2009生命的境界
生命，以时间为载体，以贡献的多少来反映其价值。生命的境界取决于后者，而非前者。在我看来，生命有三种境界。
能够衣食无忧，此乃生命的最低境界。处于这种境界的生命只是在延伸着生命的长度，无法扩展生命的宽度。从某种意义上讲，这种人的生命与动物的生命毫无区别。在这种安逸的生活中，生命的价值大打折扣。人一旦沦入此境界，就只知道贪图享乐，不劳而获，失去原有的进取心。从表面上看，这些生命仿佛很充实，而事实上这些生命早已不复存在，因为无价值的生命必然被自然所淘汰。
追求充实的精神世界，此乃生命的较高境界。这也是人的生命独特性的体现。对于这些生命而言，他们都有着自己的奋斗目标，并为之拼搏，使自己的生命价值得以彰显。由于这些生命拥有坚定的信念，所以他们很清楚该做什么，不该做什么，不会在奋斗的过程中迷失方向。美国着名的发明家爱迪生，从12岁当报童开始，就一直进行着不懈的学习和实验。在工作中，爱迪生坚信的是“勤奋加恒心”。他常常废寝忘食，每天工作的时间都在18小时以上，若用平常人一生的工作时间来计算，他的生命早就成倍地增长了，生命的境界也在不知不觉中得以提升。因此，在79岁生日那天，他风趣地说：“我已经是135岁了。”
