相比之下，在他口中被他咒骂连连的怪物，在自我觉醒时，反而更显人性的光辉。之后，主人公终于承担起责任，追击怪物，然而一切为时已晚。最后看到抛弃自己并追杀自己的造物者死去时，怪物居然还保留着感情与理智，对自己的行为再三反思。

小说最初是由书信体开始，主人公沃尔顿带领船员往北极去探险，在路上给姐姐写信，叙述见闻。中途遇到落魄的维克多弗兰肯斯坦，将他带到自己的船上。接下来就开始了弗兰肯斯坦以第一人称开始的自述。

因为日剧要翻拍，所以早早在图书馆借了来读。以为是一部科幻小说，乍一看更像自叙小说，而自叙当中居然还包含了他人的叙述，虽然都是第一人称叙事，但这种不停的在叙述人叙述的过程中插入另外一位叙述人的方式还挺有意思的。更重要的是，维克多的人生简直就是一部放在现代看也不会过时的电视剧啊，又有童养媳和骨科的梗，又有可进可退在生病时照顾他的好基友，更重要的是自己还能随手玩个模拟人生就捏出一个人工少年(大雾)，我也不知道我在说什么……

“只有身临其境的人，才能想象出科学的诱人之处。”

如果只看这句话，如果小说里的维克多一直有这样的心态，那这个小说真的就是单纯的科幻小说了，或者说可以成为在人物塑造方面很有特点的科普科学之美的.学生课外读物。

但它偏偏不是这样的一本小说啊!

创造出了人的科学家嫌自己创造的人丑，而且因为丑所以自然而然觉得世界上所有罪恶的事情都是这个丑陋的魔鬼所做，甚至把自己接连遭遇的不幸都怪罪于这个自己捏出来的人工少年。然后这个人工少年向维克多讲述了自己因为貌丑遭遇到的各种不公平待遇，并恳求维克多为他捏出一个同类姑娘，这样他就不用孤独终老啦!于是维克多在纠结和害怕中答应了这样的要求，并且推迟了与骨科表妹结婚的日子，更重要的是还能抽出时间在欧洲顺便游山玩水一番，一边思考着怎么捏小人，一边嫌弃自己的工作——恕我直言，你捏的时候就不能下个MOD给对方一张好脸吗?更重要的是，到最后眼看着成品就要捏出来了居然又因为人工少年的一个眼神就变得宁死不屈，硬生生读出了一种为了保护地球、保护人类的大义凛然。所以，丑陋的魔鬼决定要将魔鬼贯彻到底，接下来，维克多所有的幸福都被这个魔鬼扼杀，包括基友、包括童养媳。原因无他，因为爱啊!

名著之所以为名著，必定是因为它有很多即便放在现在来看都可以称之为是新颖的地方。比如，看到最后你会发现，原来这位捏出来的人工少年对他的创造者居然怀着这样深沉的爱意。说什么世界第一部科学幻想小说，果然啊，论腐，我只服英国作家!

在看话剧之前，认为有必要把原作看一遍，加之看了那么多同学的repo，想要一睹为快的心情就更加强烈，于是在6月这个忙碌的月份，我还是从容地看起了《弗兰肯斯坦》。

玛丽的文字是精炼而优雅的，很多文字都用心选择过，用词也很符合她浪漫主义诗人妻子的身份，烂漫又深刻，很好地表达文意，没有太多的口水文。

我用了一天的时间一口气读完了弗兰肯斯坦和他的怪物的故事，只想用“毁灭”来概括，维克多怎么毁了他的生活，怎么毁了身边人的生活，怎么毁了怪物的生活，一个幸福的生活怎么走向毁灭，维克多告诉我们，因为对知识的沉迷，对雄心的无法克制，对丑恶的不能忍受。

我对维克多的感情是纠结的，我怪罪他，他太过于乌托邦的幻想，太天真的抱负，使得他走向了自以为能和主对抗的道路。他终于创造出了生命，却是如此丑陋的怪物——这是对他的惩罚，也是对他的考验，可惜他还是敌不过上帝。他对怪物难以忍受，母亲对孩子的温情，维克多丝毫没有，他只想摆脱这个怪物。罪恶的人类，自以为是的人类，他们害怕怪物，想当然地以为丑陋的面庞下藏着一颗肮脏的害人的心，他们怎么没有想到，他们自己比怪物还要残忍，他们的楚楚衣冠下有着一颗偏见的心，罪恶的心，他们才是该受惩罚一方。

对怪物，我是恨不起来的。这个可怜的家伙，从出生伊始，被母亲嫌弃，被旁人唾骂，他是过街的老鼠，他甚至连错都还没来得及犯，就已经开始承受人们的偏见。他需要躲藏起来，因为他知道这样会吓到别人;他需要学习，因为这样他才能生存;他需要朋友，这样他才不会孤独。这一切，本该是维克多给予他的，却需要他向这个素未谋面的世界一点点学习、索取。他终于生气了，他终于选择了报仇，因为该死的人类没有一个愿意静下来听他好好解释，他们只会叫喊，只会攻击，多么自私啊!我为怪物伤心难过，那一段长长的自白，也换不来维克多的同情，他只是不想太孤独，维克多也不肯给他……最后，当维克多追他到极地，至死也不放过他，我心碎了，怪物失去了这世上唯一与他有联系的人，从此，再无人听他说话，再无人敢直视他。而即使如此，他还是被恨着的，不可饶恕的。
