(一)1.何谓善用空间的演讲
所谓空间就是指进行演说的场所范围、演讲者所在之处以及与听众间的距离等等。演说者所在之处以位居听众注意力容易汇集的地方最为理想。例如开会的时候、主席多半位居会议桌的上方、因为该处正是最容易汇集出席者注意力的地方。
反之,如果主席位居会议桌之正中央,则会议的进行情况会变如何呢?恐怕会使出席者注意力散漫了,且有会议冗长不休的感觉?因此,让自己位居听众注意力容易汇集之处,不但能够提升听众对于演讲的关注,甚至具有增强演说者信赖度权威感的效果。
2.演讲时的姿势如何
演说时的姿势(posture)也会带给听众某种印象,例如堂堂正正的印象或者畏畏缩缩的印象。虽然个人的性格与平日的习惯对此影响颇巨,不过一般而言仍有方便演讲的姿势,即所谓“轻松的姿势”。要让身体放松,反过来说就是不要过度紧张。过度的紧张不但会表现出笨拙僵硬的姿势,而且对于舌头的动作也会造成不良的影响。
决窍之一是张开双脚与肩同宽,挺稳整个身躯。另一个决窍是想办法扩散并减轻施加在身体上的紧张情绪。例如将一只手稍微插入口袋中,或者手触桌边、或者手握麦克风等等。
3.演讲时的视线
在大众面前说话,亦即表示必须忍受众目睽睽的注视。当然,并
非每位听众都会对你报以善意的眼光。尽管如此,你还是不可以漠视听众的眼光,避开听众的视线来说话。尤其当你走到麦克风旁边站立在大众面前的那一瞬间,来自听众的视线有时甚至会让你觉得刺痛。
克服这股视线压力的秘决,就是一面进行演讲;一面从听众当中找寻对于自己投以善意而温柔眼光的人。并且无视于那些冷淡的眼光。此外,把自己的视线投向强烈“点头”以示首肯的人,对巩固信心来进行演说也具有效果。

(二)1.演讲时的脸部表情
演讲时的脸部表情无论好坏都会带给听众极其深刻的印象。紧张、疲劳、喜悦、焦虑、等情绪无不清楚地表露在脸上,这是很难藉由本人的意志来加以控制的。演讲的内容即使再精彩,如果表情总觉缺乏自信,老是畏畏缩缩,演讲就很容易变得欠缺说服力。
控制脸部的方法,首先“不可垂头”。人一旦“垂头”就会予人“丧气”之感,而且若视线不能与听众接触,就难以吸引听众的注意。另一个方法是“缓慢说话”。说话速度一旦缓慢,情绪即可稳定,脸部表情也得以放松,再者,全身上下也能够为之泰然自若起来。

3.声音和腔调
声音和腔调乃是与生俱来的,不可能一朝一夕之间有所改善。不过音质与措词对于整个演说影响颇巨,这倒是事实。根据某项研究报告指出声音低沉的男性比声音高亢的男性,其信赖度较高。因为声音低沉会让人有种威严沉着的感觉。尽管如此,各位还是不可能马上就改变自己的声音。总之,重要的是让自己的声音清楚地传达给听众。即使是音质不好的人,如果能够禀持自己的主张与信念的话,依旧可以吸引听众的热切关注。
说话的速度也是演讲的要素。为了营造沉着的气氛,说话稍微慢点是很重要。标准大致为5分钟三张左右的A4原稿,不过,此地要注意的是,倘若从头至尾一直以相同的速度来进行,听众会睡觉的。

演讲的沟通,并非全靠“言语”在进行。能够以“非言语”即所谓的Body Language 和其他为手段来表达各种信息,这已是众人所熟知的事物。根据某项研究显示,70%的沟通可说是以“非言语”为媒介来传达。
因此,脸部表情(facial expressions)、手势(gesture)、姿态(posture)
等等,无不隐含着重要的意义。这些Body Language与言语、文化具有无法割舍的关系。或许是难得其间三味吧?很多英语学习者往往由于作法不当以致予人“东施效颦”的不良印象,所以不可不慎。
对于演说中Body Language的“东施效颦”究竟意指什么呢?心存疑惑的人想来也是不在少数吧。此处且举其一为例。在用英语说:“I don't know"的时候,有人便作出稍为摊开双手并且耸耸肩膀的Body Language。不过这项Body Language系属相当西洋式的姿势,如果由东方人来作的的话,经常带给对方颇不对劲的感觉。这就有如清末民初洋服刚刚传入中国不久时,当穿起洋服招摇过市的话总要惹人侧目的情形一般。
基本上,对于与自己不搭调的Body Language 还是少用为宜。如果刻意摆首弄姿,往往引起反效果。
重要的是,不要勉强。倘若扭捏地模仿”洋人的姿态“,不仅徒然予人卑屈的印象,而且容易招致所谓“中国人也和洋人作同样的Body Language吗?”的奇妙误解。从事演说之际最好根据自己本身的经验,采取自然形成的“Body Language”为宜。
不过有一点要特别注意,即有关“视线”方面,大部分的中国人都有看着“天空”说话的毛病,容易予人不诚恳的印象,所以要留心尽量目视观众才好。

作为律师,听说读写是四项基本技能,其中口才是重中之重,我想很多年轻的律师朋友或多或少都会有这方面的困惑。拿我自己来讲,我为什么要把这个题目作为首场课程,因为我在当律师之初,也存在和大家一样的困惑和顾虑。
我在报考大学的时候,应该说我对自己的口头表达是非常自信的,所以我为了做律师,就考了当时考分很高的中国政法大学。进了校以后,在大学4年当中,在口头表达上遭受了一个很严重的挫折。在我们入学第一年第一学期的时候,有一个辩论赛,是政法大学的一个传统,当时的辩题我记得很清楚:“以成败论英雄,还是不以成败论英雄?”我们是正方,要以成败论英雄。在底下大家讨论和准备的时候,我都是口若悬河、非常流畅,所以被推举为四辩。没想到在年级辩论的场合的时候,一看到台下黑压压的300多人,在台上辩论也有非常强的程式规定,所以这样一上台,到自己发言的时候,头脑一片空白,当着大家就支支吾吾一句整话没说出来。
这件事对我的影响很大,以致于我刚刚开始做律师的时候,因为现在很多律师都有这样的困惑,没有老师带,没有进行过系统的训练,庭审的表现到底会是什么样子,自己心里没底。我刚刚做律师去办的第一个案子,是一个合作开发的合同纠纷的案子,当时这个案子案情很复杂,准备的证据材料也很多。在法院开庭之前,我记得是下午1点半开庭,中午我在基层法院门口的小饭馆吃饭,紧张得手心冒汗,最后没办法了,喝了半瓶小二锅头,然后才敢进的法庭。最后我的表现超好,因为这二锅头的“帮忙”,对自己的那些顾虑、担忧就没有那么敏感了。我还记得当时举证质证的时候,对答如流,对对方律师提供的证据很快地寻找到了瑕疵,发挥得淋漓尽致。
开完庭以后,我想:“拿二锅头垫底,恐怕不是长久之计,喝少了不一定能起到预想的效果,喝多了就跟醉酒驾车差不多,律师在法庭上酒气熏熏的肯定不是一个长久的办法。”我想:“这是刚刚开庭,开庭的机会多了,开的久了,我的口头表达就能逐渐变好起来。”但是我没有想到的是,我在开律师事务所之前这5年间,应该说代理的案件不下二三百件,经历了这么多的阵战,都没有让我达到一个预期的在法庭上流利表达的程度,因为还是有束缚,总担心说错话,总担心自己的发言会被对方抓住漏洞和把柄,所以在法庭上就很拘谨。
所以,应对庭审的练兵,都没有让我突破口头表达的障碍。但是什么让我彻底地把包袱放下了?我以前在庭审过程中,比较擅长应对举证质证过程和法官问答过程,只要说话超过3分钟,你马上就会有一些生理的反应:声音局促,手心冒汗,反应能力下降。你带着这样一种状况,你再要去说什么,恐怕底气也没有那么十足,说服力也会打折扣。所以,以我当时那样一个水平,我是靠一套方法最后超越了口头表达的障碍,在外讲课的时候屋里坐着几百人,我都可以滔滔不绝地讲两三个小时。
那么,靠什么来突破的?是从2004年我开了律师事务所以后,通过给社区、企业、高管及员工内训、政府干部讲课突破的。

今天的每一家企业都属于服务业,纯粹的生产商将冒较大的风险,举个最近在美国发生在大事件作为例子:通用和克莱斯勒两家汽车公司要求政府救助,通用甚至提出破产保护,可是福特汽车却不需要帮忙,业务平稳现金流健康,差别在哪儿?最大的差别就在于通用和克莱斯勒都还是停留在“生产厂商”的阶段,要产能最大化而不管经销渠道能否卖得了,强迫吃货,再不行就给贷款吃货再不行就增加新的经销商,这是生产导向型企业。可是福特汽车在两年前引进新总裁,他原任波音飞机副总裁,上任后,他的第一个动作就是“打破行业规矩”,根据“市场需求”制定生产计划,在几年前就开始裁员,增加合作伙伴。今天,他是美国汽车行业的唯一幸存者,通用汽车的股票在过去一年跌去了5/6,福特的市值却涨了四倍。
这不再是一个英明领导人说了算的时代,而是一个“强强联合,优势互补”的新社会。由企业内部开始启动再往外延伸,相互间存在的是尊重和合作。领导管理的模式由早期的“教训、教导”要再加进“教练”的新元素。

人们面对变革的挑战时,会出现压力,传统的解决压力的办法一般有两种:一种是用技术性的方法去应对挑战,压力降低了,但问题并没有得到真正的解决,挑战依然存在。另一种方法是在重压之下采取逃避策略,逃避工作,逃避挑战,人一旦逃避,压力就转移到其它面对挑战的人身上,自身压力降低了,但同样没有正面而彻底地解决问题。
还有一种有效方法:在人们到达忍耐限度之前,开始进行调适,调适心态,以适应变革的环境,同时在调适的过程中找到有效的方法。变革带给人们威胁和不安,调适性就是让人们直面威胁,将威胁带来的矛盾公开,从而推动人们积极适应环境,开发新的角色关系,找到有创造力的方法。当人们采取调适产生新的解决方案后,挑战得到克服,压力自然降低,学习已经开始。
只有当所有人愿意转变面对改变的信念,调整应对变化的心态,只有当所有人愿意转变面对改变的信念,调整应对变化的心态,调适性领导力才可能发挥作用。从“要我做”到“我要做”有两个条件,一方面领导者在信念上有转变,真正看到“要我做”的不足和“我要做”的价值,在心态上愿意实现这个转变,“我要做”才可能在企业中发生;另一方面,团队成员也要有信念和心态上的转变,内心愿意,积极主动,“我要做”才能够成为现实。
教练的作用发挥在调适的阶段,教练是调适的有效工具。从教练的核心原理中,可以看出教练就是在做调适性的工作。核心原理:你有什么样的信念,就会有什么样的心态,从而有相应的行动和成果,信念和心态决定了我们人生的方向和状态,决定了人生的宽度和成果。只有打开信念,改变心态,才能在变革的环境中积极主动,化不安为创造力。
