In Xanadu did Kubla Khan A stately pleasure-dome decree: Where Alph, the sacred river, ran Through caverns measureless to man Down to a sunless sea.So twice five miles of fertile ground With walls and towers were girdled round;And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills, Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree;And here were forests ancient as the hills, Enfolding sunny spots of greenery.But oh!that deep romantic chasm which slanted Down the green hill athwart a cedarn cover!A savage place!as holy and enchanted As e’er beneath a waning moon was haunted By woman wailing for her demon-lover!And from this chasm, with ceaseless turmoil seething, As if this earth in fast thick pants were breathing, A mighty fountain momently was forced: Amid whose swift half-intermitted burst Huge fragments vaulted like rebounding hail, Or chaffy grain beneath the thresher’s flail: And mid these dancing rocks at once and ever It flung up momently the sacred river.Five miles meandering with a mazy motion Through wood and dale the sacred river ran, Then reached the caverns measureless to man, And sank in tumult to a lifeless ocean;And ’mid this tumult Kubla heard from far Ancestral voices prophesying war!The shadow of the dome of pleasure Floated midway on the waves;Where was heard the mingled measure From the fountain and the caves.It was a miracle of rare device, A sunny pleasure-dome with caves of ice!
A damsel with a dulcimer In a vision once I saw: It was an Abyssinian maid And on her dulcimer she played, Singing of Mount Abora.Could I revive within me Her symphony and song, To such a deep delight ’twould win me, That with music loud and long, I would build that dome in air, That sunny dome!those caves of ice!And all who heard should see them there, And all should cry, Beware!Beware!His flashing eyes, his floating hair!Weave a circle round him thrice, And close your eyes with holy dread For he on honey-dew hath fed, And drunk the milk of Paradise.
All thoughts, all passions, all delights,Whatever stirs thi mortal frame,All are but ministers of Love,And feed his sacred flame.
Oft in my waking dreams do I
Live o'er again that happy hour,When midway on the mount I lay,Beside the ruin'd tower.
一遍遍重温那幸福时刻;
The moonshine,stealing o'er the scene,Had blended with the lights of eve;
And she was there, my hope, my joy,My own dear Genevieve!
月光悄悄地照到了那里,同茫茫暮色融汇在一处;
She lean'd against the armed man,The statue of the armed Knight;
SHe stood and listen'd to my lay,Amid the lingering light.她倚着那位武装的男子,那是全副武装的骑士像;
Few sorrows hath she of her own,My hope!my joy!my Genevieve!
She loves me best whene'er I sing
The songs that make her grieve.
I play'd a soft and doleful air;
I sing an old and moving story--
An old rude song, that suited well
That ruin wild and hoary.我奏起柔美哀怨的曲调,我常起古老动人的古似乎;
She listen'd with a flitting blush,With downcast eyes and modest grace;
For well she knew I could not choose
But gaze upon her face.她听的时候眼光没抬去,脸一红的神情谦恭优雅;
I told her of the Knight that wore
Upon his shield a burning brand;
And that for ten long years he woo'd
The Lady of the Land.我告诉她曾经有位骑士,他盾上的图案是把火剑;
I told her how he pined and ah!
The deep, the low, thepleading tone
With which I sang another's love,Interpreted my own.我告诉她,骑士如何憔悴;

If anyone tries to tell you that you can't work hard enough to face the task in front of you--show them that you're tough.If anyone tries to tell you that you are not that strong, don't listen to discouragement--know that you belong.If anyone tries to tell you that you can't sing your own song, or make your way in the world...prove them wrong.Everyone gets an angel...You can't always see them because sometimes they are invisible.Sometimes they are your pet when he kisses you...Sometimes they are a small treasure you find...an angel might even be your friend.Those angels are quiet, but what they are really saying is:“ pink clouds!A good day is just around the corner.” So, if you begin to worry too much, just remember...Somewhere an angel is looking out for you, too.

2010-12-11 17:45:53
一 nothing gold can stay 1简介:《美景易逝(Nothing Gold Can Stay)》罗伯特•弗罗斯特的代表作之一。 Nothing gold can stay
Nature's first green is gold,大自然的第一抹新绿是金,Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
她初发的叶子如同一朵花,;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides leaf,
So Eden sank to grief. So down gose down to day,破晓黎明延续至晃晃白昼。
Nothing gold can stay.
The Road Not Taken Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,黄色的树林里分出两条路 And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
我向着一条路极目望去 To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,但我却选择了另外一条路
And having perhaps the better claim,它荒草萋萋,十分幽寂 Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,都很少留下旅人的足迹 And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,但我知道路径延绵无尽头 I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood,and I—
I took the one less traveled by,而我却选择了人迹更少的一条
And that has made al lthe difference.
全诗最后并没有指出诗人选择那条路以后最终的结局,只是说“And that has made all the difference”...... The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree
Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued.
Richard Cory
Richard Cory
-Edwin Arlington Robinsonyes, richer than a king-
他有钱---是的,富比王侯 And admirably schooled in every grace;
In fine we thought that he was everything
To make us wish that we were in his place.
So on we worked, and waited for the light,我们苦干,等着福光降临 And went without the meat, and cursed the bread;
And Richard Cory, one calm summer night,而理查. Went home and put a bullet through his head.
The Red Wheelbarrow By William Carlos Williams
so much depends upon
如果我们把这首诗歌还原成一个独立的句子,即: so much depends upon a red wheel barrow glazed with rain water beside the white chickens。
Williams曾经有过一番精辟的评论:“Imagination is not to avoid reality, not is it description nor an evocation of objects or situations, it is to say that poetry does not temper with the world but moves it...it affirms reality most powerfully, since reality needs no personal support exist from human actions.” 六 Death, Be Not Proud 1诗歌简介:
Death, Be Not Proud
by John Donne
Death,be not proud,though some have called thee Mighty and dreadful,for thou art not so;For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow Die not,poor Death,nor yet canst thou kill me.From rest and sleep,which but thy pictures be, Much pleasure;then from thee much more must flow, And soonest our best men with thee do go, Rest of their bones, and soul's delivery.Thou art slave to fate, chance,kings,and desperate men, And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell, And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well And better than thy stroke;why swell'st thou then? One sort sleep past, we wake eternally And death shall be no more;Death,thou shalt die.
In a station of the metro In a station of the metro
The apparition of these faces in the crowd;
Petals on a wet, black bough
八 a poison tree
I was angry friende:
Itold my wrath,my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
Itold it not,my wrath did grow
And I watered it in fears,在日日夜夜的恐惧中,Night and morning with my tear;
我用泪水将它浇灌;
And I souned it with my smiles,微笑着,用温柔欺瞒的诡计,And with soft deceitful wiles.
And it grew both day and night,它日夜不停的生长,Till it bore an apple bright,甚至结出一个苹果,鲜亮明媚。
And my foe beheld it shine,我的敌人瞧见它的光彩,And he know that it was mine.
And into my garden stole,当夜得漆黑将树干裹起,When then night had veiled the pole;
他悄悄潜入我的花园;
In the morning glad see,清晨我高兴地看到,My foe outstretched beneath the tree.

《When You Are Old 》
When you are old and gray and full of sleep And nodding by the fire, take down this book, And slowly read, and dream of the soft look Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace, And loved your beauty with love false or true;
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you, And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
And bending down beside the glowing bars, Murmur, a little sadly, how love fled And paced upon the mountains overhead, And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.
回想它们过去的浓重的阴影;
《The most distant way in the world 》
The most distant way in the world is not the way from birth to the end.it is when i sit near you
that you don't understand i love u.The most distant way in the world is not that you're not sure i love u.It is when my love is bewildering the soul but i can't speak it out.The most distant way in the world is not that i can't say i love u.it is after looking into my heart i can't change my love.The most distant way in the world is not that i'm loving u.it is in our love
we are keeping between the distance.The most distant way in the world is not the distance across us.it is when we're breaking through the way we deny the existance of love.So the most distant way in the world is not in two distant trees.it is the same rooted branches can't enjoy the co-existance.So the most distant way in the world is not in the being sepearated branches.it is in the blinking stars they can't burn the light.So the most distant way in the world is not the burning stars.it is after the light
they can't be seen from afar.So the most distant way in the world is not the light that is fading away.it is the coincidence of us is not supposed for the love.So the most distant way in the world is the love between the fish and bird.one is flying at the sky,the other is looking upon into the sea.

The furthest distance in the world The furthest distance in the world Is not between life and death But when I stand in front of you Yet you don''t know that I love you
The furthest distance in the world
Is not when i stand in front of you Yet you can''t see my love
But when undoubtedly knowing the love from both Yet cannot be together The furthest distance in the world Is not being apart while being in love But when plainly can not resist the yearning Yet pretnending you have never been in my heart The furthest distance in the world
Is not pretnending you have never been in my heart But using one''s indifferent heart To sig an uncrossable river For the one who loves you
Good, better, best Never let it rest Till good is better And better, best Cow, cow, Friendly and brown, Let down your milk, For the hungry town.Come visit the lovely violets That live in the valley here;The loveliest violets you ever have seen
Over the hills or near.I'm thankful for a thousand things: For faithful earth, for birth and breath, For thought and health and strength, And for every nice thing on earth.The winds, the winds, the winter winds,Have blown the sands to sea;But friends, my friends, those loving friends,Are still kind friends to me.Swift the moment flies away, First the hour and then the day, Next the week, the month, the year
Go away and disappear.Brotherhood is always around.It’s in the city, it’s in the town;It’s in the country and everywhere.It’s a kind of blessing that we should share.Spring is gay with flower and song, Summer is hot and days are long, Autumn is rich with fruit and grain, Winter brings snow and the New Year again.Night
BY Max Webber
Fainter, Dimmer, Stiller each moment, Now night.In a Station of the Metro
by Ezra Pound The apparition of these faces in the crowd;
Petals on a wet, black bough.SPRING
by William Blake
Sound the flute!Now it's mute.Birds delight Day and night;Nightingale In the dale, Lark in sky, Merrily, Merrily, merrily, to welcome in the year.Fog The fog comes on little cat feet.It sits looking over harbour and city on silent haunches and then moves on.13 SPRING
by: Thomas Nashe(1567-1601)SPRING, the sweet Spring, is the year's pleasant king;Then blooms each thing, then maids dance in a ring, Cold doth not sting, the pretty birds do sing--
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!
The palm and may make country houses gay, Lambs frisk and play, the shepherds pipe all day, And we hear aye birds tune this merry lay--Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!
The fields breathe sweet, the daises kiss our feet, Young lovers meet, old wives a-sunning sit, In every street these tunes our ears do greet--Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!
Spring, the sweet Spring!
Poem for Summer Laughter of Lilacs Rainbows of roses Songs of the robins Lily of the valley borders Sunshine to warm the heart Oh what joy this season does impart!
by Anne Morrow Lindberg Fall’s Chores
Summer’s getting drowsy now;
Soon she will be dozing;Flowers are folding up their heads,Another season’s closing.Fall is waiting in the wings, Impatient to get going,He has a lot of work to do, Before it’s time for snowing.“I have to paint the leaves,” he says,“In shades of red and gold, And send the geese along their way
Before it gets too cold.”I’ll ripen pumpkins on the vine, For sweet Thanksgiving pies, And plump the apples on the trees To make cider that satisfies.“Sunshiny days will be shorter now;
I’ll add a cool, crisp breeze;For this relief from summer heat,I make no apologies.”I have just one more thing to do;
My work is almost done;I’ll turn the leaves to crunchy piles,So kids can have fall fun!"
Winter’s Embrace
When winter blows its cold breath everywhere, And throws a chill white blanket on the ground,The sun makes sparkling diamonds on the snow, And trees with icy diadems are crowned.It’s time to snuggle in for winter fun In cozy places, maybe by a fire.A good book and some cocoa feel just right In flannels, sweaters, winter’s warm attire.Winter’s gloom is comforting somehow, As life retreats from its rushed and frantic pace.We’re ready now to stay indoors awhile, As we settle into winter’s calm embrace.17 Dreams Hold fast to dreams For if dreams die Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly
Hold fast to dreams For when dreams go Life is a barren field Frozen with snow
