It has been twice that I watched this brilliant film.On the first time , I was very young , so I only got some simple ideas about the film.The smart teacher , Mr.Keating , the beautiful scene of Welton Academy , different kinds of characteristic students which were still very vivid in my mind before I watched the film twicely.I didn’t whole understand what the film want to tell me , to let me know.I was merely very happy when Captain taught them the poetry , very excited when the dead poets society was rebuilt , very sad when Neil committed suicide.So , after some years ,when I watched this film the twice.I seemed to catch something behind the scene, hidden behind the poetry, behind the characters.The film is very attractive , whatever on its meaning , its plot or its actors.It actually tells a story about education, about freedom , about “ carpe diem”.Welton Academy is a conservative, aristocratic elite prep school which was honored by its four pillars :tradition, honor, discipline and excellence.It was on behalf of the tradition, the dogma, the cage trammeling youngers creative ideas.On contrast of the Welton, the new teacher, Mr.Keating, was the symbol of freedom, creativeness and passion.The film is the conflict of the two.Mr.Keating inspires his students to jump out of the trap of the school.His humor and wisdom encouraged the students, making his students find their potential , their gift , their generous.Seven of his students, Neil Perry, Todd Anderson, Knox Overstreet, Charlie Dalton, Richard Cameron, Steven Meeks, and Gerard Pitts, united together and decided to revive a secretive literary club which was formerly builtby their tutor, called “dead poets society”.Both Neil and Todd were under the parental pressure.Their parents ignores their sons’ eager,their acquire them to become lawyer or doctor.But Todd wants to be a writer and Neil dreamed to be an actor.When the climax comes , Neil violated his father’s order and was not able to muster his courage to talk with his father , to declare his dream.He go against his father and attend acting the play “A Midsummer Night's Dream” secretively.However , his father finds out , becomes very furious.Neil lost his hope and feels himself helpless and choose the tragic ending.The students finally surrendered , the death of Neil was imputed to Mr.Keating and he was dismissed.This makes me very sad because of the tradition’s mighty power, putting the freedom to death.But I was very happy to see in the end, the students stepped on the desk and spoke out“ O captain , my captain”.This I thought was the brave protest against the institution, against the symbol of tradition, Mr.Nolan.As far as I concerned , the film tells us what the true meaning of education : Discover yourself.We received education is to become the person we would like to be.It doesn’t not mean we should become what our parents, our teacher and our school want us to be, it was up to ourselves.We need to stick to pursue our dreams , to become who we really are.

《死亡诗社》主持稿
同学们晚上好,我是本次图书馆观影活动的主持人,非常欢迎大家参加本次图书馆放映电影活动,本次电影的名字是《春风化雨》,又名《死亡诗社》。死亡诗社这个名字听起来是有些恐怖的,但是实际上它的确更加符合本片的内涵,一部非常有深意的、关于“诗”的校园影片。
“树林里有两条岔路,而我选比较人少走过的那条路,那里有天壤之别” 这是著名诗人劳勃佛洛斯的诗,用来代表这部影片再好不过了。
一群受传统教育的学生和一位反传统教育的老师之间究竟有什么是值得我们去深思?学生们在无助的情况下所做的决定又是什么?《死亡诗社》为我们回答了这样一个命题。那是一个扼杀个性的年代,当然也许我们今天仍处在这个时代中。在校庆典礼上,学生们穿着一样的校服,异口同声的说着校训,学校礼堂里庄严并且死气沉沉。。但是,接下来他们的船长出现了,从正门走了进来哼着《扬基进行曲》的口哨,把孩子从后门带了出去。就这样另一条道路被打开了。。(坚持自己是条被少数人选择的路,而选择这条路是要付出代价的。这里不是天堂,它从未离开过现实世界。)
一所历史悠久、升学率高的学校对于大人来说,称得上是孩子的天堂。但是对于孩子来说,这里只能称之为地狱罢了。大人总是想把孩子们打造成自己想要的样子,给予他们自己认为最好的东西,却从来不考虑孩子自己的意愿,用他们所选择的的方式让孩子们去适应于社会,这是不是太不公平了呢?不错,这世界本就没有公平可言。可是,谁来为我们的激情负责?谁来为我们的青春买单?如果青春只有所谓的成绩好坏的话,那么只有激情、叛逆、个性、奋发存在的生命才成其为生命,校园才成其为校园!
我们不可否认,这个学校就好像是整个中国教育制度环境的缩影。在这里可以看到传统古板的教书先生,可以看到望子成龙几近病态的家长,可以看到桀骜不羁的学生,可以看到在中国几乎不存在的梦想引路人。我不会过度评论,但是我们必须承认,它是一种社会现状的体现。
现在的小学生的压力是我上学的时候难以想象的,姑且不说教育本身,现在教育在国内的初衷就已经扭曲。相信周围的你看过这部电影以后会像我一样被它感召,追求我们那不曾实现的梦。我见到的一些人,十几年的寒窗过后已经忘记了什么叫做思考,甚至是我们学习的本质。他们中的很多人被禁锢在了这个流水线一样的国度,我常常讲,一人一个活法,可你又可曾了解我的无奈。现实仍然是残酷的,多少聪明勤劳的炎黄子孙还在重复着这个“生产过程”,忘记思考。人是要活在虚无的梦想之上的,它给予我们力量,是人类进步的动力。没有梦想的人终会有梦想,但是请不要让我们的年轻一代不知道什么是梦想,这是最最可悲的。

作为社会体系中最重要的组成部分——教育机构,它的职能是教书育人,而不是模子造人。传统在学校的字典里永远是圣经般的不可侵犯,硬套的校训,死
板的形式。在掌控教鞭的老师那里没有比这些更让他们感到自豪,而他们奉承出的经典就是要努力制造出言听计从,本本分分,刻苦认真的“乖孩子“。不准,不准,不准——从不受到怀疑的教育准则,一个精良别致的框架,把学生们放到里面,排码的整整齐齐严丝合缝,老师们从中取悦的是舒服和欣慰,看到的是死水一样的平静,然后他们会“春风得意“的说:“还有比这样的学生更完美的嘛?“。
学生最好的朋友是谁,难道不是我们的老师吗? 可我们的老师中又有几个是在跟学生交朋友。点名查到,荒谬作业,照本宣科,作为一个老牌的教师这些优势教学方式是他们一贯秉承的指挥棒。站在讲台前的和坐在教室里的似乎是化不开的冤家,解决敌意的矛盾被当作是不可能完成的任务,可事实真的是那么的难吗?老师,什么样的老师才算是好老师? 他们不需要按部就班的照着书本讲内容,因为那不是我们想要的,而所要做的是教会我们拥有一双发现美的眼睛,用心灵感受学科中的奇妙,善于观察善于发现,推开心门走向多彩的未来。这些难吗?
浓烈的生命质感和灵魂光华,让《死亡诗社》在上映的当年荣获了奥斯卡、金球、英国学院、法国恺撒等多项大奖。
我们读诗、写诗并不是因为它们好玩,而是因为我们是人类的一分子,而人类是充满激情的。没错,医学、法律、商业、工程,这些都是崇高的追求,足以支撑人的一生。但诗歌、美丽、浪漫、爱情,这些才是我们活着的意义。
造成这个的原因是什么?我认为,就是中国的教育使得学生从小就没有对自己的人生进行规划的权利,或者已经养成了大事都由老师或者家长做主的可悲习惯。而老师真正应该教授的,正是此道:培养一个学生独立自主的人格。剧中的John keating叫学生们勇于尝试,勇于突破,有自己的想法,发展自己的爱好。这些正是学生所缺的,谁能说这是错误的人生观?难道平庸,人云亦云才是正确的?
有人说我们是缺少信仰、理想和激情的迷茫的一代。从小学、中学到大学关心的只是一味地读好书、作个大人看来引以为豪的孩子,考出优异的成绩,以后找到一份好的工作,再以后有个幸福美满的家,再在以后等我们有了孩子,也要这样循环往复地教导培养下一代,读好书、作好孩子等等……
不免有个问题开始终日萦绕在我思绪中:生活的意义是什么?不想从哲学问题去考虑这问题,那是学者的工作。对于普通的我来说,一直一直以来,我只是认为生活只是顺着时间一分一秒地过着,就像小溪的清水至上而下流畅般自然,没有为什么是从高到低的疑问,也没有为什么要有小溪和溪水的问题。“就这样”便是我的答案!
看了《死亡诗社》后,我懂得了意义存在的价值。生活只是我们的一个舞台,它本身是什么并不重要,重要的是我们要在舞台上选择并出演什么样的角色和内容:戏剧、诗歌、悲剧、话剧、哑剧、歌剧……,什么都可以,哪怕乱七八糟,浑浑噩噩都可以,但原则是:你自己选择的并乐意用一生去努力追求。
我步入丛林,因为我希望生活得有意义。
我希望活得深刻
吸取生命中所有的精华
把非生命的一切都击溃
以免当我生命终结时
发现自己从来没有活过。
好像《麦田的守望者》中有这么一句:当年轻时,可以为崇高的理想而选择光荣的死,当年长时,可以为崇高的理想而选择卑贱的活。我们每个人都应是守望者,守望我们的心智,我们的理想,以防它在生活中不知不觉地坠落和被自己遗忘。在平庸的活着和无悔的死去这两者之间,我义无返顾地选择后者。因为“人因梦想而伟大”。
理论上说,教育是要把我们培育成改造世界的人,也就是Keating这样的人物。和老同学联系,他们不是问我在哪里高就,而问我在哪里改变这个世界(So, you are out there changing the world?)还有的同学说,等我长大了(毕业了的隐晦说法),我会像狂风暴雨一样,席卷某某领域(Once I grow up, I am going to take … by storm.)
有时候这是玩笑或自嘲,可是当我们年轻的时候没有这种浪漫,没有这种冲劲,而只是想着如何去适应这个世界,那田鼠和蝼蚁一样的人生,是何等绝望?就如同这电影一开始说的,人到最后,其实会被黄土埋掉,成为虫子的食物,这白驹过隙的一生,怎么着都是一遭,现实的生活只是一种必需,然而从今天活到明天,只关注物质所需,没有一个精神的家园,我们就会和大部分人一样,排队站到灰色的大多数里面,“默默地过着绝望的生活”。如果你偶尔看到这句话,请你反省一下,你现在过的是这种生活吗?如果是,如果你有所不满,是否得像“船长”老师号召的那样,站到桌子上,换个角度去重新看待自己的人生?世界或许和你平时看的不一样。
电影中的老师教授诗歌的时候,将现实主义的诗歌大部分跳过去不教,而侧重于浪漫派诗歌,如惠特曼那种气贯长虹的诗歌。对于除了荷尔蒙一无所有的高中生来说,其实这未尝有什么错误,因为你怎能想象一个十几岁的孩子就那么现实,连一点梦想都没有了呢?有这么一个突破口,有个死亡诗社这样的组织,宣泄一下,或许可以避开更多的问题。至于尼尔的自杀,其实是和老师的教学方法
和培育方法没有什么关系。一个有梦想的人,其实也可以不脱离现实。我对那老师跳过现实主义部分的做法也有异议,因为人是可以既现实也有梦想的。这种人才是高人,他有巨人般的身材,头在云端,脚踏大地。
当然,现实中的教育,尤其在工业化革命之后,往往是要把我们塑造成符合现实所用的人,学生不过是送进来,流水线加工后再送出去的产品。这样的教育不是要让我们去改造世界,而是要教我们习惯了被世界改造。已故笑星卡林说过一句话,说把人教聪明,不符合美国统治者的利益。在中国更是这样,把人教蠢,教到只会ABCD打勾选择,是符合当权者利益的。大部分时候,一个新人跑过来,满怀激情地要改变现状,最后往往会被同化掉,或者排挤走,因为大部分体系,都倾向于维持现状。人思想上排斥革新,就像其身体会排斥新药一样。对于大部分资质平平的人来说,那没有办法,只有缩到那灰色的大多数里,还落个平安。如果你够强大的话,你可以改变这个世界。如果你不够,那么世界一般来说会把你给改造过来。当然这未必是坏事。资质欠缺的人在这个世界里安分守己,是他也是他人的福气,因为平庸加激情只会等于折腾。唯有才能和激情加到一起的时候,才有产生积极改变的可能。
但凡有能力去改变的人,最好还是去试它一试。千万别以为循规蹈矩一点,“现实一点”,你就会承受地土,得到这个世界。改变是一种冒险,可是将你绑在火刑柱上烧死的时代过去了,如同Outlier一书所示的那样,而今真正改变世界的人,真正的成功者,并非那处在常态分布内的灰色大多数,而是那一个个不愿意默默地、绝望地生活着,而纵身一跳,站到桌子上头,去另眼看世界的人。

死亡诗社影评——悠扬之歌 对于这部电影,着实让我欣喜的是一开始时风笛的出现,这件奇怪的乐器发出的奇特声响常会让我想起,它发出的声音存在于电影的开始与结束,而它声音的特质——悠扬与凝重,就恰好与这部电影贴近地融为一体。悠扬,大概是从Keating老师吹着口哨从教室前门进入又走出教室后门开始,或许更早点,当我们看到成片的黑鸟从秋日的草地飞起,掠过树梢,翅膀拍出湖上的波纹开始,悠扬就产生了,但这悠扬里到底已经显示了影片的凝重,因为成群的黑鸟忽然就遮去了整个画面中的蓝天。
像所有春风化雨题材的电影或电视一样,我们的学生若不是有着外在的桎梏就是有着心理上的羁绊,而我们的老师就会以一个引导和改变的角色出现。在《放牛班的春天》里,马修老师用他五线谱上的音符温润了一个冰冷的喉咙,让学生们发出来自胸腔的天籁,而在《死亡诗社》里Keating老师,他选择了诗歌。
诗歌,从来就是灵魂上的事,与古老和传统无关,它是来自精神的,于是我们的Keating老师只能以一个反传统的面貌出现,他让学生们欢快地撕去教科书的导论,让学生站在桌子上以另一个角度看世界,引导学生用精神作诗,用运动作诗,用自由意志作诗。
第一节课他在校史纪念室的讲话,他给予学生carpe diem的精神,及时行乐,趁着年轻做自己想做的事。在Keating老师还没出现之前,学生们其实已经在反传统了,这可以从他们更改学校的四大信念看出,但他们仍是囿于父母的安排、兄长的阴影、爱情的困惑,但carpe diem的出现让他们在反传统反束缚的路上走得更远。carpe diem不是放纵,而是勇敢。他们开始敢于做自己想做的事,自以为做不到的事和不敢做的事,他们在深夜的山洞中从事着类似宗教狂热的活动——诵诗,没错,还有什么比这样的青春更悠扬的曲调。
遗憾的是,当悠扬渐行渐远,苦涩就出现了,来自校方、父母与情敌的力量显然比青春强大,他们是不会允许离经叛道出现的,于是冬天来到的时候他们的carpe diem也由苦涩转为凝重,在现实下,这份凝重甚至是以生命为代价。
尽管在尼尔自杀前导演已经做了足够多的铺垫,但他的死仍是显得突兀,他父亲的反应也看起来歇斯底里,站不住脚,这部分的剧情太过强硬,仿佛只是为了让情节得以继续,让传统显示出它的丑陋面目,让Keating老师最终离开他心爱的学校。
当他收拾东西离开,学生们站到桌子上表达对他的怀念时,他一定不会后悔,因为他授予学生的东西仍存在学生的心里,这样的心情或许《放牛班的春天》里的马修老师看到满天的纸飞机时也体会到了。

影片主要讲了一群学生在基丁老师的指导下学会如何选择自己的人生,反抗给予他们压抑和束缚的教学体制,但又以一个学生的自杀和基丁老师的被辞为结尾。情节的安排行云流水,没有任何花哨,只是在喜剧式的上半场走到沉郁的结局时,多少让人有点心情黯淡了,但正是这种被现实挫败的感觉,和着最后一个场景里抑郁中的高潮。让人回味无穷。
一生中我们不可缺少像基丁这样的老师,他是学生的伯乐,他努力的挖掘孩子们心中对自己梦想的渴望,让他们释放自我,努力做回自己,不被复杂腐朽的教育制度所捆绑,基丁用他的人格魅力感染着这一群在禁锢里压抑太久的年轻人,让他们恢复了飞翔的勇气和向往飞翔的激情。现实生活中我们要怀揣着梦想,否则只能混入庸俗的人流中。
我们要为梦想而奋斗,而不是知难而退,文中的尼尔,托德,一个是完完全全听从父亲的话的人,他的思想和梦想总是被压得严严实实,让他没有一丝空间,最后在基丁的开导下,他实现了自己的,但下台后又面临了父亲的严肃的面孔。但他并不屈服,他用父亲的手枪结束了生命,捍卫了自己的梦想。托德一位内向的优秀生,他总是把自己裹的严严实实,从不多说话。但他的内心却如炽热的岩浆一样沸腾。他渴望自己能开朗优秀,最后基丁老师开导他实现了梦想。
《死亡诗社》这部电影充分表现了当时社会的腐朽,思想的禁锢,对我们现在仍有许多启迪。
