英语面试流程大同小异

目前,随着新一轮大学毕业生求职高峰的到来,备战英语面试正逐渐成为很多毕 业生的求职重点工作之一。新橙英语培训中心专业商务面试课程教师chie介绍说,英语面试的方法因公司与工作的不同而有所不同,但基本流程是差不多的。
英语面试一般包括三轮
chie介绍说,第一轮面试一般由公司人力资源部的人员担任考官,他们会从你的个人简历出发,询问一些有关个人的问题,比如请你用英语做一个自我介绍。有些公司也会有一部分英语笔试,主要考查应聘者基本的语言运用能力。
第二轮面试则由部门主管经理出面,这时候有关业务方面的问题成了面试的重点,所以英语面试也从个人情况转向了专业领域。比如应聘市场部,则应聘者通常会被要求谈一谈以往最成功的一个案例,或者自身的业务强项等。
如果前面都很顺利,那么,最后一轮面试一般就是和公司的总裁面对面了。外企的总裁一般是老外,当然面试就变成全英语的了。总裁询问的问题一般会和公司的精神、企业文化有关。
面试中最需要自信
普华永道人力资源部经理姜周红介绍说,一般在进行英语面试时,多是希望考查应聘者听说读写的实际操作能力。小组讨论是英语面试的重要一环,一般来说,小组讨论形式的面试其目的主要是要了解应聘者在团体中的工作反应。进一步说,面试官更多的是希望了解应聘者面对指责的态度。
姜周红说,在外企的面试中,除了笔试之外,面试中的英语部分以考查应用能力为主,所以应聘者在面试当中最需要的是自信、敢说。不妨尽量采用简短明了的词汇来表达自己的意思。另外,切忌在面试当中抬高自己贬低别人。回答问题尽量自然,并作为小组成员之一在自己的负责范围内答题,也不要重复其他应聘者的答案。说话要流利,思维要连贯,层次要清晰,不要夹杂中文,可以用“well”、“however”这样的过渡词来给自己停顿和思考,同时,也使得自己的表述显得口语化一些。
面试前了解一下企业文化
新橙英语培训中心专业商务面试课程教师chie建议说,学生的先期准备主要是个人情况和业务方面。专业英语的准备要充足,有时会被要求用英语解释一个专业术语或解答一个技术问题。所以,在面试前不妨去公司的英文网站了解一下企业文化,这对与老板面谈会有帮助的。
chie介绍说,英语面试目前的趋势是通常设在一个类似于接待室的地方,而非特别准备的会场,由2-3个人负责面试。
外国人作为考官进行面试时,由于他们与我们的思维方式、习惯以及文化有所差别,因此必须熟悉他们的理解方式和语言表达方式。不同公司对外语水平的要求不同,有的只具备用外语接听电话的水平即可,也有的要求用外语从事一般性工作。因此,应聘者必须准确了解应聘公司的外语使用程度和目的等信息后,再做出相应的对策。

中规中矩----Intel 招聘三部曲
英特尔公司的招聘比较常规化,或者说有点循规蹈矩。它的招聘工作基本上是按下面三个步骤进行的。同时这也是西方跨国企业招聘管理人员的一般过程。
首先是初步面试。通常,初步面试由公司的人力资源部主管主持进行,通过双向沟通,使公司方面获得有关应聘者学业成绩、相关培训、相关工作经历、兴趣爱好、对有关职位的期望等直观信息,同时,也使应聘人员对公司的目前情况及公司对应聘者的未来期望有个大致了解。面试结束后,人力资源部要对每位应聘人员进行评价,以确定下一轮应试人员的名单。
具体操作是:1、就应聘者的外表、明显的兴趣、经验、合理期望、职务能力、教育、是否马上能胜任、过去雇佣的稳定性等项目从低1分到高10分打分。2、就职务应考虑的优缺点,如对以前职务的态度、对生涯或职业期望等作具体评议。所有应聘者提供的书面材料也供评价参考。
接着是进行标准化的心理测试。由公司外聘的心理学者主持进行。通过测试以进一步了解应聘人员的基本能力、素质和个性特征,包括人的基本智力、认识思维方式、内在驱动力等,也包括管理意识、管理技能技巧。
目前,这类标准化的心理测试主要有《16种人格因素问卷》、《明尼苏达多项人格测验》、《适应能力测验》、《欧蒂斯心智能力自我管理测验》、《温得立人事测验》等等。心理测试的评价结果只是供最后确定人选提供参考依据。
第三步是进行“模拟测验”。这是决定应聘人员是否入选的关键。其具体做法是,应聘者以小组为单位,根据工作中常碰到的问题,由小组成员轮流担任不同角色以测试其处理实际问题的能力。整个过程由专家和公司内部的高级主管组成专家小组来监督进行,一般历时两天左右,最后对每一个应试者做出综合评价,提出录用意见。“模拟测验”的最大特点是应聘者的“智商”和“情商”都能集中表现出来,它能客观反映应聘者的综合能力,使企业避免在选择管理人才时“感情用事”,为今后的发展打好基础。
全面透彻----GE之CIDS面谈法
CIDS(chronological in-depth structured interview)即为“按时间顺序的深入面试”。CIDS 面试没有采取调查求职者最近职位的典型做法,而是提出这样的问题:“谈一谈你现在职位的情况以及你正在寻找什么样的职位。”这种面试采取的是一种按时间顺序的做法,从一个人最初的事业开始,也许从求学时代开始。内容十分全面,包括这个人做过什么样的工作以及他的工作表现如何。问题涉及候选人获得的具体表扬和成就,但还要谈到遭遇过的失败和犯过的错误。并且,还包括很有效的 TORC 方法(查询推荐人),主要是问:“如果我打算请你安排我和你的旧老板面谈一次,而且那位老板对我直言不讳,你猜想一下老板对你的优缺点以及整体表现会说些什么?”如果一个人曾经干过十份工作,面试时就要弄清楚什么东西能使这个人发挥自己的长处,以及怎样才能让这个人在下一个工作岗位上发挥才干。
增效减负----爱立信之业务外包法
爱立信对应聘者不做应试性质的考试,而是进行全面素质的考察。一般会使用一个考察工具,按照这个工具开发出面试的问卷,再加上一些考察环节,形成了完整的面试考察体系。测试应聘者的“预示指数”也是其中一个环节,它甚至可以测试出候选人是否诚实地回答了问题。当然,这些考察大部分是定性的,并且没有对与错之分。
由于面试工作量很大,爱立信自己的HR部门一般不做具体工作,而是交给一些合作公司或其他外企去做。通常,这些公司会对有效简历进行第一轮筛选,选出专业与空缺职务相吻合的应聘者,进入第二轮面试。
在第二轮面试时,根据不同职务,会有不同考察。例如,在业务方面,业务部门经理负责业务专业知识的考察。不同经理可能会有不同方式,有的经理可能会问“你在工作中怎么处理突发事件?”,有的经理可能会把应聘者带到现场直接处理技术故障,还有的经理会采用书面考察的形式。
清晰明了----朗讯之打分制
在中国,朗讯主要需要两类人才:一是技术研究开发人员,一是市场销售与行政人员。对于技术研究开发人员,朗讯倾向于在应届毕业生中挑选人才。技术人员的招聘没有笔试。朗讯的招聘程序非常严谨,把应聘者的每一个表现都量化,亦即实行打分制度。朗讯考察的重点有两个方面:一种是专用技能,例如主考官可能会关心应聘者的专业和工作背景及经验,你对所申请的工作所具备的技能。就这些方面主考官会问一些问题,而每个问题会有3个等级的打分。另一个非常重要的考察值是朗讯的文化尺度行为:GROWS,看应聘者是否能够适应朗讯的文化。简单地讲,GROWS包含5个方面,G代表全球增长观念,R代表注重结果,O代表关注客户和竞争对手,W代表开放和多元化的工作场所,S代表速度。就这5个不同方面,主考官会问不同的问题,比如你怎样解决工作中的困难?你有没有在与别人竞争的情况下完成工作?还有你如何提高自己的工作效率?如何团结周围的员工?每一个人面试时都会有两个面试官,他们会在每一项问答里面评注和打分。应试者可能被标记为优势明显、需要一定培训、不足等等,最后面试官会通过这些问话的打分,将技能经验打分与GROWS打分填到招聘矩阵中,来确定你是否符合朗讯的要求。朗讯将这种测试称为行为和技能测试。
在招聘应届毕业生时,情况会有所不同。朗讯会让应届毕业生用英文做45分钟的演讲,这道关卡的意义非常清楚,45分钟的演讲会暴露很多问题。如果应聘技术职位,朗讯会让应聘者专门针对他做过的课题,进行技术方面的演讲。朗讯的招聘一般有“科学家”参加,这是他们对贝尔实验室技术专家的特别称谓。这种面试会有两个科学家和一个研究人员旁听,考察应聘者技术领域的知识。而上述的行为测试主要是对他们过去的经历进行行为科学分析,来判断一个人的综合素质,例如思辩能力、分析能力、沟通能力,以及思维和情绪特点。主考官有一些标准的问话,半个小时的面谈,注重考察应聘者怎么处理以前发生的问题。什么样的回答打2分,什么样的回答打3分,都有明确的规定。最后行为和技能面试的总分成为是否录用的依据,通过矩阵非常清楚地显示出来。
