如何加强小学生英语的听读训练

敏锐的外语语感是学好外语的重要条件,也是一个人语言素质的重要标志。但它是在语言活动中发展而来的,并且是建立在语言内容而不是语言形式基础上的。所以从起始年级开始,老师就要有目的、有意识、有步骤地引导学生练听练读,培养外语语感。
练听,具体可分四个步骤:(1)模仿跟读阶段。让学生通过听录音或听老师读,模仿正确的语音或语调,适当讲解意群、连续、弱读、清辅音浊化等语言特征和现象;(2)辩音会意阶段。可以是一组组的单词(如ship/sheep;it/eat;Miss/Mrs;T/G等),也可以是一组组的句子(如:Is this box?/Is this bus?/Are they students?/Are there students?/The glass is small/The class is small等)。在此阶段教师除加工语言材料之外,还要有意识地让学生在识别数字、时间、日期等方面作专项训练;(3)技能训练阶段。本阶段主要是以情景会话和短文理解作为听力材料。以上三个阶段应为教师控制下的听力训练;(4)智能培养阶段。即指导学生独自去听录音、广播。这阶段应属非控制下的听力训练。老师要为学生创造条件,如翻录磁带、告诉学生可以收听什么波段或频率的英语广播等。
练读。语言材料要多读,尤其是课文——规范化的阅读,即可以在理解的基础上出声地朗读,也可以采取默读的方式进行思考。精妙之处要圈圈点点,一方面注意句子结构,另一方面通过语词激发唤起有关表象、再造想象以及各种联想;或者在情感上引起强烈共鸣,或者运用语境和自己的体验品味出言外之意或弦外之音。当然,老师首先应从方法上引导。
人们常说:熟读成诵。诵,我想就是能够背诵,它属于读的高级阶段。旧时私塾先生常常强迫学童背《三字经》、《四书》、《五经》等,以达到“书读到百遍,其意自见”的目的。我想背外文也同样如此。只要长期坚持背诵大量语篇(包括对话),就基本上能掌握英语的“语序”和“一般结构”,在接受外界语言刺激时就有较高的“预期能力”,即只听清对方的个别词语就能感悟一句话,甚至下面要说的内容。有了这种“预期能力”,语感也就形成了。
