Notes on the text 课文注释go to the theatre，去看戏。got angry，生气。turn round，转身，也可用turn around。pay attention，注意。I could not bear it．我无法忍受。其中的it是指上文中的那对男女大声说话又不理会作者的愤怒目光。none of your business，不关你的事。

lesson 2 Breakfast or lunch? It's one o'clock!‟ Notes on the text 课文注释 on Sundays，指每个星期日。星期几的前面用介词on。What a day！多么糟糕的天气！这是一个省略的感叹句。完整的句子应该是What a day it is！英语中的感叹句常用what开头，后面紧跟一个名词或名词性短语(包括连系动词)，然后是主语和谓语，句尾用感叹号。I'm coming to see you．在这句话中现在进行时用来表示近期按计划或安排要进行的动作。Dear me！天哪！这也是一个感叹句。

第四篇：浅谈新概念英语

看到论坛中的网友都在找新概念美语版的录音，可能与现在的大部分听力材料都是美语有关(如voa toefl)。不过我推荐大家使用由英国longman公司录制的新概念，原因很简单，这套录音根据不同的英语水平设计了不同的时速，从第一册的每分钟约100歌单词到第二册的每分钟120-140个单词，再到第三四册的每分钟150-160个单词，使学习者逐渐熟悉适应正常的说话速度，设计较为合理，而不象一般的录音都是一个速度。同时该录音采用的是Received Pronunciation。即BBC所使用的standerd English，有利于大家以后适应收听BBC。

另外一个大家比较关心的问题是对听惯了英国英语后会否听不懂美语，实际这种担心是不必要的，我还没听说哪个英国人听不懂美国话，从我的实践来看也不存在这种问题，二者虽有差异，但并非很大。同时许多网友听VOA没有问题了，再听BBC也不存在听不懂的问题。

第二个大家比较关心的是发音问题。实话实说，不论你学的是美语还是英语，对于大部分不是从幼儿时期就说英语的人，你所发出的永远是中国腔的英语，只不过是程度上的差异而已。同时许多专家也提倡在学英语的初期学习英国英语，因为英国英语的发音比较规范，容易养成良好正确的发音习惯。而且从英语改说美语也并不难，找几部美国电影，跟着里边的台词说几遍，你的发音就会大大的得以改变。

第三点我想强调的是大家在学新概念时所忽视的一点，就是新概念同时也是训练大家提高写作水平的一本好教程，大家仔细看一看每课后的写作练习，从最简单的简单句写起，一步一步引导你写出较复杂的句子，再到不提供提示，独立写出句子和段落，循序渐进，为大家的英语写作打下坚实的基础。
