小学英语精彩课堂之我见
新课程倡导培养学生的创新思维,教师首先必须要更新教育理念,开拓自己的创新能力。有创意的教师才会培养出有创新意识的学生。在实际教学中,我们是否由于惯性、由于怕麻烦而频繁使用单一的呈现方式、枯燥的操练形式,是否忽视英语教学的学科特点,忽视它的语言特性,学生学的和老师做的都是某种“知识”,而不是用于交流的语言,教师对教材缺乏灵活的、创造性的处理,受教材局限过多,没有充分考虑学生的需要而合理利用和开发课程资源。我们的学生是否会厌倦甚至会丢弃这“千人一面”的课堂?我们是否应该用创新“保鲜”我们的课堂,打造英语课堂的魔力与精彩呢?
一、英语课堂创新教学策略。
(一)创新呈现方式
在英语教学中,单词和句型都需要教师设计一些呈现方式来教学,但惯用的呈现方式使用次数多了就会过“保鲜期”,新鲜感淡了,兴趣就没了。好的开始是成功的一半,教师必须在开课之初就仅仅抓住孩子的注意力。
1.和“开门见山”说再见
“开门见山”的呈现方式即教师拿着单词或句子卡片直接向学生出示并告诉其含义。这种呈现方式简单、直接且最省力省时。在“常态课”上用的较多。但如果天天如此、课课如此,师生难免都会感到厌倦。为了“保鲜”,在教学中,我们要善于学习和创
新形式多样的方法。如采用“听一听,猜一猜”即播放动物录音、呈现图片一部分的方式引入动物单词;采用“闻一闻、摸一摸、尝一尝”引入水果、蔬菜单词,采用“穿一穿”学服装单词、采用“做一做”学习动作类单词、采用“画一画”城市天气预报常用的符号引入天气类单词。并注意在一节课中单词或句子同一呈现方式不要超过两次,例如一位教师在讲述My home,通过洗澡声和切菜声导入单词bathroom和kitchen,通过沙发、电视等物品引入单词living room,通过一张床的画面导入单词bedroom。教学活动调动了学生多种感官,启迪了学生思维,唤醒了学生的想象力,调动了学生的学习热情,实现了课堂教学的有效性导入。
2.让学生成为“小先生”
小学教师要有颗童心,了解儿童心理需求,善于做好学生的玩伴,改变那种高高在上的心理,放低姿态,与学生建立一种和谐平等的伙伴关系,能提出问题将“球”抛给学生,还要善于将抛“球”的权利让给学生。例如我在教学“Is this your…?Yes, he /she is.No, he /she isn’t.”时,采用了分解教学难点的方法:先由教师问:Is this your…? 学生只答Yes或No,然后把提问的“球”让给学生:Is this your…? 教师接“球”:Yes, he /she is.或 No, he /she isn’t.这一环节的设计,使学生很新鲜,由他们来问老师,了解老师的家人,当了回“小先生”,拉近了师生间的距离,而且对难点he /she的引入也比较自然,让学生先从“听”上接受了这一教学难点。教师与学生在相互“抛
球”与“接球”过程中进行着角色的转换,共同构成教学中的双主体,有效化解了教学难点。
(二)开拓操练途径
如果总是一味地“one by one”操练单词或“pair work”操练对话,学生会变得机械、无趣,学习将会无聊、无味,教师要善于整合多种教学手段,创新形式多样的活动,将机械操练趣味化、意义操练游戏化,有效内化语言知识、生成语言技能。
1.字母、单词学习的趣味活动 ﹙1﹚动作激趣
小学英语教学要使用听、做、说、唱、玩、演、读、写诸技巧,并能根据教学内容的需要去选择搭配。
如给“说”搭上伙伴:说与做结合。例如,教学《快乐英语》第一册Unit5Animals lesson1,我双臂摆动模拟小鸟扇翅动作,边表演边说:bird,bird,a bird,啾啾啾。教师再通过改变扇翅幅度的大小、频率转换声音的高低、快慢,学生跟随教师反复模仿操练,课堂呈现一种错落有致、抑扬顿挫的旋律美。对于Chick,puppy,fish,kitten的学习同样伴随动作与声音的模拟,学生的参与热情高涨,伴随着教师的动作不自觉的模仿练习,在玩中学得语言。给“听”加上动作:“听”与做结合。如一些动作短语的学习:wake up,brush my teeth, wash my face, mop the floor…可采用“听做”形式操练。一些形容词,如hot, cold, cool, warm…可让学生“演一演”这种天气下的感受,并进行简单表达,如:hot weather , hot weather , I don’t like hot weather.或cold weather, cold weather, I like cold weather。一些字母,如K,P,d,n,b,c…可让学生用肢体“摆一摆”,大大增加了学习情趣。教师要大胆实践,勇于创新,优化组合,打造趣味课堂、活力课堂和有效课堂。
﹙2﹚游戏生趣
为了让小学生能在课堂上保持较长时间的注意,课堂活动既应有教师指导下的教学活动,又有学生的自主活动;既要有学生安静的倾听,又让他们做一些动态的操练和游戏活动。让学生通过听、说、模仿等活动获得新知,在玩一玩的过程中得到巩固。玩既是对学生注意力的调节,也是对学生所学知识的巩固。
在玩时,教师可设计参与面广,竞争性强的游戏。小学词汇游戏很多。“Loud and low”适用于巩固单词读音的教学,声音的变化可改善单一节奏,呈现高低起伏的韵律;“What’s missing?”和“More and more”是短时记忆游戏,可以巩固和认读单词;“TPR”和“Guessing”等充分利用了学生好奇和好玩的天性,可以提高学生学习单词的兴趣和效果,并提高学生单词的认读能力,为单词拼写打下良好的基础。
还是以教学动物单词为例,我在引导学生进行整体性操练后,设计“找词卡”游戏,效果非常好。我每次叫一名学生到教室前面背对教师,教师将图片藏到教室一个角落,分别是桌面、桌斗、椅子上、同学手里。教师问:My bird, where is it? 这名学生
开始寻找,其他同学则小声说:bird,bird,a bird。随着目标的靠近,学生大声说:bird,bird,a bird。这一活动设计,给英语教学创设了一种有效情境,在生生间巧妙创设了一种“信息沟”,让学生在趣味中习得语言,学生的积极性得到了保护,兴趣得到了调动,那么,“美丽”的生成自然就水到渠成了,而这都得益于教师的巧妙创新。
2.句子学习的趣味活动
教学的目的之一是为了培养学生的学习能力,教学不仅应着眼于当下的、现实的发展,更应放眼于学生未来的、终身的发展,而学生能力的培养进程是渐进式的、并非一蹴而就的。教师在短短40分钟内不仅要能有效地达成教学目标,更要注重对学生能力的培养。
﹙1﹚激活思维,创新迁移
教学“It’s hot today.Mum, can I have some cold water, please? ”时,在进行几遍操练后,学生表现出心不在焉的状态,于是我灵机一动,说道:It’s hot today.Can I have some apple juice? 并开玩笑地说,只要你能想的到,我就满足你的愿望,其实我只是双手展开做出“给你”的动作,说:“Here you are.”经我的提示和点拨,学生的思维活跃起来,结果学生从饮料到食品、从水果到蔬菜、从冷饮到热饮、又从混合饮品milk coffee、coke juice到多种饮品milk and juice以及多种食品an orange and an apple,,学生不断闪现创造的火花,这个教学环节掀起了
课堂气氛的高潮。学生创造性思维是沉睡的“蓝精灵”,需要教师适时来点醒。此时的我,已被他们的精彩回答所折服,我所表现出的惊讶与惊喜一定也激励着他们,这一场景已定格于我的心中。
﹙2﹚创设游戏,化解难点
对于教学难点“Is it…?”学生将“Is it”误读成“it is”的读音,并出现“Is it carrot?”忘在名词前加“a”和“Is it a purple”在形容词前乱加“a”的现象。为此,我设计了猜物和猜颜色的游戏,轻松化解了教学难点。学生感受的是游戏的快乐,而不再是拗口的语言的羁绊,学生关注的是语言的灵魂,而不再是语言的外壳。看着学生在期待与收获的满足中走出课堂,我也享受到了一种耕耘的快乐。
二、英语课堂创新教学要注意的问题 ﹙一﹚创新教学要防止教学目标的“虚化”
新课程改革给教师的教学提出了更高的要求,但在实际教学中,有些教师为了提高学生的学习兴趣,创新英语课堂,设臵了一定的教学情境和活动,但在采用何种方式教学知识问题上产生偏差,使得在设计教学目标时,最应该明确的知识目标反而变得含糊或者缺失。例如,教学《新版小学英语》Unit5 Look at my new jeansLesson28这一课内容时,某位教师把教室布臵成一个“服装店”,让孩子们自由认识各种服装。可这位教师没有引导学生从文本出发,有步骤地学习各种服装和进行必要的技能操练。结果课堂上沸沸扬扬,学生们大呼小叫,场面无法控制,完全遗失了“文
本”,连本堂课最起码的目标——课文单词、句子也草草读几遍了事。外语教学,主要是学生在英语课堂上学得,学生语言能力的获得,需要在培养语言技能中学习语言知识,知识、技能和能力是语言学习的三个层次,是一个循序渐进的过程,没有知识的学习和技能的训练,培养能力只能是空中楼阁,水中望月。教学创新,离不开教师的精心组织和引导,创新活动应以“文本”为基础,因此,要优化教学目标,以防止教学目标的“虚化”问题的产生。
﹙二﹚创新教学要防止教学形式的“虚化”
新课改给英语教学带来了新活力。课堂上,教师不必拘泥于“教参”上的标准答案,也不必受考试内容的拘束,手脚一旦放开,自然就有了一份洒脱,课堂形式也随之多样起来——短剧、表演、采访、讨论、调查、课本剧……各种各样的授课方式,让英语课多了几许春色、几许生机。然而,热闹的课堂是否就有了丰硕的收获?
例如课堂上的小组学习讨论,有些教师只是摆个样子,只给学生两、三分钟时间,教师一声令下,学生的讨论声便戛然而止。而之后的成果展示环节,也往往总是那么几个优等生在表演,大部分学生永远是“看客”,他们没有那么大的勇气做自己没把握的事情,更不想被其他学生耻笑。试问一节语言课,如果学生说的机会微乎其微,他又怎么能够去体验、去记忆、去运用呢?所以有了创新的形式,更要保证给予学生充分的思考时间、操练时间,只有这样,小组活动才不会“虚化”为一种形式,而是实实在在成为学生参与课堂活动的有效方式。
﹙三﹚创新教学要防止学习主体的“虚化”
还有一位教师在教学《新版小学英语》四年级上册服装类单元时,为了巩固新授内容,区分读音相似、图形易混单词,设计了一个“照我说的做,不要照我做的做”的活动——教师说的是:Put on a hat,做的却是:Put on a cap;学生则要Put on a hat……教师发出指令,让学生来积极参与,课堂气氛活跃,可多组游戏下来,学生英语口头表达能力并没有明显提高。细细品味,学生总是在执行命令,仅仅训练了听力而已,教师并没有给学生提供口头表达的机会,又如何谈得上巩固知识、提高学生的表达能力呢?此时的学习主体已经“虚化”。实际上反映的是教师教育理念的滞后和自身角色的错位。教师不再是居高临下的权威,而应是平等的“首席”,教师应该充分信任学生,进行示范后,把发号施令的主动权让给学生来掌控,学生交替轮流发布命令,不仅参与热情大大提高,同时也扩大了操练的密度。教师不仅要关注课堂形式的创新,更要考虑到学习主体——学生的活动,为学生的有效操练提供机会和舞台,从而有效达成教学目标。
以学生为主体,着眼于以学生的发展,在尊重教育教学规律、更新教育教学新理念的基础上,让我们共同努力,用创新打造小学英语课堂的精彩。

荆轲走上前去,(呈恭敬状):Sir,It’s the map.旁白:Jingke fight with King Qin,but,unluckly,Jing Ke was killed by King Qin.Then the story is over.
