第一篇:外语学院英语专业毕业论文大纲

一、总纲

毕业论文,是大学本科教学的最后一个环节。是对整个大学阶段学习的回顾与总结,是学生综合能力的体现,也是对学生的一次语言及相关科学研究的一次基本训练,因此,要求学生以高度认真负责的态度对待此项工作。

做好毕业论文的指导工作是整个大学教学和教育的重要和必要内容,也是理论教学的重要组成部分。每一位教师都要以高度的社会责任感和敬业精神投入到此项工作中去,指导学生顺利完成毕业论文任务。

二、毕业论文的阶段及要求

论文工作主要分以下几个阶段:准备(资料的收集与整理、阅读文献)、撰写提纲、第一稿、第二稿、第三稿、定稿与答辩。

(一)准备:学生可以自由选择研究范围(语言、文学、文化、社会问题、应用英语、经济、贸易、科技、社会生活等),但要在教师的指导下对研究对象进行资料的收集整理和分析来确定毕业论文题目。

(二)撰写提纲:

学生在指导教师的指导下分析和研究所采集的资料的基础上,撰写毕业论文提纲。同时也要求每一位指导教师在学生形成毕业论文提纲前一定要与每位被指导的学生进行讨论,毕业论文提纲应尽量做到全面缜密,理顺所要论述内容,避免以后反复修改。

(三)第一稿:要求学生必须严格按照指导教师审定后的毕业论文提纲进行写作,不可自行其是,随意更换主题。第一稿完成以后,指导教师主要检查学生是否按照既定的提纲和思想在写作,及时发现问题及时纠正。如学生采取不认真的态度,指导教师应对其提出严肃的批评教育,拒不接受者,指导教师有权提出相应的处理意见,或交学院毕业论文工作小组处理。如果指导教师不认真指导,随意放学生过关,以后阶段出现的问题由该教师本人负责。

(四)第二稿:要求学生不仅要继续补充第一稿之不足,同时要求在表达上要有所提高。在接到第二稿以后,指导教师阅读后应指出存在的问题,以便学生及时改正。

(五)第三稿:要求学生在文风、文章格式、修辞等方面有所提高。指导教师要对第三稿进行全面的审阅,并提出修改意见,以保证定稿打印时所有的错误和疏漏都得到更正,错误率控制在规定范围内。同时,教师还要提醒学生在打印前再校对,以保证尽可能地将正确的版本打印出来。

(六)毕业论文答辩:毕业论文的答辩是毕业论文工作的最后阶段,要求学生予以充分的准备和重视。论文答辩前,学生们必须充分熟悉论文,答辩时,要求学生能脱稿进行5~10分钟的毕业论文内容的陈述,并流利、准确地回答答辩委员提出的问题。在答辩过程中,参加答辩的教师要对答辩人的语言技能(语音、语法、词汇、语用)、口笔头能力、论文内容和答辩的表现进行认真纪录,客观公正地评分。

二、毕业论文的内容:

毕业论文的内容可以涉及语言知识、与语言有关的问题(如,语言教学、文化等)和相关专业的知识和内容(如经济、贸易、管理、市场营销等)。其他内容,须经论文审题小组集体审定。学生有选择的论文内容的自由,指导教师可以提出建议,但不能代替学生做出决定。论文内容要能反映社会和时代特征,具有理论价值或实践意义,有新颖性。论文可以对某个理论问题的探讨,也可以是实践问题的解决。论文不仅要反映学生的综合能力,而且要反映他们对相关问题的较为正确的论述,要有一定的独立见解。论文必须做到主题明确、论据清晰、内容具体而充实,切忌空谈。写翻译的论文,除实例分析外,还要提供原文的译文,以便弄清译论的依据。如果论文是实践性的,它必须提出一定的解决途径、方案。

三、毕业论文的评审:

指导教师在对论文评定成绩时,要参照学生的学习成绩、平时表现出的语言水平和专业八级考试的成绩,以正确衡量学生真实的语言和认识水平。指导教师对学生的毕业论文成绩提出异议,如不被采纳,可提交学院毕业论文工作小组商议和仲裁。指导教师如发现学生的毕业论文有抄袭现象,应及时向学生指出,学生若不接受批评,指导教师应提交到学院毕业论文工作小组处理,严重者取消论文资格。指导教师应杜绝送分的做法,也不可因个人原因影响对学生论文评价的客观性和公正性。

四、论文的格式:

论文的规格:正文长度5,500—8,500单词。

使用的语言:英语

论文分题目、引言、正文、参考文献、致谢等部分。

引文要注明出处。直接引用要加引号,间接引文要以转述的方式出现。然后以括号把引文来源写清楚:(作者名,年份,引文所在页码)

论文正文部分:

1、题目大写,三号字,新时代罗马字,大写下面可写一个附标题,4号字;

2、作者名,5号字,班级,学号

3、指导教师名,5号字,职称

4、摘要:用300词,5号字,英文一页,中文一页

5、关键词:不能用专有名词,词与词之间空四格(或一个Tab键),不加标点符号

6、正文:用5号字,大部分标题用5号字黑体、小部分、小小部分。大部分用罗马字,小不分用一般数字符号:

引言:引入正题,不超过2段

五、毕业论文质量标准

(一)选题恰当、与毕业生的知识水平与认识能力相当;

(二)内容丰富、资料翔实、论证充分有力;

(三)观点正确、逻辑性强、无违反国家大政方针的观点;

(四)叙述清楚、层次清晰而丰富;

(五)语言表达正确,无拼写错误、语言错误控制在20-25%00(万分之二十到二十五);

(六)用词、造句、谋篇、布局等方面无明显失误,修辞错误率控制在2%。

外语学院英语专业毕业论文撰写要求及注意事项

一、论文选题

学生根据自己所长在“语言、文化、文学、翻译、教学”等方面初步拟定一 个题目,也可从指导教师小组给出的题目中选用一个。所选的题目必须经指导教师同意后方可广泛收集与论文有关的资料。在此基础上填写《西南政法大学本科毕业论文开题报告书》。

二、论文撰写

1.在正式撰写论文前,须事先拟定一个提纲(outline)交与指导教师,经导师修正后方可正式开始撰写。

2.论文要求用英语撰写,字数要求3000—5000单词。

3.撰写中学生要尊重指导教师,主动接受导师的检查和指导,定期向导师汇报论文的进度和存在的问题,保证毕业论文反映出自己最高水平。

4.独立完成论文各环节的工作,严禁抄袭和请人代替完成毕业论文。严禁从网上直接下载他人文章作为自己的毕业论文。以上情况一经发现,其毕业论文一律按不及格处理。

5.所写论文应立意新颖,内容充实,论据充分,结论可信。

三、论文撰写格式

1.论文题目(英文,应简短、明确、有概括性)2.作者姓名(汉语拼音,如:Zhang Junjie)3.作者所在学院(英文)、邮编

4.摘要(英文,应高度概括论文的内容、方法和观点,以及取得的成果和结论,反映整个论文的精华。要客观陈述、独立成文,200词左右。)

9.注释:注释是对论著正文中某一特定内容的进一步解释或补充说明。毕业论文的注释统一采用脚注,每页按先后顺序单独编号,在正文的相关处用上标表明,用数字加圆圈标注(如①,②……)。

四、论文交稿时间

第7学期学生需与指导教师联络一次,初步拟定论文题目。第8学期第4周交初稿;第6周填写中期检查表,第12周学生上交定稿。第14周教师完成评阅工作。不按时交论文定稿而影响论文成绩者,其后果由学生自己承担。

五、论文交稿要求

毕业论文要求交打印稿,一式三份。优秀毕业论文一式四份。所有论文在下学期第十六周用英语进行论文答辩。

外语学院英语专业2011届毕业生毕业论文指导教师注意事项

一、指导教师接到任务后,请与本周内召集所带学生开预备会,制定论文写作的时间表,并且指导学生学习“外国语学院英语专业本科毕业论文撰写规范”文件(见外语学院网站下载专区)。

二、指导学生在三周之内完成开题工作:包括确定论文题目、审阅论文提纲、填写开题报告和任务书。

三、开题报告中“毕业设计(论文)工作计划安排”一栏统一填写:

第七学期第14周:确定论文写作方向。

第八学期第5—6周:交论文提纲,完成开题工作。

第7—11周:写初稿,并准备教务处中期抽查。

第11周末:完成初稿,交指导老师审阅。

第12—14周:根据指导老师意见修改初稿,完成第二、三稿。第14—15周:论文定稿,印刷、装订(一式3份)。

任务书中“进度安排”一栏应与此相一致。

四、指导教师应严格审阅学生所填的开题报告、任务书各个部分内容,并签署指导教师意见。尤其注意提醒学生注意:在写作过程中,若论文题目用词作了调整,开题报告、任务书中的标题也要随时更新。

五、针对考研同学,指导教师可单独制定时间表,但必须在放假前完成开题,各类表格填写完整。

六、中期检查表和过程管理表(可在外语学院网站下载专区下载)可提前让学生填写,日期应以下学期为准。

七、由于学生写作态度恶劣,或研究水平极低、或英文语言极差等原因,指导教师可决定中止对其指导,并将写出书面报告及时上报,由学院做出进一步处理,指导教师工作量不受影响。

注:整个论文写作过程中,学生和老师都应建立专门文件夹,把论文内容及各种表格、文件等保存电子版,做到随时能够提供。

英语专业毕业论文格式规范

外国语学院英语专业毕业论文格式规范

毕业论文是本科教学工作过程中的重要环节,是对学生综合运用本学科基本理论、专门知识和技能解决实际问题和从事科学研究的初步能力的训练与检验。为规范英语专业毕业论文工作,特制定本论文格式规范。

1.论文组成部分(见附页:论文范文)

※ 标题页(Title Page)

※ 致谢(Acknowledgements)

※ 英文摘要(Abstract)和关键词(Key words)※ 中文摘要和关键词 ※ 目录(Contents)

※ 论文正文(Body Part)※ 注释(Notes)

※ 引用书目(Works Cited)※ 参考文献(Bibliography)

2.封面(Cover)

论文封面按照南京林业大学统一格式。

3.标题页(Title Page)

单独起页。本页的内容全部居中,论文标题首字母大写,采用三号加粗字体,其余部分采用四号加粗大写字体(论文作者姓名首字母大写)。

4.致谢(Acknowledgements)

单独起页。在起始页第一行居中位置注明Acknowledgements(三号加粗Times New Roman)字样,往下至行文第一行之间空一个double space。本部分内容为对自己在论文写作中提供过实质性帮助的人表达谢意,内容要简明、得体。学生可以参照毕业论文范文中的致谢形式和内容。

5.英文摘要(Abstract)

单独起页。在起始页第一行居中位置注明Abstract字样,往下至行文第一行之间空一个double space。摘要内容须能反映论文的主题思想。摘要内容书写完毕以后,往下空出一个double space的位置标注Key words:字样,随后给出能反映全文主要内容的关键词3—6个。居中打印Abstract(三号Times New Roman字体加粗),空一行打印英文摘要内容及关键词(小四号Times New Roman字体),摘要内容每段开头留四个字符空格。摘要内容后下换行打印Key words(小四号Times New Roman字体加粗),每一关键词之间用逗号分开,最后一个关键词后不打标点符号。

6.中文摘要

单独起页。中文摘要即英文摘要之汉译。在起始页第一行居中位置注明“摘要”二字(三号加粗宋体),“摘要”二字下空一行打印摘要内容(小四号宋体),每段开头空二个汉字的距离。摘要内容后下空一行打印“关键词:”字样(小四号加粗宋体),每一关键词之间用分号分开,最后一个关键词后不打标点符号。中文关键词也为英文关键词之汉译。

6.目录(Contents)

单独起页。在起始页第一行居中位置注Contents字样,往下空一个double space。靠左位置分条目(依照其出现的先后顺序)列出论文的如下各个部分:论文的各个章节标题、Notes、Bibliography,靠右注明相应的起始页码数。所有条目的措辞、大小写、以及标点符号与其在文章中的严格一致。列出论文的大标题、一级和二级节标题,逐项标明页码,标题应该简明扼要,点出各部分主要内容。

“Contents”居中(三号加粗Times New Roman),下空两行为章、节、小节(靠左)及起始页码(靠右)。各大小标题与页码之间用“--------”连接。

7.论文正文(Body Part)

单独起页。正文由Introduction, Demonstration和Conclusion三大部分组成,论文标题位于正文首页第一行居中位置,采用小三号加粗字体,三大部分标题采用小四号加粗字体,而每部分小标题用小四号斜体,正文用小四号字体。正文行距为1.5倍,论文标题与第一部分Introduction之间空一个double space,每一小点之间也为一个double space距离(上下两个小标题连在一起除外)。正文一律采用Times New Roman字体。

8.注释(Notes)

英语专业论文注释及参考文献格式参照目前国际上比较常见的MLA style,分别由Notes,Works Cited和Bibliography组成。

Notes为解释性注释,使用尾注形式,单独起页。该页根据各论文的实际需要可有可无。作为一个独立部分,尾注须单独起页,在起始页第一行居中位置注明Notes字样。所有尾注按照在正文中引用的先后顺序统一用上标1、2、3„„格式编号。上标符号与每一条注释第一个单词之间空一格,每一条注释第一行缩进五个空格。

9.引用书目(Works Cited)

Works Cited是指在论文中实际引用的书目,它是按照作者姓氏的字母顺序排列的,并且按照英文书目在前、中文书目在后的顺序排列。

单独起页。在起始页第一行居中位置注Works Cited字样,往下空一个double space。每一条书目无需序号,首行靠左边顶格开始,第二行起往右缩进五个字母的位置。每条书目内部及之间空一个double space.其规范格式如下所示: 1)The author’s name(last name first), followed by a period;2)The title of the book, italicized and followed by a period(for an essay, a poem, a short story, or a play in a collection, the title of the relevant selection, followed by a period and enclosed in quotation marks);3)The city in which the book was published, followed by a colon;4)The name of the publishing company, followed by a comma;

5)The copyright date, followed by a period.For example: Ryan,Edwin.A College Handbook to Newman.Washington, D.C.: Catholic Education P, 1930.10.参考文献(Bibliography)

单独起页。在起始页第一行居中位置注明Bibliography字样,往下至第一个文献条目之间空一个double space。Bibliography的规范格式和Works Cited页相同,不同的是Bibliography中所列各条目必须是论文写作过程中参考过,但未必直接或间接引用过的与论文内容相关的论著。

11.引文

引文要准确,尽量短小、适度。

比较短的直接引文(散文在40单词或诗2行之内)使用段中引文形式,即前后加引号,与论文融为一体、无需独立起段。诗歌的两行之间用斜线(/)分开,且斜线的前后空一格,保留原文的大小写,如:

(例1)George Orwell, the English essayist and novelist, explains that“Dickens’s criticism of society is almost exclusively moral.”

(例2)In his “Hymn to Intellectual Beauty,” Shelley personifies the immaterial, spiritual world:“The awful shadow of some unseen Power / Floats though unseen amongst us.”

比较长的直接引文(四行及以上)则使用提引文形式,即须单独起段落引入。引文上下空一个double space,整体向后退缩10个空格,无需使用引号, 如: Albert Bigelow Paine ³ points out in Afterword of Mark Twain’s Notebook,Always from youth to age he strove against oppression, superstition, sham, hypocrisy, evil in every form.He fought in the open, with that most powerful of all weapons, truth – unanswerable logic supplemented by ridicule.He believed that no abuse could withstand ridicule, and he went far toward approving it.12.打印及装订要求

论文内容一律采用WORD文字处理软件,用A4规格输出,即常规打印。
