Indian FM kicks off 2-day China visit

Indian Minister of External Affairs Salman Khurshid will start a two-day visit to China on Thursday, which experts said demonstrates both sides' maturity to deal with border disputes and emphasis on relationship development.The trip comes days after an end of a three-week border standoff between the two countries.Khurshid is scheduled to meet Premier Li Keqiang and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Beijing.A Foreign Ministry spokeswoman on Wednesday said China and India have “timely and properly” solved the standoff in accordance with the common interests and wishes of both sides.“The Chinese side always believes that healthy and stable relations between the two emerging economies are in line with the two peoples' interests and peace of Asia and the world,” Hua Chunying, the spokeswoman, said at a news conference.Frictions over the boundary had mounted after Indian media claimed that Chinese defense troops “trespassed on Indian territory” in the western sector of the disputed border area in mid-April.3

Equalizing educational opportunities

[1]A recent newspaper story describes the Gaojin No.3 Middle School, a typical public school in Shanghai.The story contained the following quote from the Yu Haizhou, head of the school: “We know this could be seen as prejudice but the fact is, on average, the migrant children are at a lower level in their studies and are a lot more difficult to teach due to their poor living conditions.They move from place to place, change schools often and most of their parents do not pay enough attention to their education.”

[2]Here are a few more salient facts about the school.The migrant children Yu described use lower-level textbooks than their mainstreamed counterparts.The students eat and leave school at different times during the day than the other children.They attend classes in a separate school building.[3]Yu explained why his school placed the children in separate classrooms at the school.He enumerated pressures he felt from parents of the mainstream students to not water down the curriculum.[4]The newspaper story also included quotes from one of the children at the school who was a member of the targeted migrant group, an advocate for those children, and a sociology professor.The student described a “distinct discrimination against us.” The advocate warned that the segregation psychologically impacts both groups of students negatively, but the sociologist professed that under the current conditions the separation of students was rational.[5]Education in China is compulsory for nine years, but many migrant children are denied services at public schools or asked to pay exorbitant fees in cities like Beijing and Shanghai because their parents do not have residency permits.Laws in those cities now require that the children be allowed to go to school regardless of their family’s residency status.The sad reality is that many migrant children are not enrolled in public school, many public schools do not welcome them and many children do not complete nine years of education.[6]Clearly, even at a school like Gaojin Middle School, which is attempting to educate both the migrant children and Shanghai’s resident children, there is a long way to go before those groups have the same chance to succeed.[7]If China does not wish to become two societies, one for people of means and another for poor people, the country must strive to equalize educational opportunities for everyone.[8]China’s leaders recognize that and have identified education as a national priority.[9]Last Wednesday, at a national education conference in Beijing, President Hu Jintao said that the whole society should be mobilized to support the country’s education development.[10]At the same conference, Premier Wen Jiabao stressed that schools must promote equal access to education as the first of several educational priorities he listed.[11]A society’s success is judged not by how well it provides for its richest citizens but by how well it can provide for all its citizens.In that regard, the challenge is to try and provide all students a similarly rich set of academic opportunities.From chinadaily.com.cn, July, 2010

对和效电建储备的春节保电设备进行了试验,保证设备合格可用。

生产部专工对已处理的发热缺陷进行了一轮监督检查,保证消缺质量。专兼职司机对生产车辆进行了一次全面检查维护,保证车况良好。1月10日铜川1#主变接火,保证春节期间变电站全方式运行。

走访方面:在走访过程中,部分零售客户有资料袋丢失和资料丢失的现象,已经在走访过程中及时补上,其他都较为正常,零售客户所反映的问题还是之前关于红金龙(硬黄佳品)限量导致不够卖的事情。

市场方面:从这周的库存盘点来看,大部分零售客户家里外省烟,以及黄鹤楼(软蓝)的库存储存量较大,而且这种数量随着订烟政策的问题还在不断加大,这些零售客户中有部分也因为库存较大,资金得不到较好的周转,开始减少卷烟订购量,更甚至低价出售卷烟好让资金回笼。

销量方面:与上周销量基本相差不多,最主要的原因还是由于红金龙(硬黄佳品)限量的问题和襄樊学院放假所导致的。

如何培养学生的上课听讲习惯

课堂学习是学生学习知识发展能力的主渠道,而听课是学生课堂学习的中心环节。培养学生学会听课,不仅可以有效地提高课堂效率,而且可以培养学生良好的学习习惯,使他们受益终身。因此,如何培养学生良好的听课习惯,让学生积极主动地投入40分钟的学习与活动就显得尤为重要。.一、明确要求,让学生知道认真听课

认真听课包括两方面,一是认真听老师讲课,另外是认真听同学发言。学生的自我控制能力很差,注意力容易分散,经常会发生听课“走神”的现象。因此,在课堂教学过程中应十分注意观察每一个学生,不时用鼓励、表扬、眼神提示等方式吸引学生注意力。其次还利用学生喜欢的游戏、竞赛活动来让学生集中注意力,引导学生认真听老师讲课,听别人发言,如:开火车游戏,竞赛活动有:同桌同学、组与组之间,男生和女生之间进行竞赛等。除此之外,有目的地进行提问,既可以吸引学生的注意力,又可以有效地进行教学。另外同学之间发言后鼓励学生进行互相评价、对别人的发言给予补充。通过这样的训练,学生能尽快集中精力投入学习,认真上好每一堂课。我觉得只有先培养好学生良好的专心听课习惯,才能逐步增强课堂学习的效果。

二、创设佳境,让学生愿意认真听课

“亲其师而信其道”,要使学生亲其师,教师首先对学生要倾注满腔的热情和爱心。走上讲台,教师饱满的情绪和充满激情的言语会让学生的听课情绪为之一振。在民主、和谐、开放的氛围中,学生的求知热情和投入教学活动的专注力才能得以提高。

其次,课堂上不断变化课堂的节奏和频率,也可以检查出哪些孩子在认真听讲,哪些不是,让学生找不到机会也没有时间去开小差。在平时教学中我常突然问:“刚才我提出了什么问题?”“他刚才是怎么说的?”这样训练对学生的专注力提出了进一步的要求。常时间这样训练,学生不得不听,逐渐达到专心听讲。

另外,教学语言力求儿语化和趣味性,激发学生认真听讲的兴奋点。小学生好奇、好动、注意力容易分散,持久性差。在实践中我体会到这是直接影响学生听课效率的重要原因之一。为了使学生的注意力保持相对的稳定我在教学过程中运用灵活巧妙地讲课方法吸引学生的注意力。数学教学内容本身比较抽象、枯燥,如果教学语言生涩、呆板,学生学起来就乏味、疲倦,很难保持高度的注意力。因此,教学语言在精炼、准确的同时,更要生动、活泼;增加形象思维的色彩。

三、时刻提醒,让学生坚持认真听课

老师提出要求后学生不可能马上适应或改变,教师要不断地引导和督促以及积极的鼓励、评价才会初见效果。当看到学生听课有一些进步时,教师不吝啬表扬与积极的评价,对调动学生学习积极性有举足轻重的作用。一个赞美的眼神,一个满意的微笑,一句鼓励的言语,都散发着情感的动力。

如在课中我常常这样说:看XX同学听的多认真,坐的多端正,相信大家也一定能与XX同学一样,坐端正,认真听讲。有时这样说:会听讲、就是会学习,我们的学习效果是和认真听课紧紧联系在一起的,希望你做一个会听讲的学生,相信你的成绩会很棒的等。教师要善于抓住良好的时机让学生感受到良好听课习惯的重要性。就拿我班的吕文豪同学来说,刚开学上课时他老是不注意听讲,开小差,做小动作,经常需要老师的提醒。在好几次的课堂提问时,他都一言不发。过后我与他进行交流,才知道是因为他当时没听讲,根本不知道老师提的什么问题,然后我给他讲不认真听讲的危害,告诉他只要上课认真听讲,相信他会与其他同学一样棒。在后来的学习中,他上课能认真听讲了,还积极举手发言,正确的回答提问。我一次次地鼓励他,我看到了他自信的眼神。这不仅让他品尝到了好习惯带来的成功与喜悦,也让其他孩子深刻地体会到良好听课习惯的重要性。

学生良好习惯的养成需要经历一定的时间,并且有的学生可能会出现反复,当看到学生的听课习惯不尽如人意时老师也决不放松、得过且过。课堂上教师可以采用暗示的方法矫正学生不良的听课习惯。教师把严峻、期待的目光落在不专心听课的学生身上,与之目光交触,引起学生警觉,使他意识到老师在用目光警示自己,应该收敛言行,认真听课。如用目光暗示的方法学生注意力仍然集中不起来,教师可以停下来,课堂上突然的停顿也会使开小差的学生知道老师是在提醒自己。这招再不行,老师就很有必要走下讲台,以巡回讲课的方式,悄然走到不认真听课的学生身边,轻轻地摸一摸他的头,让他意识到老师已知道他在做小动作等,鞭策其端坐静听和思考,强制守纪听好课。

四、勤于动脑,让学生主动听课

思维是智慧的源泉,没有思维就没有知识的理解、消化和升华,所以我在培养学生认真听讲的同时,一定要鼓励学生多动脑,积极思考。教育心理学的研究表明,在学习中,如果一个人的思维能够始终处于积极状态,那么,他的注意也就一定能够在较长时间内保持高度的集中。

任何习惯都是从小养成的。如果学生没有良好的听课习惯,即使教师的课讲得再精彩或学生有良好的天赋也很难达到预期的效果,而习惯的培养是经过师生长期的努力而形成的,良好的听课习惯是提高教学质量的重要手段,特别是从小开始培养孩子好的学习习惯,就必须从他们的听课抓起。

总之,在课堂教学过程中,培养学生良好的学习习惯的过程是艰苦的,老师需要注意以下几方面的问题:

1、不要同时培养太多习惯。有的人想一口吃成胖子,把所有的学习习惯同时培养,结果事与愿违,效果不佳。当然习惯培养太单调也不好,要在学生能接受的前提下,进行立体培养效果会好些。

2、忌“黑瞎子掰棒子”式的习惯培养。学习习惯可以一个一个地培养,也可以同时培养几个,但绝不可以培养了这个忘了那个。培养的习惯要经常运用,最终形成习惯网络,使我们的学生各个方面都有好习惯。

3、善待出现错误的同学。在学习过程中出现错误在所难免。如果出现错误就进行批评,就会在讨论和回答问题的时候装腔作势,假装会了,学生发言的积极性就会降低,就不敢说真话。事实上回答出一个错误的问题正好提供了一个讨论的机会。对他为什么会这样回答,根源出现在什么地方弄明白,对学生更有好处。

4、莫怕影响教学成绩。“磨刀不误砍柴工”,在学生习惯培养过程中,短时间内可能会影响到学生的学习成绩,但一段时间下来,不但会赶上,而且还会超过原有的水平。再说教学成绩并不比培养良好的学习习惯重要。

5、培养学生学习习惯要有耐心,要有持之以恒的态度。有的老师在培养学习习惯的时候,少则一节课两节课,多则一两个星期,学习习惯没培养起来就说什么“朽木不可雕也”,学习习惯不可能培养起来。有那些时间还不如讲几个题管用。甚至有人说培养学生学习习惯等于耽误时间。这是一种急功近利的思想,是要不得的,是不科学的。培养学生的学习习惯是一个长期的过程,短时间很难见效益,但是一旦培养成功,那么不但能提高教学成绩,更难能可贵的是让学生学会了学习,将会有重要的社会效应,这是我们教学的根本所在。

6、孩子各种良好的学习习惯其实是一个有机的整体,它们之间是有必然的联系的。如核心的学习习惯与辅助的学习习惯之间的有机结合,才能说是真正的良好的学习习惯,两种缺一都是不完整的。再如听、说、思的习惯,三者是相辅相成,互不可缺的。只有上课认真听,积极思考才会回答问题。因此只有各种习惯有机的配合,才能真正养成良好的学习习惯。
