（趁着喜儿放面粉拿小板凳的空，杨白劳偷偷从怀里拿出一根红头绳）

喜：（惊喜）红头绳。

黄世仁、穆仁智出场，杨白劳、喜儿正幸福地在屋里包着饺子
（穆仁智拿出一本账本，指着杨白劳的房子）
穆：少东家，这就是杨白劳的房子。
黄：恩，敲门啊！
穆：（踢门敲门）杨白劳！杨白劳！
杨：（满脸紧张）喜儿，快，快把面藏起来！
杨：（确认面藏好开门）少东家，您老人家怎么来了？
黄：（趾高气扬）杨白劳，大年三十张罗得挺热闹，咱今儿个来聊一聊。
（看到盘子里剩余的一点面粉）老杨哪，小日子过得还挺滋润嘛。面粉被你藏了，饺子也悄悄包了。
杨白劳，今儿个是大年三十了，咱的帐可不能再拖了。
杨：少东家，大雪封山十几天，家里没米没柴，连锅盖都不能揭啊。
穆：我管你有米无米，有柴无柴，（拿出账本摆在杨白劳眼前）你瞧瞧，去年欠五斗，今年又是五斗钱，五加五乘以五再乘以五，五五得一百二十五斗。
黄：嗯？
穆：哦，算错了，是一千二百五十斗。
杨：（被喜儿搀扶着摔倒在地）啊？
黄：（更加趾高气扬）杨白劳，你莫犯愁，我指一条明路给你走。来来来，指着眉头走，等这事一了解，咱的帐可就一笔勾销了？
杨：（迎上）什么办法？
黄：把你喜儿领来顶租子。
杨：（倒退几步）啊！
穆：你瞧瞧，你瞧瞧，这可是我们少东家的一片好心啊！这以后，你们家吃好的，穿好的，衣来伸手，水来张口，喜儿正当青春嫁，干脆让你们喜儿上我们少东家那得了！
杨：不行不行，喜儿可是我的命根子，我不能让你们带走我的喜儿！

（穆仁智手朝后一挥，一群打手出现在杨白劳面前）
杨：（本能地向后退）啊？

杨：（看了一眼卖身契，然后甩头）哼！
（黄世仁举起拐杖把杨白劳打倒在地上，穆仁智死命地拽住喜儿，黄世仁强迫倒地的杨白劳按了手印）
杨：（吃力地起身，指着黄、穆）逼债不成抢我女，世上哪有这等人啊！
喜：（跪倒在杨白劳脚前）爹！
黄：杨白老，你就好好过年吧！还不去把喜儿给我带走！
穆：是！
杨：我，我跟你们拼了！（杨白老使出全身力气推开步步逼近的穆仁智，然后拿起扁担和他们拼命）
（经过一番打斗，杨白劳被黄世仁活活打死，正在与穆仁智抢扁担的喜儿见爹爹倒地，奋力甩开扁担，哭倒在杨白劳面前，喜儿的哭天喊地惊动了乡亲们，乡亲们纷纷出来安慰喜儿，这时，黄世仁、穆仁智再次出场）
黄：欠债还钱，天经地义！
穆：这有什么不合的！
喜：你们这群恶霸，打死我爹，天理不容。
