古语有云“一年之计在于春,一日之计在于晨”,早晨是人的记忆高峰期,这个时候的朗读、背诵效果也是最好的。英语早读课是英语学习的第二课堂,是上好高效英语课的重要保障,也是英语课的延续和补充。是培养学生良好读书习惯的绝佳时间。然后,目前,我们早读课堂的有效性还存在一些不足。如何提高英语早读课的效率,如何激发学生的朗读兴趣,如何让我们的早读焕发活力?带着这些问题,今天我将结合我自己的教学体验和思考浅谈英语学科素养在早读课堂中的渗透。不对之处请大家批评指正。

我们现在的高一学生大部分都是2003年之后出生的,他们的生活态度和学习态度与我们有太大的差异,在与他们的交流中,我深刻理解了代沟的含义。同时,我也渐渐明白了如何更有效开展自己的教学工作。下面我们切入正题。

英语学科核心素养

语言能力:是指在社会情境中,以听、说、读、看、写等方式理解和表达意义的能力,包括在此过程中形成的语言意识和语感。值得注意的是,这里提到了语感一词,以前我总觉得语感这个词说出来不够专业,但让我惊讶的是竟然出现在了英语学科素养的四大要素中,这给我了强有力的理论支持,顿时我自信了许多。当然核心还是听说读写能力的培养,不过加了一个“看”字,我的理解应该是更加关注学生的英语阅读能力。

文化意识:指对中外文化的理解和对优秀文化的认同,是学生在全球化背景下表现出的跨文化认知、态度和行为取向。在之前多次的讲座中都有专家指出,现在的高考命题更加注重对中国传统文化的认同,所以我个人理解是希望英语教师指导学生在了解国外优秀文化的同时能够培养出一批用流利的英语弘扬我们中华优秀传统文化的英语人才。思维品质:指人的思维个性特征,反应其在思维的逻辑性、批判性、创新性等方面所表现的水平和特点。激发学生敢于质疑的勇气,善于提出新观点、新方法、新设想。并进行理性分析,做出独立判断。能突破常规思维,提出独特的解决方案,从而产生新颖的独到的思维成果。以上是我从百度上引用的理解,我个人认为思维品质是在潜移默化中形成的,需要各个学科的共同努力。就英语学科而言就是培养学生分析、推理、判断、理性表达、用英语进行多元思维等活动。

学习能力:指学生积极运用和主动调适英语学习策略,拓宽英语学习渠道,提升英语学习效率的意识和能力。对于学生来说培养英语学习的兴趣和习惯、找到适合自己的学习策略和培养学生英语思维是我们教学的重点。浓厚的兴趣和良好的习惯是前提,适当有效的学习策略是基础,用英语思维是英语学习的最高目标。

英语早读现状

学生: 1.习惯差

在平时的早读课中,很普遍的一个现象是,早读铃声已经响过,但只要老师还未到,班里真正开始早读的学生屈指可数。有的在聊天,有的在补作业,有的发呆,总之很少会有学生真正自觉地开始早读,总是要看到老师甚至等老师到其座位旁催促了才翻开书本早读。

此外,每当早读课老师走到教室外面,班里的早读声音就明显小了。不少学生是在为了应付早读的任务而有口无心地念着,更有个别学生,滥竽充数,注意力不集中,每次都翻着书到单词表第一页,装模作样地做样子,早读的纪律有老师在场和没老师在场完全两个样。45分钟的早读下来,毫无收获。这种现象充分说明相当一部分学生还没有形成一种良好的早读习惯,缺乏对早读的热情和积极性,将其当成了一项应付老师和学校的任务。长此以往,英语成绩更往下掉,直至完全能放弃,恶性循环。

2.无目标

我们的早读课时间是45分钟。然而据我观察和亲自了解,能真正做到读半个小时以上的学生都寥寥无几。大多数学生都停留在单词,课文的层面上,并不会主动有意识地给自己安排制定更多的计划。很多学生一开始是在卖力地读单词课文,一遍,两遍,但接下去就不知道该做什么,甚为迷惘。一味地重复,容易使得早读内容单一枯燥,滋生学生的厌烦情绪,绝对不容小视。

3.不会读

根据平时的留意和观察,很多学生英语语音有很大问题,虽然单词已经领读了很多遍,但还是有大量的单词不会读,打开单词表,发现没几个会读的,不知如何开口,更别说课文了,只能心灰意冷地发呆或者睡觉。

教师: 1.心太急

最近我一直在反思自己的早读,每次给学生布置早读任务时,总觉得单词表里的词汇学生都应该记住,希望学生一个早读下来既能把黑体单词背过,还能记住用法,甚至还能造几个简单的句子。可现实却很凄凉,一个早读下来10个黑体单词,能达到要求的寥寥无几。是学生太笨了吗?还是我的要求太高了?答案我想都是肯定的。我们总觉得学生应该能做到,可事实是他们的能力真没有我们想象的那么出众。所以,我们是不是可以降低一下要求,放慢一点节奏,这样我们和学生都会轻松点。

2.轻检测

在我个人看来,早读课效率不高除了学生的主观原因外,课堂上老师未能及时的反馈和检测也有影响。毕竟他们只是学生,而且还是比我们预期要差一点的学生,终究还是需要在一定的指导和督促下开展早读的,如果没有任何的检测和评价,学生便没有任何压力,自然也不会给自己制定相应的计划。因此,我个人觉得还是应该加强检测和评价。

英语早读课中的核心素养

结合英语核心素养的四大要素,我将分享我在早读课中以四大要素为指导,围绕听说读写这一核心开展的早读课堂实践。

1.语言能力

学生缺乏英语学习动力的根本原因是词汇量匮乏,无法进行正常的英语阅读和运用。因此,我在早读课中始终把词汇作为最主要的任务和检测内容。但是如果只是单纯的让学生记单词,学生很盲目,效果也不理想。因此,我会将单词氛围两类。第一类是黑体字单词和短语。要求班内90%以上的学生都要掌握拼写和意思。同时利用早读最后五分钟和课前五分钟进行反复检测。检测的形式会根据学生的掌握情况确定,一般刚开始会全班形式的提问和集体回答。课前,一般采用点名单个学生回答的形式。基本上这样的检测形式会贯穿整个单元。第二类我将单词表中常见的、汉语意思超过两个的词汇提前告知学生,要求学生会读并掌握汉语意思,检测采用我说英语学生写出单词及单词表中列出的汉语意思。每节早读课除单词记忆外,要求学生大声朗读第一篇Reading中重点讲解的长句和难句。检测形式为齐声朗读或点名朗读。在此基础上会根据实际所剩时间组织学生读笔记或复习上一单元黑体词汇。当然听力练习也会穿插在早读课中。总之所有的任务都分块化,尽量让学生的单次学习量减少,同时有任务必有检测。偶尔也会根据学生的状态听一首英文歌或者分享自己读到的英文名言。最近发现学生状态不太好,打算在抖音上学一些活跃气氛的小游戏。

2.思维品质

目前学生早读没声音的主要原因是不会读单词,因此音标的学习和音节的划分十分重要。此外对于句子成分的划分也是培养学生语感的有效策略。让学生学会断词和断句能够帮助他们更好的理解英语单词和句子的构成。在最开始学习音节和断句时我会要求学生做好标注,比如那几个字母组合经常发什么音,让他们都用笔标注出来,慢慢养成习惯,学生自己拼读的能力也就提高了。我想这也是学生英语思维品质的一种训练吧。3.文化意识

文化意识的提升其实我自己本身也还没有找到特别有效和系统的教学方法,我目前能够做到的就是在每一个节日到来的时候跟学生分享有关的英语知识,今后我设想着找一些短小的视频或者音频让学生们在听的过程中了解更多的中外优秀文化,提升他们的国际视野。4.学习能力

英语学习能力的提升关键是要让学生对英语从不反感到慢慢产生兴趣。在平时的早读课中,我经常变换指导策略。让学生的思维总是不断地变化。同时能够尽可能激发他们的学习兴趣。另外,我一直跟学生强调要不停地复习。我基本每周都会利用早读课的时间复习已经学过的词汇和举行,完全让他们自己去做复习工作往往容易流于形式,因此我坚持带着他们一起复习。我一直认为重复的次数越多记忆就会越深刻。总结一下,我在学生学习能力的培养上主要做了两个方面的努力:一是适时调整早读辅导策略激发学生兴趣,二是不断复习和巩固加深记忆。希望尽自己最大努力让学生慢慢适应英语的学习特点并养成良好的习惯。

以上分享的内容纯属个人见解,有些仍待时间的考证,总之,我将我的英语早读课堂策略总结为:明确任务、创造氛围、不时转转、不忘检测。我相信只要我们每位老师心态平和的看待这群思想奇特的学生,耐心的帮助他们培养良好的英语学习习惯,无论是早读课堂还是我们的其他课堂都会有让我们惊喜的收获。
