一．形容词和副词的形式

形容词和副词有三种形式：原级、比较级、最高级。原级就是形容词和副词的原形，如long；比较级一般就是在原形之后加上er，如longer；最高级一般就是在原形之后加上est，如longest。二．形容词和副词比较级最高级的用法

1．形容词和副词的比较级用法：当两者进行比较时，形容词和副词要用比较级，也就是词尾-er形式。

比…更 比较级+than;和…一样 as…as;和…不一样/不如… not as/so…as = less than +原级

越来越 比较级+and+比较级/ more and more +原级 ；越…就越… the 比较级，the 比较级

①单音节和少数双音节形容词、副词的规则变化情况： a.在原级的词尾加-er变为比较级，加-est变为最高级。e.g.short(原级)---shorter(比较级)---shortest(最高级)long(原级)---longer(比较级)---longest(最高级)
