学生学习英语的目的

学生是学习英语的主力军，广大学生为学习英语每年都会投入大量的时间和金钱。现在许多商业学习方法或者培训机构为了使这些学生成为自己的用户，不断散发舆论，把学生英语和社会能力英语混为一谈，诱导学生抛开学校教育，选择这些商业培训或方法。这种做法的好坏，这里暂且不论，这儿要澄清的是学生学习英语的目的何在。

学校英语教育的目的

从整个社会的角度来看，英语教育的根本目的是培养学生的英语交际能力。通过学校教育可以让学生掌握基本的英语交际能力，包括英语的听说读写译等方面能力，为将来的深造打好基础。通过学校教育，学生应该可以使用英语进行一些交流，可以描述自己的思想，能说会写，要求达到的水平高低根据学历的高低会有所区别。可以说从社会角度来说，学校教育的目的与所有其它的英语教育的目的是相同的，都是要让学生掌握英语这门语言，可以用英语进行交流。

既然作为一门学科进行学习，就必须涉及到教学成果的评价问题。考试于是成为了考查学生英语能力的一个重要手段。考试只是一种手段，不可能完全体现学校英语教育的目的，不可能全面的考查出学生的真实能力。考试的弊端大家有目共睹，但是在没有找到更好的检测手段之前，考试仍然是考查学生英语能力的主要手段。

考试形式虽然在不断更新，但与真正的考查目的之间仍然会存在很大差距。而且，考试的成绩作为重要的评判依据，将决定广大学生的前途。这一点导致了学校英语教育和社会英语教育具有根本的不同，学校英语教育以考试成绩作为评判依据，社会英语教育以实际应用作为评判依据。所以，当前学校英语教育成为一种应试教育，也是没有办法的事情。

学生学习英语的目的

既然学生学习效果的好坏以考试成绩作为判断，那么从学生的角度来说，学校英语教育的目的就是通过国家英语考试，并且尽量取得好的成绩，尽量获得高分。

从根本上来说，学生学习英语的目的也是为了掌握英语这门语言，能够拥有用英语交流的能力。但受考查手段的影响，学生学习英语更迫切的目标是在考试中获得好的成绩，得到高的分数。

虽然学校教育在不断改革，要改变学校应试教育的问题，变应试教育为能力教育。但只要考试制度继续存在，应试教育的现状就不可能从根本上得到改变。现在学生对这种应试教育普遍持反感态度，许多人有抵触心理，所以无法进行正常的学习活动。很多人于是舍弃学校教育，到社会上寻求更好的学习方法，或者经常参加各种培训班。其实这样就有点舍本逐末了，要想在考试中取得好的成绩，遵循学校教育才是正途，其它的路都是歧途。

学生学习英语的第一目的是在英语考试中取得好成绩，因为考试成绩的好坏直接关系到学生的前途和命运，不可当作儿戏。学校教育是取得好成绩的权威教育，所以学生学习英语应该以学校教育作为根本，不可误入歧途。

学生学习英语的第二目的是掌握英语的交际能力，在获得考试好成绩的基础上，还要有意识的加强英语实际交流能力的培养，尽量扩大知识面，提高应用英语的能力。

考试分数与能力的背离

曾经有一段时间，高分低能现象成为社会关注的焦点。许多优秀学生在考试中能够获得高分，但是实际动手能力却非常差，有的人连基本的生活自理都做不到，这是片面的应试教育造成的后果。

现在这种情况得到了一些改善，学校教育在不断改革，努力向素质教育，能力教育发展，但是分数和能力之间注定会有许多差别，两者之间没有什么必然的联系。高分不代表高能，高能也不代表高分，这两者在有的学生身上能够得到统一，但是多数人很难做到既获得高分还要获得高能力。

考试获得高分同样是一种能力，可以称作应试能力，应试能力不等同于英语交际能力，两者有很大的差别。考试题的形式比较固定，选择题，完型填空题，阅读理解题，听力题，作文题，类型固定，而且考查内容都是有章可循，有固定的课本教材，有教学大纲，有考查重点。

社会交际能力则完全不同，天马行空，以表达思想，交流感情为主要目的，没有什么限制。所以，培养这两种能力的方法是有所不同的，各有侧重点。作为学生，应该分清这两者之间的差别，不能同等对待，混淆模糊。

学生学习英语的重点

既然学生以获取考试最好成绩为第一目标，那么就需要以应对考试为出发点，确定英语学习的重点。英语考试都是以教材为基础，辅以教学大纲作为学习要点，考查知识点都有明确标记，学生学习英语的重点就是大纲标记出来的知识点。

英语考试内容不会脱离英语教材的内容，所以学生学习英语要以英语课本为重点，根据学校课程安排，把每一节课的知识点扎实掌握，并且随着学习不断进行，还要善于总结提高。

1）要学好英语，毅力第一位，方法第二位。勤奋＋毅力＋方法＝成功。大多数人学英语总是以“三天打鱼两天晒网”而终告失败。蚂蚁啃骨头，百折不饶，持之以恒，必定学有所获，学有所成。

2）声音是语言的灵魂，文字是语言的标本。语言是靠耳朵和嘴巴学会的，不是靠眼睛看会的。因此，学英语的过程实际上是多听多说和阅读的过程。不用坏几部复读机，你的英语绝对是哑巴英语。任何人在母语的最初始阶段总是首先建立声音秩序。任何一个小孩在开口讲第一句话之前，象哑巴一样默默听了几年。

3）“曲不离口”，自得其乐。人在哪，英语在哪。将“学以致用”贯穿于生活的时时处处，方方面面。英语的能力不是靠学习了多长时间，而是靠操练了多长时间！游泳是游出来的，钢琴是弹出来的，舞蹈是跳出来的，语言是说出来的。

4）语法的突破一定要靠语感的形成，但语感的形成要靠大流量的语言听说背诵训练。

5）泛听百篇不如听熟背诵一篇。建议采用钟道隆老师的“听写法”，即：听一句写一句，听不懂再反复，直到最后实在写不出再看原文，这样每次能击中你听力中最薄弱的环节，特别有效。

6）背一个单词不如背一个句子。背一个句子不如背一个短篇。因为人和人语言交往的最基本单位是句子。

7）判断一个单词是否真正学会，要看当你看到这个单词就能马上用本单词组成一个句子。组成的句子越多，你运用英语的能力就越强。

8）“温故而知新”是学英语的根本法则，在没有完全忘记之前及时复习、加深印象，如此反复，直至形成永久性记忆。如果等到忘记了再来复习，就像重新学新知识一样，那样，我们就永远是初学者，永远体会不到成功的乐趣。

学习目标的重要性-目标明确

有人在网上做个这样的调查，有目标和没有目标的人，结果是：

27%的人没有目标，成为穷人（乞丐）；

60%的人有目标，但模糊，成为上班族；

10%的人有目标，清晰，成为专业人士；

3%的人有目标，清晰，且白纸黑字写下来，成为顶尖人物。

可见，有目标和没有目标、有目标和把目标写下来是绝对不同的。所以，设订目标是在我们的生活、工作中，在我们发展过程中，是非常重要的。

既然目标使我们产生积极性，目标在人生当中那么重要，那么，目标的作用是 什么呢？

目标有两个方面的作用：一是你努力的依据；二是你的鞭策。

有了明确的学习目标，我们才有学习的热情。学习有一股热情，这样才能有好的学习效果。

目标给你一个看得着的射击靶，随着你努力去实现这些目标，你就会有成就感。有9 8%的人对心目中的世界没有一幅清晰的图画。如果计划不具体，无法衡量是否实现了----那会降低了你的积极性。

有一个故事，说的是在西撒哈拉沙漠中有一个小村庄比赛尔,它在没有被发现之前,还是一块贫脊之地，那里的人没有一个走出过大漠。据说不是他们不愿离开那儿，而是他们尝试过很多次都没能走出去。当一个现代的西方人到了那儿，听说了这件事后，他决心做一次试验。他从比赛尔村向北走，结果三天半就走出来了。

经过此事，他终于明白比赛尔人之所以走不出大漠，是因为他们根本就不认识北斗星。因此，他告诉当地的一位青年，要想走出大漠。只要白天休息，夜晚朝着北面那颗星走，就能走出大漠。那个青年照着他的话去做，三天后果然来到了大漠边缘。

青年人也因此成了比赛尔的开拓者，他的铜像被竖在了小城中央，铜像的底座上刻着一行字：新生活从选定目标开始。

我不知道这个故事能给你带来什么启示，读了这个故事你想到了什么。

在任何一个领域中，取得比较大的成功的人，他们的行为几乎都是指向于自己设定的目标。有了目标，内心的力量才会找到方向，茫无目标的飘荡终归会迷路。

再举个例子：我有一位朋友，他儿子读小学五年级，一天到晚就是打电脑游戏，学习成绩一直是全班前三名（倒数），儿子不行，全家人都没有精神，他做生意，很有钱，但整天为儿子唉声叹气：我与他交谈并制定了学习目标和学习计划，学期结束，学习成绩由倒数第二名前进了10名，全家到饭店吃饭庆贺，我也去了，小孩非常兴奋，因为他取得了巨大的成就。饭后，我对小孩说：你太了不起了，你肯定会取得更大的成就，你想不想下学期前进20名呢？他说：想呀，20名太多了，能做到吗？我说：你半个学期前进了10名，基础打好了，一个学期前进20名比前进10名还容易。他说：真的，那要怎么做？我说：你今天晚上列一个时间表，你每天什么时间看电视、什么时间打电脑游戏、什么时间学习、什么时间睡觉，有一个详细计划，每天严格做就可以了。于是，他以前进20名为目标，天天按时间表去做，一个暑假，他复习了上学期所有课程，预习了下学期的课程。开学半个学期的期中考试，他前进了15名，期未考试，又前进了10名。超额完成了目标。

一、有目标才能走向成功

我们要想成为学习的优等生，要做的第一步就是树立一个成为学习优等生的目标。因为没有目标就没有动力，人能走多高首先取决于是否找准自己的目标，只有选准方

向，才能持久稳健地走下去，才有望达到“顶峰”。一个人没有目标，就像一艘轮船没有舵一样，只能随波逐流，无法掌握，最终搁浅在绝望、失败、消沉的海滩上。

台湾大学有一个关于目标对人生影响的追踪调查，对象是一群智力、学历、环境条件都差不多的年轻人，调查结果发现：26%的人没有目标；61%的人目标模糊；9%的人有比较清晰的短期目标；4%的人有十分清晰的长期的目标。

25年的追踪调查发现，他们的生活状况十分不同，4%拥有长期目标的人，25年来几乎不曾改变过自己的人生目标，他们始终朝着同一个方向努力不懈；若干年后，他们几乎都成为社会各界顶尖的成功人干，他们之中不乏白手创业者，行业领袖，社会精英。9%拥有短期目标的人，多半生活在社会的中上阶层，他们的共同特点是，一些短期目标不断被达成，生活品质稳定上升，他们成为各行各业中不可缺少的专业人士，如医生、律师、工程师、高级主管等等。

61%目标漠糊的人，几乎生活在社会的中下阶层，他们安稳地生活与工作，但没有什么特别的成绩。

26%没有目标的人，他们几乎都属社会的最底层，生活过得很不如意，常常失业，需要社会救济，并且常常抱怨他人，抱怨社会。

调查者因此得出结论：目标对人生有巨大的导向性作用。成功在一开始仅仅是一个选择，你选择什么的目标，就会有什么样的成就，也就会有什么样的人生。

二、如何制定目标

目标是指想要达到的境地或标准。在学习的过程中，一旦制定了一个目标，就会从内心深处产生一种力量，努力朝着所定的目标前进。目标，是一种希望，在希望的激发之下，人才会不断地追求进步向上，所以，为了提高学习成绩和效率，在学习的过程中，需要设立非常明确的目标。

分为总目标和阶段目标

三，不要给学习不努力找借口

我还应提醒大家的是，大多数人总是在没有做这件事之前信誓旦旦，但是一到把这件事情真正做起来，往往就只有三分钟热乎，或者“三天打鱼，两天晒网”。所以，我们要坚持不懈地向着目标前进。

（一）运气借口症

眼下在社会上出现一种流行病，人们张口闭口爱说什么“祝你交好运！”“你的运气真好！”这类语言作为吉利话是无可非议的，但是此类话流传广了，特别是流传到学生中，就用这种思想总结自己学习成功或挫折的原因，那就会产生消极作用，每次考试下来总有人说：“我的运气太差了，复习记忆的东西一个也没考，专考我做不倒的题”。有的学生迟到或吸烟受到老师批评语后，丧气的说：“我真倒霉，又被老师碰上了”。有少数人为了解自己的运气，竟然去找算命先生去抽签，并且信以为真，使运气借口症更重。

患有运气借口症的人，常常把受到挫折或失败的原因，归结为个人的运气不佳，他不是从挫折失败中接受教训，转败为胜，而是坐等好运。进而严重的妨碍了自己的学习进步，到了非治不可的地步。防治方法有两个：

第一，接受科学的因果观念。我们都知道种瓜得瓜，种豆得豆的道理。我们也常说：“一分耕耘，一分收获”，你可以把学习成功的人与学习差的人比较一下，看看成功与失败由哪些原因造成的，运气起多少作用。从而明白：学习成绩好靠的是勤奋加好方法，绝不是运气。

第二，不能妄想不劳而获。靠运气不会成功，算命先生不能预卜你的前程。只有靠自己，靠实践，靠科学方法，靠自己的拼搏和奋斗，才是迈向成功之路的正确途径。

（二）兴趣借口症

有些学生对某学科学得不好，成绩很差，问他们是什么原因，他会理直气壮地说：“我没兴趣！”有些学生说：“我对学习没有兴趣，我学不好，我不学了！”不想学习就说没有兴趣，不愿干的事也说对某事没有兴趣，这类人常以兴趣为借口，行其懒惰不愿做事之实者，我们称之为兴趣借口症。

兴趣借口症的主要症状是不愿意学习或不愿意做事，其实质是懒惰：一是思想懒惰，对学习的内容不愿下功夫，不愿意记忆，更不愿意动脑筋思考，因此学不会；二是行动懒惰，不愿实干，更不刻苦钻研，连基本的作业任务也不完成。

可见，不愿意学习或做事的主要原因是懒惰，而不是没有兴趣。

如何防治呢？

首要的是勤奋和认真，努力认真地去学就会有收获，就会有兴趣，也就不再以没兴趣为借口；其次，正确认识兴趣不是先天就有的，它是努力的结果，兴趣是后天培养的，是在实践活动中形成的，也是不断改变的。

（三）勤奋借口症

勤奋是学习成功的重要因素，但勤奋不是成功的唯一条件，要想成功除勤奋之外，还需要方法，内在动力等因素。有些学生片面强调勤奋的重要而不顾及其它重要因素，一旦考试失败，仍抱住勤奋不放，耗时间，死学习，以苦为安慰，以此为借口，说什么“我尽到努力了，学不好没办法”。有的学生学习废寝忘食，不辞辛苦，可称为“拼命三郎”，但效果如何却全不顾忌，只求心里安慰，“我尽力了！我拼命了！我无愧了！”我们说他们是患了勤奋借口症。

怎么防治勤奋借口症呢？

一是勤奋加方法，在勤奋的基础上讲究学习方法，提高学习效率；学会记忆和思考，提高学习质量；牢固掌握和灵活运用知识；加强自我调控能力，发挥主体精神等。总之，讲究学习方法和独立思考是防治勤奋症的一剂良药。

二是培养浓厚的学习兴趣。在勤奋和提高学习效率的条件下，体验学有所获的喜悦，能增强学习兴趣，兴趣浓学习效果更好。

三是激发深层次的学习动力，即进一步激发学生高层次的求知，创造和审美的需要。把学习当作自己高层次需要的满足，当作自己生命中不可缺少的部分，这个时候你的潜能的激发都能达到最高水平。只顾蛮干，盲学而不顾效果的勤奋借口症就能彻底治愈。善于思考，充满兴趣的勤奋，才是学习成功的基本保证。

（四）环境借口症

有些学生学习不努力，学习效果不好成绩差，不从自己的主观方面找原因，反而埋怨环境条件，把自己学习失败的原因全推向客观环境，此种思想越陷越深不能自拔，他们患了环境借口症，他们常抱怨学校条件差，生活也差，不能安心学习；也埋怨着教室不安宁，老师讲课听不懂；也有学生为家庭条件差而自卑，比不上别人有吃有穿有钱用等等，治疗此症有以下几种：

第一，正确对待环境。人很难要求环境适应自己，只能让自己适应环境。以积极的态度从外部环境条件中吸取有益养分，为我所用，不能只看到环境差的一面。正确态度就像特级教师魏书生所说：“改变自我，天高地阔；埋怨环境，天昏地暗，与己无补”。要记住求人不如求己。

第二，认清决定学习成败的因素，环境是重要因素之一，但起决定作用的是主观因素。外界环境是外因，人的主观因素是内因。治疗环境借口症首先得学会从自身找原因，然后是发挥自己的主观能动性，才能提高自己的学习效率。

第三，寻求良好的学习方法，提高学习能力和学习效率。如，学会记忆和思考，培养积极的自我概念，增强自信和自尊，发挥个体潜能和激发内心的动力等。
