小学英语听力的训练教学研究论文
教育部提出,小学英语教学的重点是培养学生用语言进行交流的能力,应做到听、说、读、写、玩、演、视全面综合训练,重点是听、说。而在整个英语学习的过程中,“听”作为信息的输入,又是说的基础,是读、写、唱、对话的前提。学生具有良好的听力理解能力,才能更快更多地获得准确的信息,才能通过“听”拥有更广阔的英语学习途径。由此可见“听”在整个英语学习过程中的重要地位,它是首当其冲的,在小学英语教学中具有重要意义。“听”是获得信息的主要手段,是理解和获取口头信息交际能力的体现,是英语后继学习的基础和保证。
近年来,随着小学英语课程改革的推进,各地的小学英语课堂教学在新课程理念的指导下呈现出一派如火如荼的景象,英语课越来越受小学生们欢迎了。然而通过广泛的资料查阅和在小学的实际教学、听课过程中,我发现,听力训练在当前小学英语教学过程中仍然是一个薄弱环节,学生的“听”的技能普遍较弱,从而不同程度地影响了他们的说、读、写能力的综合发展,给小学英语教学的可持续发展埋下了隐患。
一、小学英语教学中听力训练的现状
纵观当前小学英语教学的整个过程,经过实际的听课、调查,并结合自身的英语教学,我对小学英语教学的现状有了一定的了解。就目前来说,听力训练在小学英语教学中还没有受到应有的重视,学生的“听”的技能没有得到很好的训练和发展。通过分析和总结,我发现制约小学生听力发展的因素,主要有以下四个方面:
(一)语音教学存在缺失
语音是语言存在的物质基础。语音教学是整个英语教学发展的起点,在语音阶段不打下扎实的基础,单词的读音就有问题。单词不会读或读不准,直接影响到单词的记忆和积累,同时学生的听力理解能力也会受到相应的阻碍。因为学生在听的过程中,即使信息中的单词已经学过,也会因为单词不会读或与自己的发音有差异而对单词感到陌生,从而造成理解上的困难。
经过调查研究,我发现当前小学英语教学中在语音方面普遍存在缺失,主要是教师们对语音教学重视不够,具体表现为:
1.对发音的到位与否把关不严,如浊辅音发成清辅音(如nose读成[n?us])、单元音发成双元音(如wit读成[weit])等。2.对连读和不完全爆破等朗读技巧缺乏训练和指导,如小学英语四年级上册Unit5中的重点句是这样的:Whatwouldyoulikefordinner?这里的wouldyou需要连读,而我在小学听课过程中发现,很多小学生在读该句的时候,都是把wouldyou分开来读的,而教师也没有及时发现或给予相关的训练和指导。
3.对字母音和拼读规则的渗透不够。
上述这些问题不利于学生在读单词时进行音、形结合,影响其听力理解能力的发展。
(二)听觉刺激手段单一性和缺乏实效性
传统的小学英语教学过程中,作为接收信息的“听”方面,形式单一。绝大部分同学停留在听老师讲课和听课文录音这个层面,这固然重要,但是课堂教学的时间与获得良好的听力理解能力所需的时间相差甚远。学生仅靠课堂上有限的时间来进行学习和训练,那是远远不够的。
再者,以听课文录音为主要的听觉刺激手段缺乏实效性。传统的听说教学方法是让学生听课文录音,然后教师根据课文内容提出问题让学生回答。从实质上来看,这种教学方法只局限于对课文进行细节性和事实性的听力理解训练。学生一旦对课文内容有了大概的了解,不听录音一般也能回答教师所提出的问题;从教学的动机与效果相统一的角度来看,这种教学方法对于提高学生听力理解能力来说还不是一种有效的方法。
(三)听力训练材料少,时间安排不合理
目前,适合小学生进行英语听力训练的既有意义,又有趣味性的语料还很少见。由于小学生的英语语言知识和词汇量十分有限,直接照搬英语原文作为听力语料往往是不可能的,这也就给小学英语听力教学带来了一定的难度。此外,当前小学英语教学中的听力训练在时间安排上也有不合理之处,学生很少有专门的听力训练时间,而且时间短,一般不超过10分钟,时间长度不够,刺激就不充分,学生的听力理解能力就很难得到训练和提高。公务员之家
(四)听力训练枯燥乏味,学生主动性不高
目前,小学英语教学过程中采用的最多的听力训练方式就是教师让学生先听录音,然后回答问题,这种训练方式是比较枯燥乏味的。小学生年龄小、好奇心强、注意力容易转换,这样的方式显然不适合小学生的学习,而且容易造成大脑疲劳,很难引起小学生的兴趣和注意。小学生本来就对学习意义的认识不是很深刻,在学习上没有强烈的需要,难免会在学习过程中表现出消极的情绪,学习的主动性不是很高。如果再辅以这样单
一、枯燥的训练方式,那么听力训练的效果就不言而喻了。听力训练是英语教学的基础,而在实际的小学英语教学中又忽视了这一点,影响了整个小学英语教学,怎么办呢?我认为,首先应该重视起来,然后开展多种形式的训练,以达到小学英语听力教学的最优化,切实提高学生的听力理解能力。
二、科学有效的听力训练策略
(一)加强语音教学,促进听力理解能力的提高
教师在英语学习的入门阶段要加强语音教学,注意区分和模仿正确的语音、语调。英语中有很多单词的读音是很相似的,如tail[teil]和tell[tel],但是它们的意义完全不同,前者是一个名词,指“尾巴”,而后者是一个动词,是“告诉”的意思,两者之间根本没有联系,因此需要教师在进行语音教学时严格把关。英语中还有一些单词的读音是完全相同的,如meet和meat,两个单词都读作[mi:t],但是意义也截然不同,这就要求学生牢固地掌握这两个单词的意义,根据具体的语境来加以区分,辨别听力材料中涉及到的究竟是哪一个单词,才能获得准确的信息。
“模仿是英语学习成功的钥匙之一,语言学习在很大程度上取决于听准教师的发音,取决于模仿教师或教学语音材料的技能。”①教师在语音教学过程中,要培养学生积极模仿的英语学习习惯。既要模仿单词的读音,也要模仿句子的朗读。不同语境中要有不同的语调,加强对连读和不完全爆破等朗读技巧的训练和指导,让学生在语音阶段打下扎实的基础,以确保学生在听力训练的过程中能够听清每一个单词,从而提高听力理解能力。
(二)听觉刺激手段多样化,多渠道培养学生的听力
教师在教学过程中,应尽可能利用各种教学手段,刺激学生的听觉。教师根据教学需要,选择既有知识性,又富趣味性的图片、音像资料辅助教学,创造与重视语言客观环境,如通过听一些欢快的儿童英语歌曲或者观看一些益智的英语动画片,视听结合,调动学生学习的积极性,提高听觉刺激效果。教师还要指导学生在英语学习的过程中学会倾听,既要认真听老师讲课,还要注意倾听英语课上同学们的发言,并给予恰当的回答;在业余时间也要多渠道培养自己的听力理解能力,在家时多听录音磁带、英语广播节目,接触地道的英语,利用影视、网络等媒体进行听力训练。要让他们养成在听的过程中思维不断活动,进行或跟踪、预测,或判断、归纳和整理的习惯,使他们做到当语流在句子中中断,也可以对说者表达的话进行推测,通过多种渠道提高自己的听力素养。
(三)科学设计听力训练 1.听力材料的挑选 听力材料的挑选必须遵循以下两个原则:①听力材料要具有知识性、连贯性;②要适合小学生的听力水平。但是,目前符合这两条原则的听力材料还比较少。因此,需要教师根据教学实际情况自编听力材料。教师在自编材料的过程中,要根据学生的听力发展水平,循序渐进,难度不宜过大,逐步提高学生的听力水平。
2.听力训练的方式
①泛听与精听相结合:泛听时注意力集中在整个内容的大意,如:Whatisthestoryabout?训练学生特别注意文章开头和结尾的句子,培养捕捉问题的能力。精听时注意力集中在语言材料的细节,如:Wherearethey?培养学生识别关键词(what、when、where、who、why等)的能力。
②听与模仿和写(复现)相结合:如教师读一个句子、一个段落或者在放一节录音之后,可作短暂的停顿,让学生集体口头重述所听到的内容。然后按此做法继续下去,直至听说活动的结束。也可让学生听写句子,并让学生之间对听写的材料互相修改、订正,最后再放一次录音作为最终订正的标准。该法有利于将听力训练与其他技能训练相结合,使学生增强信心,有利于学生发展用外语思维的能力。
③及时反馈,运用鼓励性评价
教师在对学生进行听力训练的过程中,还要注意及时反馈。听力训练的情况进行得如何,要靠反馈来表现。反馈有时表现得不那么显著,具有一定的弹性,往往容易被人忽略,因此需要教师有意识地观察掌握,加强对学生听力训练过程的跟踪记载,以便及时调整听力训练策略。反馈形式可以多样化,如问答形式、填空形式、是非判断形式、听写或记录形式等。同时,在反馈过程中,教师要适时运用鼓励性评价,对每个学生的学习情况加以肯定,并激励他们更努力地去学习。
3.听力训练的时间安排
小学生英语听力的培养和提高是一个潜移默化的过程,它是不能靠短期强化、突击训练取得较好效果的。因此,听力训练需要学生循序渐进、持之以恒。每天安排一段时间进行听力训练,时间不宜过长,坚持在30分钟左右,这主要是提供一次给耳朵和大脑接收有声语言输入的刺激过程。听力训练需要思想高度集中,时间安排在每天精神最佳时候为宜。
(四)强化学生的主体意识,激发学生的学习兴趣
教师要对学生进行正确的教育,经常和学生讨论学好英语的重要性,英语在当今世界上的广泛应用等,让他们意识到英语在未来工作中有着不可替代的作用,从而产生英语学习的需要,不断提高自己的听力理解能力,为以后用英语交际打下扎实的基础,真正强化自己的主体意识。
教师还要注重学生学习兴趣的培养。大部分学生的求知欲是建立在兴趣上的,使学生获得持久的兴趣,是促进学生听力理解能力发展的基础条件。苏霍姆林斯基说过:“如果你只指望靠表面看得见的刺激来激发学生对学习、对课程的兴趣,那就永远也培养不出学生对脑力劳动的真正热爱。要力求使学生亲自去发现兴趣的源泉,使他们在这种发现中感到自己付出了劳动和有进步。这本身就是一个最主要的兴趣源泉。”②从中,可以看出,教师不仅要从外部进行刺激来激发学生的兴趣,更重要的是通过内部刺激,激发学生的主体意识,认识学习的意义,使学生在听力训练过程中获得持久的兴趣,以此激励自己不断努力,提高自己的听力水平。
总之,听力是一种积极的思维过程。只要我们对听力的重要性有了清楚的认识,积极更新教育观念,努力发展听力教学的能力,从学生的心理和生理特点出发,灵活运用各种教学技巧和方法,强化学生的主体意识,激发学生的主体情感,就能使学生的听力理解能力得到发展和不断提高,为小学英语教学的可持续发展打下扎实的基础。

一、问题的提出
听力即听的能力,指学生吸收和理解言语材料所载信息交际能力。它是一种主动型、隐性的技能。小学生通过听,可大量吸收新的语言材料,加深所学语言的认识,并在此基础上不断促进说、读、写各项技能的发展。重视听力教学,不仅符合语言学规律,也是现代英语学习的需要;是改变现行英语教学重读写,轻听说现象,摆脱“哑巴英语”、“聋子英语”通病的形势所趋!
但是小学生的英语听力存在以下几方面的问题:
(1)情感因素,有些学生在听英语时,信心不足,心情过分紧张、焦虑、压抑、其 心理语言活动过程就处在压抑状态,思维变得迟钝,难以发挥正常的听力水平;相反,如果处在良好的心理状态和良好的环境时,心情轻松愉快,充满信心,没有心理压力,就能发挥出应有的水平而获得成功,同时又增强了学习的自信心和积极性,形成良性循环。
(2)有的同学在听的过程中,常常怕犯错误而被嘲笑,在多次犯错后容易产生信心不足,甚至自卑。因此,在进行听力训练时,应注意难易适中,由简到难,循序渐进,不断鼓励,让学生保持积极性,树立信心,获得成功感。
(3)知识、技能因素听力的良好发挥有赖于良好的知识与技能基础,如语音、词汇、句型、语意、语境、日常交际用语、文化背景等,这些知识和技能必然影响听者理解。学生常因以下知识的缺陷或没有正确的言语习惯而影响他们的听力。比如,当听力材料中出现一些新词,或者由于某种原因连读、弱读、失去爆破等语音现象引起听力困难。或者可能因为听力材料的语速太快,录音机效果不好,朗读者的口音,或有背景声音等使得听力变得困难,应该说这两方面都是听力学习中必然要遇到的困难,都是正常现象,初学者必须要过这一关。因此在听学习的过程中要充分了解一些读音规则,比如哪些情况下产生连读、弱读,哪几个音遇到另外一些音时失去爆破。还要知道在口语中人们一般使用缩略式而少用完全形式。如口语常说I’m there’s而少说I am there is等,因此了解自身困难、知识和技能的不足,及时地查缺补漏,对症下药,克服知识不足,这些都是提高听力的基本保障。
二、研究目标
通过对小学英语教学中的听力教学的研究,找到一条适合于小学生的听力教学的方法,帮助小学生克服学习英语过程中的听力困难。
三、研究对象和研究方法
研究对象:以3--6年级为研究对象
研究方法:以课堂为阵地,凸显学生主体,精心设计教案,灵活驾驭课堂,建构精彩环节,加强教学反思,及时撰写随笔,形成研究体系,探索教学规律。
四、操作措施
(1)构建和谐的师生关系
师生关系作为教学过程中最重要、最基本,同时也是最经常、最活跃的关系,直接影响着学生创新素质的形成。良好的师生关系对于学生创新素质的形成将有极大的裨益作用,不良的师生关系压抑着学生创新素质的形成。构建平等、民主、合作、理解、信任的师生关系,有利于帮助学生克服听力过程中的紧张心理,从而达到良好的发挥。
(2)坚持用英语组织教学,配合适当的肢体语言。
坚持用英语组织教学,要从最简单的日常用语开始,逐步加深,开始配以动作、表情或适当的解释说明,尽量避免用汉语讲述。这一环节是练习听力的良好机会,烘托英语课堂气氛,增强学生的求知欲,提供练习的频率。根据教学的需要,把声音与图画或实物、动作等配合帮助学生理解听力材料的内容。听力理解过程是一个复杂、积极、多层次化的思维理解心理过程。它除涉及到语音、语言、词汇外,还涉及到非语言知识,如兴趣、信心等非智力因素。所以英语教师除了注重教学大纲外,还需要顾及学生的要求和该年龄段学生的心理要素,采取有效的教学方法和策略,在发挥教师主导地位的同时,又调动学生的主观能动性,发挥学生的非智力因素,培养学生应变能力和听力技巧,这样才能他听力理解提高到更高的层次。
(3)精心安排内容和时间
教师在每个阶段的教学都要精心选择合适的材料,遵循“由易到难,逐步深入”的原则,从语音、词汇到短句,从短句到长句,从长句到短文,从短文到临场对话。有些老师把听力课上成了听力测试课,使课堂气氛沉闷,学生情感压抑,反应冷漠,教学效果不明显。因此,教师应该适时更换听的内容、改变听的形式,听的过程中可适当穿插一些幽默小故事、笑话、英文小诗、英文卡通或英文歌曲等,视听说相结合,在课堂上创造一种轻松、愉快、和谐的气氛,努力消除学生因害怕、焦虑、沉闷而产生的心理障碍。结合教材特点,选择口语多、语言规范、交际性强的材料,培养学生在真实语境中的应变能力。听力课宜采用短课时,有些学生还没有设置专门听力课,教师可利用英语课前5-10分钟进行省时、高效的训练。
(4)针对不同水平的学生听力水平,提出不同层次要求。
一个听力材料可适应各个层次学生的水平,对一个中等水平的学生,只需听出人物、时间、地点和事件;对水平较高的学生,则必须了解详细的内容。在练习时,不要让听力较好的学生把答案讲出来,要在小组讨论的基础上使学生形成一致或有差异的答案,再放录音,以便证实或修正已形成的答案。总之,要切实提高小学生的听力能力,教师应该采用灵活多样的教学手段和行之有效的教学方法,达到滴水穿石的效果。
五、研究成果
(1)通过循序渐进的训练,较好的帮助学生克服了听力过程中的紧张心理。
(2)激发了学生对于英语听、说的兴趣,我们对6个班的听力进行了测定,80%的同学能很快听明白与教材难度相当的短文及对话,并作出正确的回答。他们不再畏惧英语听力了,而是把它看作与读,写一样的基本能力,正确对待,并乐于练习。

摘 要:在大学英语教学中,加强听力训练、确立听力训练的基础地位是大势所趋,是英语教学发展的需要,也是由英语教学的规律所决定的。本文从选择合适的教材、坚持英语授课、培养学生语感、重视学生朗读、采用多种练习方式和强化文化背景知识六个方面对提高英语听力教学质量、提高学生英语听力水平进行了深入研究。

听力训练,是大学英语教学必不可少的一个重要环节,是英语学习的重要手段之一。听力训练能否搞好,直接影响到英语教学的质量,因为听觉练习同其他练习相互制约、相互促进,应该同读、写、说训练同步展开。但是由于教学学时的有限,英语学习的重点往往集中于语法学习和阅读理解上,听力训练往往受到一定的制约,是一个薄弱环节,所以学生的听力往往很难达到所要求的程度。因此,改进大学英语听力教学,使学生达到预期的一定程度的学习目标,教师应做好以下工作:
一、选择合适的教材
教师最重要的工作之一,就是为学生选择合适的听力材料。选择学生感兴趣的、语言程度适宜的教材,提供具体的指导并策划辅助活动等手段,都可以有效鼓励学生提高听力水平。例如可以选用外研社出版的英语教材,其中的主题听力材料比较适合中国学生的英语听力水平。课外听力材料最好从近几年出版的原版英语出版物中采用贴近现实生活和反映世界发展的多种话题,如当前的教育状况、科技发展、环境问题、社会文化等一系列具有现实性的话题。要用精心挑选的听力材料来吸引学生的注意力,满足他们从另一语音的视角看身边问题的好奇心,从而激发他们的学习兴趣,使学生真正听有所乐、听有所得,最终通过提高听力水平进一步促进英语综合技能的全面提高,形成英语学习的良性循环。
二、坚持英语授课
在课堂上,教师应坚持用英语提问题,学生用英语回答。针对本次课也可组织自由发言、分组讨论和轮流发言等多种形式的英语讨论,最后,由教师进行总结归纳,对学生经常犯的一些发音、语法方面的错误,及时予以纠正,既鼓励学生敢说敢犯错误,又教会他们如何少犯错误。对于一些常用的习语和句子,应要求学生在课堂上尽快掌握,其目的是帮助学生养成使用英语思考的良好习惯,同时锻炼他们的英语反应能力。
三、培养学生的英语语感
大学英语听力教学的重点在于培养学生的语感。
在授课过程中,教师应把语感的提高和发展放在首位,坚持遵循语言实践,系统讲解48个国际音标,使学生从中了解国际音标的特点,要求学生按规律熟练背诵元音音标和辅音音标,并突出重点、难点,示范解析元音长短音和辅音相似的音符。通过示范比较,使学生透彻地理解国际音标的功能和规律,能迅速地把所听词句用音标记下,从而掌握正确的拼音能力,有效地领会交际信息中语言的整体结构,加强英语语感。
四、重视学生朗读
朗读是英语听力教学中一个不可缺少的环节。朗读,是指大声洪亮地宣读,而非个人早已习惯的默读或低读。只有大声朗读,才可能使自己对已熟悉的词语在声音中更加巩固,特别是对于原来比较陌生的词语在“视”、“听”觉的直接作用下,把该词的音、形、义在大脑中迅速地统一起来,逐步在听音和朗读过程中学会用英语思维,克服心译障碍。
五、采用多种练习方式
听力训练不能采取单一形式,要进行多方面的、有系统的训练。一方面应加强语音辨别能力,巩固和提高学生对基本词汇、句型、语法的理解水平及以应用能力为目的的基础听力训练,另一方面是在此基础上的综合练习,练习内容包括语音、单词、句子、短文、场景会话及新闻等长一些的文章的理解,并采取辨音、听写、填空、选择填空、推测、问答、口头复述等多种练习方式。
六、强化文化背景知识
英语语言文化背景是学生英语学习中最基本的语言素质,是形成和发展其它英语素质的先决条件。传授文化背景知识是组织听力教学必不可少的一个环节。
教师应使学生了解外国的社会文化、风俗习惯方面的知识,有意地培养学生的文化意识,从而正确使用语言。教师在课堂上可选择一些能够有针对性地反映外国人生活习惯、行为方式和思想的内容以及时代感较强的有关反映外国社会、政治、经济、文学、艺术、历史、宗教等内容的资料,扩大学生的知识面,不断地了解外国的文化背景、风土人情,以增加学生在听音过程中的预知性和领悟感。总之,听力是英语语言的基础,加强听力训练,既能增加吸收语言材料的量、扩大知识面,又能提高听的能力。能听懂、能理解并做出回应才能有效地提高学生的交际能力,启发学生学习英语的兴趣。而且听力水平的提高还能促进学生口语能力、阅读能力、写作能力的提高,并促进学生英语语言的综合运用能力,成为社会所需要的合格的英语人才,这也正是大学英语教学改革的最终目的所在。
