动词第三人称单数形式的构成规则:
a)直接在动词词尾加s。如：help→helps,play→plays。live→lives read→reads

如:, watch→watches go→goes，teach→teaches
c)以辅音字母加y结尾的动词,变y为 i再加-es。
如:carry→carries, fly→flies。
英语形容词比较级：
1)单音节形容词的比较级形式是在词尾加 –er。如： tall→ taller short→ shorter strong →stronger old→ older
young→ younger long →longer small →smaller
以-y 结尾,且-y 前是辅音字母的形容词的比较级是把-y 去掉,改i再加上 –er。如： Heavy
