德在一个青缎子盒子里发现一挂精美的钻石项链，她把项链绕着脖子挂在她那长长的高领上，站在镜前对着自己的影子出神了好半天。终于，她开口了——
玛：“你能借我这件吗？我只借这一件。”
弗：“当然可以。”
玛：（狂喜的）“哦！你太好了！弗莱斯杰，谢谢谢谢，再见！”（带着这件宝物飞奔而去）
旁白：夜会的日子转眼便到了。
（室内，众男宾与众女宾。玛蒂尔德挽住她丈夫的手，步入室门，所有的男宾马上停下讲话，一齐盯着她看，玛蒂尔德微笑着做出雍容华贵的姿态，马上就有男宾来邀她跳舞）
（男宾们开始交头接耳）
男宾一：那女子是谁？
男宾二：不清楚，她可真漂亮啊，看看有谁认识她，好做介绍。
男宾一：“小姐，我能请你跳只舞吗？”
玛：“当然可以！”（从路瓦栽的臂弯中抽出，踱步上前，把手给男宾）
（圆舞曲放）（接下来就是集体跳舞或纷纷拿起台上的高脚杯喝酒。）
男宾二：（用胳膊肘碰碰路瓦栽并指指玛蒂尔德）“嗨！她是你女人？”
路：（有些许尴尬）“是啊！”
男宾二：（讽刺的）“不会罢，果然是一朵鲜花……啊，哈哈！”（走开）
男宾三：（醉了的）“兄弟你也一个人在这里？”
路：“……是啊！”
男宾三：“你老婆呢？”
路：（尴尬的）“……在那里跟别人跳舞。”
男宾三：“哈哈，同病相怜，走吧，我们一起到小客室睡觉去！”
（男宾三拖住路瓦栽走了……）
（玛蒂尔德依旧狂舞着，陶醉了）
旁白：直到早晨四点，宴会才散了，玛蒂尔德恋恋不舍的望着这间富丽堂皇的屋子，直到路
瓦栽把一件很朴素的家常衣服披在她的肩上——
玛：（冷冷地）“我不要披这件衣服！”（把衣服拉下）
路：“不披衣服要着凉的。”
（玛蒂尔德还是把衣服拉下，不管丈夫，独自朝门外走）
路：（追上去，关心的）“等等，玛蒂尔德，你到外边要着凉的！我去叫一辆马车来。”
旁白：到家的时候，已是天将拂晓，玛蒂尔德进了屋子，跑到镜子前边，为的是趁着荣耀的打扮还在身上在端详一下自己，但是，她猛然喊了一声——
玛：（极度惊慌的）“啊！！”
路：“什么事情！”
玛：“我……我……我……我丢了弗拉斯杰夫人的那条项链！哦！天哪！怎么办！”
路：“什么？……怎么啦！……怎么会有这样的事！来，快找找！”
（他们在长衣裙褶里，大衣褶里寻找，在所有的口袋里寻找，然而始终没有找到。）
路：“你确定离开舞会的时候它还在？”
玛：“是的，在教育部的走廊上我还摸过它呢！”
路：“一定是丢在车里了！”
玛：“是的，很可能，你记得车的号码吗？”
路：“没有！你先回去，我去吧我们走过的路再走一遍，看看会不会找到。”
（路瓦栽走了出去，玛蒂尔德坐在一张椅子上，一会儿，她丈夫回来了。）
玛：怎么样了？
路：没有没有找到，我去过警察厅，还到所有车行去找，凡是有一线希望的地方，我都已经找过了。（沉默）
玛：上帝啊，为什么，为什么你要这样愚弄我！
路；（平静却有些生硬的）应该给你朋友写信了，说你把项链的搭钩弄坏了，正在修理，这
样我们才会有周转的时间。
（玛不住点头，急忙去写信）
第四幕
路：（沮丧）都一个星期过去了，没有希望了（停顿）应该想法赔偿这件首饰了。
玛：是的（拿出盒子）我们按盒子上的招牌字号去找那家珠宝店去。
（店里）
老板：太太.这挂项链不是我卖出的，我只卖出这个盒子。
玛：是吗，那该怎么办，老板求求你了，能不能告诉我们这附近有没有卖这项链的商店。
老板：有.让我想想（过了一会儿），在皇宫街的一家店里有。
（来到店里）
玛：（看到项链，惊讶）是的，就是这串。
路：老板，这串项链能不能再便宜一点。
乙：哦.先生.你也是知道的，我们做的也是小买卖，赚不了几个字，不过假若你是诚心要的话，那我就打个九折，三万六如何。
路：（晴天霹雳.咬咬牙）老板，就这样说定了，但你可千万不要就把它卖了，至少在三天里，如果三天后我们找到原先自己丢失的那一串，你能够回收吗？
乙：当然可以，不过价钱嘛。
玛：怎么样。
乙：这样吧，三万四成交，如何。
路：（惊讶.咬咬牙）就这样吧！
（路上）
路：你先回去，把我父亲留给我的一万八千法郎取出来，然后，我去找亲戚朋友借去……。
旁白：于是，路瓦栽开始东借西凑，他向许多人求助，向这个借一千法郎，向那个借五百法郎，（路瓦栽在向别人借钱），他和放高利贷的人和各种不同国籍的人借钱，签定许多的契约，他顾不得后半世的生活了，我可怜的孩子，他未来的苦恼，将重重地压在他身上的残酷的危困，肉体的苦楚，精神的折磨。终于，他得到了那串项链。
（玛来到弗家）
弗：（不高兴，不满意地看着）你应当早点还给我，也许我早就要用它了。（把盒子随手放在旁边）很晚了，你也应该回去歇着了，我看你好像十分憔悴。
路：“现在我们怎么办！财产没有了，房子没有了，什么都没了，可是我们还要偿还那 笔骇人听闻的债款……”
玛：“我决定了，我要偿还这笔可怕的债款，明天我们就搬走，我会想法去找工作！”
第五幕
旁白：从此，这个可怜的女子将设法偿还那笔可怕的债务，她刷洗杯盘碗碟，在油腻的盆上和锅底上磨粗了她粉嫩的手指，每天早晨，她把垃圾从楼上提到街上，再把水从楼下提到楼上，她给一个小店的老板娘做事，已经顾不得应有的尊严，顾不得满足自己内心的虚荣，他们夫妻俩月月还一些旧债，再去借一些新债，来延清时月。就这样，十年过去了，债也还清了，全都还清了。
老板：这是你今天的工钱，你可以下班了。
玛：是的，多谢你了（接过钱，走了）
玛：（喃喃自语）反正明天是周末，倒不如到公园去走走，舒散一下也好。
（来到公园）
玛：（看到一个妇人走来，是佛，吃惊）
（犹豫，自语）我要不要上去和她打招呼呢？
（上前）你好，珍妮！
弗：（吃惊，停顿打量了一会）可是……太太…..我不知道，你一定是认错了。（边走边聊）
玛：没有错，我是玛蒂尔德，路瓦栽。
弗：啊（尖叫）我可怜的玛蒂尔德，你怎么变成这样了……。
玛：（叹口气）是的，多年不见面了，这些年来我忍受着许多苦楚……而且.而且都是因为你……。
弗：因为我？这是怎么讲的？
