各位专家,你们好!
我是《商务英语视听说》课程组主讲教师蔡洁仪,现在由我代表课程组对《商务英语视听说》这门课程进行说课。
一、《商务英语视听说》课程在人才培养方案中的地位和作用
《商务英语视听说》是我院商务英语、旅游英语、酒店管理等三个专业的一门专业基础课程,旨在培养学生的口语、听力和表达能力。
本课程是一门重要的英语专业基础必修课程,从学生入学就开设,开设四个学期,共144学时。
该课程充分利用网络先进信息技术,融合丰富的视频、音频、flash等多媒体表现手法以及纯正英美发音的标准示范、进行跟读模拟、录音对比、机器判断等先进的信息技术教学,以自主学习为主,教师教学为辅,有效的把 “视”“听”“说”三位一体完美结合,满足学生交互式、个性化需要。通过商务场景训练,培养学生英语听说能力以及商务交际能力。
二、《商务英语视听说》课程教学设计及改革思路
1.教学目标的改革
该课程在充分利用网络先进技术的基础上,最大限度吸收和继承原有的课堂教学优点,改革英语教学和人才培养模式,发挥多媒体技术在英语学习中的作用,通过学生自主学习、个性化学习和协作学习目标,培养学生的学习能力、协作能力和应用能力,为将来工作的需要打下坚实的基础。本课程旨在创设实际工作情境,使我系学生了解和熟练掌握常用的商务英语听说能力,通过商务视听说项目导向,实施任务驱动,提高学生的商务英语应用能力。作为实践性很强的技能训练课程,本课程只适度涉及听说理论,高度重视实践性教学环节,通过商务英语实操,以真实的工作任务为训练项目,将教学实践与商务实训项目结合起来,培养具有较高英语应用能力,适应国际交流、实践能力强的高等技能型人才。
2.教材的改革
本课程十分重视实用性教材的开发和创新,目前使用的《新时代交互英语》具有高品质的教学资源。包括网络课程学习系统、网络辅助平台、教学软件、教科书、参考书等。它的特点首先是充分利用先进信息技术,融合丰富的视频、音频、flash等多媒体表现手法以及纯正英美发音的标准示范,把 “视”“听”“说”三位一体完美结合;其次是注重基础、培养兴趣,激发学生学习主观能动性和积极性,满足不同学生交互式、个性化、自主学习的需要。除此以外,它表现形式立体多样,活泼新颖,技术性强,安全可靠,便于操作。课程组在方 1
健壮教授主持下,综合了国内各种相关实用性教材,校企合作编写了英语视听说教材,以行业的发展为依据,不断进行调整和更新,保证了本课程教学内容的实践性和开放性。课程讲义、课件、案例、习题、实训实习项目、学习指南等讲学相关资料齐全,符合课程设计要求,能充分满足网络课程教学需要。
3.主要教学方法和手段的改革
1)教学方法的改革
国内同类高职院校视听说课程往往以教师讲授为主学生实践为辅。本课程教学注重引入新的教学理念和设计新的教学模式与教学方法,构建以职业能力培养为核心的知识体系。按照“教学做”合一的总体原则,根据课程特点和内容选择以自主学习及以学生为中心的“任务型”(task-based)教学法和“合作学习”(collaborative learning)教学法结合,积极探索情境教学、实例教学、项目教学、讨论式教学、探究式教学等教学方法,充分发挥学生的主观能动性和积极性。体现了以学生为中心,教师为辅助的教学原则。
2)教学手段的改革。
对于商务英语视听说的讲解,采取融合教学模式和案例教学模式,融“理论、演示、练习、反馈”于一体,提高学习兴趣与效果。通过举一反三的国际交流案例教学,培养学生的归纳与演绎能力。完成课程知识点的学习,教师给予一定的讲解并巡回指导,学生以自主学习为主,强调师生之间互动,学生之间多向反馈。
注重理论与实践相结合。构建以工学结合为特征的“岗位主导,德能并重,产教结合,学做一体”的人才培养模式,形成由“职业素质课程、语言文化课程、专业技能力课程、职业拓展课程”组成的“新四块”课程体系。这些课程的实施有的在教室完成,有的在企业完成,使学生能够在“学中看”、“看中学”、“学中干”、“干中学”。对于商务英语性质以及职业要求的教学内容,采取观察教学模式、环境陶冶教学模式和体验教学模式。明确观察要求,了解生产实际,逐步形成专业思想框架,在企业的生产性环境中进行训练,建立专业或某一专业课程的感性认识,进行职业素质教育。由企业人员指导学生观察和讨论并形成报告。对商务英语工作岗位职责产生认同及内化。每月组织学生开展一次实践活动,教师与兼职教师参与实践指导。如每月一次的大型presentation,自选题目的商务场景模拟表演,英语听说比赛、英语演讲比赛、电影配音、英语话剧、英语角等课外活动,提高了学生的学习兴趣。
在技巧操练过程中,采取行为导向教学模式、任务教学模式、项目教学模式和合作教学模式。通过规范的实训,以某一商务英语项目为载体,实施任务驱动,完成技能训练。教师讲解实践要求。学生在已掌握的部分专业知识和技能基础上,独立或合作搜集资料、调研、完成某一项目。以活动为载体,提高学生英语语言技术应用能力并培养人际关系能力。如每学期广交会期间所有学生必须参加的校外实训。以下详细为大家讲解部分校外实训的内容。
1中山市小榄镇 ○
本课程组成员牵头于2009年促成学院与中山市小榄镇建立了一个“校、企、镇”三方联动的综合性实习基地。通过商务英语视听说培养,使我院成为小榄镇人力资源与技术服务人才资源库。小榄镇二万多家企业同时为我院学生开放,打通了实习、见习、就业直通车。
2广州益武国际展览有限公司 ○
到目前为止,学生已经在广州益武国际展览有限公司接待了来自二十多个国家的外宾10万余人,均取得了很好的社会服务效果,特别是办证处的学生需要面对来自不同国度的外商,接触各种各样的英语,但是学生们仍然能够应对自如,表现出优秀的商务英语听说能力,得到了公司的肯定,很多学生也获得了优秀实习生的称号。另外,益武公司也举办茶博会,我校也有学生参与其中的服务工作,公司领导对学生的表现普遍非常满意,显示出我系学生良好的商务英语听说能力和职业素养。课程组成员对学生的实习进行全面的指导,取得了较好的效果。
3中山古镇国际灯饰博览会 ○
到目前为止,学生已经接待并服务了来自全球130多个国家和地区的客户。每年一度的灯博会是我们的商学结合平台,以灯具及相关产品的国际贸易流程为载体,设计学习情景;学生以团队形式与灯博会相关参展企业签订协议,到灯饰产品展销现场,以完成企业灯饰产品展销任务为目的商务英语视听说课程教学。在企业兼职教师与本课程组成员的共同指导下,学生在真实的国际贸易环境中,进行商务谈判、建立合同、履行合同及售后服务等方面的专业学习和英语视听说技能训练,解决在贸易业务中遇到的沟通方式、谈判技巧、货源采购、报关检验、物流配送、制单结汇等实际问题,并有效掌握这些环节中相关的商务英语视听说技能。
4各大酒店/宾馆 ○
白云宾馆、流化宾馆、金桥酒店、喜来登大酒店、丽思卡尔顿大酒店等20多个四星级以上的酒店/宾馆与我系建立了实习基地。在每次广交会期间让学生到酒店的各个需要外语人才的岗位上服务,进行校外实训。把商务英语视听说课堂直接放在各大酒店,让学生真正实施“在干中学”。
○5生产性校内实训基地
与广东中国旅行社入境游有限公司、广州市汇粤国际旅游有限公司、广之旅国际旅行社股份有限公司合作建立了以真实性生产项目为导向的商务旅游中心,把涉及商务、旅游的真实业务搬到校园,进行生产性实训,让学生接触商务旅游实务,掌握真实的岗位技能,为学生提供任务驱动式的商务英语视听说校内实训平台。
这些教学活动有着传统课堂教学无法比拟的优势,在很大程度上锻炼了学生的语言表达能力和国际交流能力。
4.教学内容及环节的改革
本课程在教学内容的设计上突出对涉外英语交流职业素养的养成和技能的训练,强调工作中对于英语口语工具的使用,提高学生竞争能力。教学内容始终围绕如何让学生获取商务语言知识,培养商务沟通技能,养成涉外商旅职业素质进行选取,为培养学生学习兴趣,扩大学习范围,提高商务语言能力而设计,除了注重语言材料的真实地道、正确实用外,还十分注重语言应用能力、学习策略、国际交流等培养。包含电视报道等在内的大量录像资料,为学生营造商务语言环境。针对职业岗位能力要求选取教学内容,创设实际商务会话场景对应过程组织教学,实施以学生自主学习为主,教师课堂教授为辅。
《商务英语视听说》课程组将商务英语行业所需要的概念性知识、关联性知识和系统性的知识贯穿于本课程所设计的所有环节中:
1)以外事商务工作任务及工作过程为依据,根据商务行业的需求整合教学内容。从商务工作任务和工作过程出发,从需要的具体知识出发,把工作任务作为工作过程知识的载体,并按照商务职业能力发展规律构建教学内容,着力培养学生的英语能力;
2)根据学习性工作任务,实现“教、学、做”结合以及理论与实践一体化。我们通过把课堂设在景点,或者说课堂按景点的要求布设,把教室、实训基地融为一体,营造出良好的职业氛围与环境;此外,实现课内外有机衔接,通过英文导游大赛、商务推介、模拟谈判、翻译等活动强化机能;
3)根据教学内容的组织安排,合理设计本课程的实训、实习等教学环节,体现校内、校外实训及顶岗实习的有机衔接。我们的学生利用一年两次,为期六周的实训周在广州国际美食节、旅游文化节、广交会、或各重大活动期间到旅行社、酒店、景点等商务现场为外宾提供翻译服务、导游服务、产品销售等服务。
5.教学评价体系的改革
根据学生认知规律和掌握外语实际应用能力的内在逻辑,对学习过程进行严格的教学设计、预定教学目标和要求。实行过程评价、阶段性评价和形成性评价相结合,为学生寻找薄弱环节、适应考试、调整学习计划和方法提供良好选择。符合学生认知规律,实现学生语言应用能力、学习策略等能力的培养。
三、课程教学条件
本课程实践教学基础已具有很好的规模,配备有专门的英语语言实训室及商贸英语实训室,其中“商贸英语实训室”是由广东科技园软件公司与我院国际商务系共同建立的具有仿真性质的校内实训基地。这两个语言实训基地能够满足课程仿真实训的需要,设备、设施利用率高。
此外,可以利用的校内其他实训基地4个(语言实训基地、秘书实训基地、商务实训基地、旅游实训基地),实训室8个。实训基地设备先进,拥有数字语言教室、多媒体自主学习课室、英语在线辅助教学系统等设施,能满足课程校内实践教学的需要,具有仿真商务语言职业氛围。实训基地创设了真实的职业氛围,语言自主学习室资源库里有大量商务软件和资料,学生可以通过在线模拟商务任务过程,有效地培养学生的语言应用能力。
四、课程教学效果
本课程受到校内师生、校外专家和社会行业专家的一致好评。
1)校外专家评价
广东外语外贸大学高级翻译学院副院长、著名口译研究专家莫爱屏教授认为: “教学的关键在教师,该课程组的全体教师水平高,热情高,教学科研两不误,两方面都取得了丰硕的成果。在高职高专商务英语教学和研究,特别是在网络环境下的视听说教学模式进行了积极有益的探索,并取得了令人满意的效果„”
广东软件科学园软件出口基地总经理、广州市天安电脑技术研究所所长江南充分肯定了课程的实践效果,他说:“„ 课程设置合理,教学内容丰富,有利于充分调动学生的学习积极性;教学手段先进,不断吸收最先进的教学理念,根据实际情况,动态地进行改革和提高。该课程尤其注重实践,与广东省内乃至全国知名展会有密切的联系,使翻译的实践性、现实意义得到充分体现,充分展现了视听说实践教学效果。”
国际商务系酒管专业指导委员会主任委员,裕通大酒店高级顾问,原广之旅副总经理、监事会主席孙明光也给出了全面的评价:“该课程组的教师们勇于突破传统的视听说教学方法,并开展一些具有前沿性的理论研究。课程组教师们注重课堂教学的组织,善于设计有利于学生听说技能发展的实践任务,并结合商务知识学习,我相信这将是一门持续性发展良好的高职听说课程。希望能有更多这样的课程出现在高职、高专院校。”

我院教学督导、院学术委员会委员、英语专业带头人刘保安教授说:“该课程教师充满朝气,工作上兢兢业业,任劳任怨,刻苦钻研教学理论和教学方法,收到良好的教学效果,学生的听力和口语能力得到了提高„”
我院教学督导、广州大学外国语学院肖坤学教授认为:“商务视听说教学课程组教师备课认真,平时注重备教学过程中的重点和难点。在教学过程中,每个老师都充满激情,注重与学生的互动。我观察到学生们都喜欢这门课程,认为从中可以学到不少知识和技巧。因此,我认为这是一门开设非常成功的课程。”
3)校内学生评价
旅游英语专业学生李河晓是2009年CCTV希望之星英语风采大赛广东赛区三等奖的获得者,她认为《商务英语视听说》这门课是自己最喜欢的课之一。同学们对人机对话的上课形式很满意,说每一次做软件,练习听力和口语,都感觉自己的表达能力和语音语调都有所
提升,对于老师所教授的商务技巧,有不少已经能够应用。
中央电视台第五届“希望之星”英语风采大赛广东赛区大学组冠军、最佳语音奖的覃梅玲同学认为该课程组教师知识广博、表达清晰、条理分明、分析到位、联系实际,课堂气氛活跃。
五、课程特色
本课程经过多年的建设,在五个主要方面形成了鲜明的特色和创新点:
1)充分利用先进信息技术,融合丰富的视频、音频、flash等多媒体表现手法以及纯正英美发音的标准示范、进行跟读模拟、录音对比、机器判断等先进的信息技术教学,有效的把“视”“听”“说”三位一体完美结合,满足学生交互式、个性化、自主学习需要。
2)针对职业岗位能力要求选取教学内容,创设实际商务会话场景对应过程组织教学,实施以学生自主学习为主,教师课堂教授为辅。学生在自行完成计算机软件系统练习之余,教师围绕画面和情节内容开展有针对性的口语会话训练。通过商务概念介绍和中西方商务文化对比,扩大学生的知识面,提高学生的商务听说技能。
3)每月组织学生开展一次实践活动,教师与兼职教师参与实践指导。如每月一次的大型presentation,自选题目的商务场景模拟表演,英语听说比赛、电影配音、话剧、英语角等课外活动,提高了学生的学习兴趣。这些教学活动有着传统课堂教学无法比拟的优势,在很大程度上锻炼了学生的语言表达能力和国际交流能力。

求。
2)加强对学生个性化学习过程有效监控。

英语作为重要的载体之一,已成为人类生活各个领域中使用最广泛的语言。随着我国现代化建设的不断发展,我们与国外的交往越来越频繁,培养学生的英语口语表达能力就显得更加重要。但目前的现状却是:日常生活中学生使用英语进行交流的机会很少,交际质量不高,交际水平仅仅停留在一般的模仿背诵上,“哑巴式”英语依然存在,这与现实的要求相差太远,因此必须加强和改进英语口语的教学,这是素质教育发展的需要,也是时代赋予我们广大英语教育工作者的使命。
《商务英语听说》的教学目的在于培养学生良好的口头表达习惯,提高口头表达和交际能力,加深他们对英、美国家政治、经济、文化各方面的了解和认识。

《商务英语听说》是一门以培养学生口头表达和交际能力为目的的技能课,是中等专业学校英语专业学生在基础阶段的必修课程之一。口语是英语教学中四项基本技能之一,也是中国学生的一个难点。用英语进行口头表达、交际是英语语言运用的一个重要方面。对英语口语的专门训练可以提高学生的表达能力、对语言的运用能力,同时还丰富学生社会文化知识,增强学生对文化差异的敏感性,培养学生自觉运用语言的习惯,树立开口讲英语的信心。

4.课程内容和要求
《商务英语听说》课程标准对学生的口语和听力都提出了明确的要求,指出“学生能听懂英语的表达;能复述课文大意;讲述与本学段水平相当的小故事并参与简单的模拟和角色扮演的活动;能就熟悉的话题进行交流和演讲。”
另外,提供视听材料,通过“视”、“听”、“说”的结合,以直接画面和情节内容为基础展开有针对性的口语训练,运用复述、总结、对话、口头概述、即席演讲等活动形式,提高口头表达能力。
5.实施建议 5.1教学建议
(1)五分钟free talk :每天上课前利用五分钟的时间,轮流由一位学生上台说英语,为每一个学生提供在众人面前说英语的机会。对说的内容、说的时间长短不加限制,一年级上学期时侧重简单的会话,进而围绕问候、告别、感谢、应答、道歉、打电话、意愿、问路等十几项功能强化交际性的口语训练。下学期时安排讲英语小故事,可以介绍家庭、个人情况等或能用简单的英语讲述自己经历的事情。还可以安排一至二名学生限时复述课文。台上学生讲,台下学生听,一举两得,久而久之大部分学生的胆量得到了锻炼,口语能力也逐渐得到提高。
(2)角色扮演:口语能力只有在一个人想说时才能得到磨练,而角色扮演为提高学生的口语能力提供了动机和机会,角色扮演既可激发学生学习的兴趣,还可激发学生学习的动机。角色扮演可由师生或学生扮演不同的角色,把课文以小短剧的形式表演给大家。表演的方法可以是单纯的会话表演,也可准备或制作一些简单的道具,把讲台当作学生表演小话剧的舞台。每学期还可组织学生开展课文短剧表演比赛。角色扮演为学生训练口语提供了真实的场景,它克服了语言学习的枯燥感,使语言学习充满了活力。同时,学生的口头表达能力也得到了提高。
(3)英语沙龙:俗话说得好“拳不离手,曲不离口”,口语能力的培养单靠课堂45分钟是不够的,应充分利用好学生的课余时间。英语沙龙是课堂的有效延伸,它为学生尝试运用英语提供了机会。这里的交际活动大部分是真实的、自然的,不象在课堂里受到时间、空间的限制。学生通过用英语进行交际,获得信息,拓展了知识的深度和广度,逐步养成了用英语思维的习惯。英语沙龙活动由班级口语能力较强的学生担任组长,为了使学生在活动交流的时候有话可讲,每次活动前可以公布话题,让组员精心准备,扫清障碍。沙龙活动时学生们可以自由交流,无拘无束,讲错了也无妨。英语沙龙是英语交际环境的模拟,交际活动时学生无压力,心理负担小,学生可在英语沙龙活动中锻炼胆量,增强英语口语表达的自信。
(4)布置有声作业:实践证明,带有竞赛性质的游戏评比活动,并能将它贯穿在教学的始终,不但对学生产生一种教学魅力,能把学生牢牢地吸引在教学磁场里,更重要的是提高了学生的学习兴趣,满足了学生的自我表现欲望及喜欢竞争的心理,还培养了他们听、说、读、写的综合能力。让学生将他们朗读的内容用录音机录制在磁带上,每天抽查学生数的二分之一,并把读得好得磁带推荐给学生,在全班播放,予以表扬。通过抽听学生的磁带,从中还可以发现语音、语调、语法等问题,改进教学,提高教学效果。布置有声作业还有利于培养性格内向型学生的自信心,在课堂上他们不敢开口,对于这一部分学生在给予热情帮助的同时,可以多布置一些录音作业,并经常在班上播放他们的磁带,定期评比出“英语朗读之星”。久而久之他们就会摆脱自卑的情绪,英语学习的自信心也会随之增强。
5.2教材编写原则
(1)教材应符合学生的身心发展特点,适应学生的认知水平。
(2)教材应注意引导学生掌握口语交际和交流的方法。课堂练习应该注重实效。
(3)教材要有开放性和弹性。在合理安排基本课程内容的基础上,给教师留有开发、选择的空间,也为学生留出选择和拓展的空间,以满足不同学生学习和发展的需要。
5.3教学评价建设
考核包括平时成绩、课堂练习和各项教学活动中的参与情况,以及学生对学习过程的自我监控情况。
每学期期中、期末均安排课程考试,考试形式为口试。考试内容应以所指定教材为基本依据,实行考试。
本课程的考核形式:考试
学生最终成绩由期末考试成绩、期中考试成绩、平时成绩(含考勤、作业、课堂表现、测验)三大部分构成。总成绩=平时成绩的30%+期中成绩的30%+期末成绩的40%。
5.4课程资源的开发与利用
听说的课程资源包括课堂教学资源和课外学习资源,例如:各项视听材料,通过“视”、“听”、“说”的结合,以直接画面和情节内容为基础展开有针对性的口语训练,运用复述、总结、对话、口头概述、即席演讲等活动形式,提高听力和口头表达能力。
