商务英语BEC考试解题技巧
BEC考试(Business English Certificates)是为英语学习者提供的国际商务语言资格证书考试,它注重考查考生在实际工作环境中用英语解决问题的能力。BEC考试适用于不同职业背景的考生,并对考生的学习深造以及求职应聘具有实用价值。

第一部分、商务英语(BEC)怎么考
商务英语BEC考试分两个阶段进行。第一阶段为笔试,包括阅读、写作和听力,第二阶段为口试。考试时间分别为:
BEC初级:阅读、写作90分钟,听力约40分钟(含填写答题卡时间),口试12分钟;
BEC中级:阅读60分钟、写作45分钟、听力约40分钟(含填写答题卡时间)、口试14分钟;
B EC高级:阅读60分钟、写作70分钟、听力约40分钟(含填写答题卡时间)、口试16分钟。
第二部分、临考应该做些什么
对于商务英语考试,很多人觉得不知道从何开始复习,其实BEC考试无论是初级、中级还是高级,其题型和所要考查的知识点与以前相比都不会有太大变化,对此广大考生在复习的可以参照以前的考试真题。
同时从考试大纲要求可以看出,考生不仅要能听懂日常生活中的通知、讲话、一般性谈话或讨论等,还应能听懂所熟悉领域的广播电视节目、讲座、演讲和论述等。
因此,要想达到上述要求,最根本的对策就是听力基本功。要在听力方面有所突破,就必须听熟一定量的语音材料。就像英语阅读中有精读和泛读的道理一样,听力中也分为精听和泛听。目前就听力的训练方法而言,普遍存在似是而非的做法,很多人在学习过程中多以泛听为主,只强调听懂大意。每天戴着随身听,坐车的时候听,打饭、打水的时候听,睡觉以前还听,但结果却是事倍功半。
为此,很多专家认为,练习听力要以精听为主,泛听为辅。听写是练习听力最根本的方法,其要领就是反复听、尽量写,直到实在写不出来时再去核对原文。反复精听一盘语音纯正的磁带时,不难发现:平常不易注意的地方,这时就会注意到。这样,篇章的每一个细节都能在考生的脑海里留下深刻的印象,这对纠正发音和强化口耳互动训练,都极为重要。听写的严格训练可以为口语和听力打下坚实的基础。
第三、商务英语解题技巧和策略
在掌握一定的基础之后,要想在BEC上取得好成绩,还要了解一定的解题技巧和策略:
第一,答案原则上采用录音材料中的文字。因为阅卷时,一般应严格按照所得到的答案进行阅卷。这样直接来源于录音中的答案,会有相当大的优势。但肯定有一部分试题不能完全用录音中的内容去回答,需要用自己的语言,如果强行用文中的语言,反倒不行。这就要求考生灵活应对。
第二,答案力求内容丰富简洁。内容丰富主要体现在对问题应答的主题大意上,而简洁则是对语言掌握程度及考试时间上的要求。
第三,答题时还应当注意词尾的变化。命题者非常重视词尾的变化,一个动词的过去分词形式,如果单词对了,但词尾错了也不能得分。
第四,听力如果是事实题,考生应重注意5个W,如:what、where、why、who、when等。
第四、BEC阅读理解题如何得高分
阅读理解在BEC考试中占了很大比重,是决定考试成败的一大题型。很多考生在这上面下了很多功夫,但是在最后的复习冲刺中,怎样才能争取在这个题型上拿更多的分呢?以下几点建议值得考生注意:
1、抓住句子结构,通过语法知识来进行拆分理解。在阅读理解中,找出主、的谓、的宾结构,然后把从句和插入语也都表示出来,这样句子的意思就不难理解了。
2、注意从整体上把握全篇。在把每句的意思弄懂的基础上,要高屋建瓴地统领全篇的内容,抓住中心主题,按照要求答题。
有的考生担心自己对专业的商务知识了解不多,害怕在考试中吃亏,其实考生不必对此过于担心,现在也不必恶补这方面的知识。因为BEC考试虽然对专业的商务知识有涉及,但总的来说涉及不多,而且,即使考试时会涉及商务知识,那也只是作为阅读文章的载体出现,考生在这方面不会怎么吃亏的。
第五、其他题型备考建议
对于写作,更多地要靠平时积累,考生可以看一些比较好的范文。在考试时,考生也不必过于紧张,心态很重要,不要轻易下笔,不要在试卷上过多地涂改,写作时应力求保持卷面的整洁。
而口语考试则要力戒口怯,考生应当大声、大胆地说出口,在听懂考官问题的基础上可以略事思考,但思考的时间不能过长,要给自己信心,相信自己有这个实力。而且要注意仪表大方得体,应答时尽量做到从容不迫。
最后,在考试时,考生一定要注意对考试时间的整体把握,因为历年的考试显示,有很多考生花了太多的时间在做试卷前面的题目,而到了后来,却发现时间不够。而事实上前面的题目是比较容易的,不应该花过多的时间。

(1)首先肯定是把经科社即Summertown出的教材好好看下了。有人说Summertown里面的文章太旧了些,的确,貌似最新的文章就到01年的,不过我觉得BEC考察的是在商务背景下应用英语的能力,跟实际的商务肯定不是很同步了,这本书我还是推荐的,因为自己就稳扎稳打的看了至少有4、5遍吧,至于每一次看的侧重点肯定是有不同的了。通过中、高级两本的商务词汇和短语的积累,基本上具备了看懂商务文章的能力了。至于词汇和短语我是看的伴侣那两本书上的,总结地非常好、全,基本上我会把自己不太熟悉的词汇短语记在笔记本上,课余10分钟的时间拿来看看就好了~
(2)再就是看 Business benchmark这两本书,也是建议从中级开始看,可以和summertown的教材同步进行。这两本书没什么配套辅导书,不过基本上自学是没问题的,里面的练习是很不错的,summertown的书内练习是比较简单的,用来熟悉下考试题型和出题思路就好了,做题还是以真题和模拟题为主。
2.考试策略:
A.我刚开始做高级真题的时候阅读是错了10个左右的,当时小打击了下,不过之后慢慢总结和注意了方法,错误率就在5个左右了,中国学生阅读都应该没有问题的。阅读的关键是速度,考试时间是60min,基本上要在50min左右全部做完,留10min左右填答题卡。高级考试的时候监考是比较严的,所以别想说可以提前看试卷,中级就好像蛮松的。我汗。提高阅读速度的一个很好的方法就是多看英文报刊,像Economist 和Financial Time都是很好的网站,高级考试的阅读其实有很多都是从里面截出来的。
3.做题顺序:我的顺序是453162,遵循先易后难的顺序吧,阅读里面最难的就是part2的匹配题了,所以大家要留大概10—15min的时间给这道题。
PART1的主旨题,快速浏览题干知悉每题的意思,然后回到文段中找到对应的信息点,建议是看完一段后立即回题目定位,这样可提高正确率;
PART2是匹配题,一定要先读后面可供选择的题干,然后快速跳过空空扫读文章,特别留意空格旁边的连接词,判断前后意思是顺接还是逆转,然后再带着选项回到原文中,注意要做完一项就删掉一项。
PART3是传统的阅读题,基本上是按顺序出题的,看题目然后回到文章中找关键字,找到答案部位后进行下同义转换就好了。
PART4完形,高级的完形是10个选项,基本上是近义词的用法判定,我只能说,刚开始会错很多,因为这道题要做得好要有外国人的思维,而且词汇的掌握要求较为高,不过多练下就好了。
PART5填空题,主要考察一些虚词的用法,像介词、冠词、数词、比较级、短语啊之类的,多做就有感觉了。
PART6改错题,改错题就考察语法了,可以先扫下文章,知道大概讲什么内容,然后再有针对的一句一句来,建议这题要多做下总结,考来考去就是那些点的,跑不掉的。基本上阅读前三部分考综合技能,后面三部分考语法、词汇等,所以BEC阅读的考察也是蛮全面的,这个也是我们拿分的关键喔~~
3.4.听力:
听力我没有练过中级听力,用了一个月的时间听了两本教材的配套听力,特别是CAMBRIDGE的那本,听力质量灰常好~而且录音的那些人就是考试录音的原班人马,语速啊那些都跟考试差不多。听力没什么技巧,一是多听,二是训练反应。刚入门的时候做做听写也是不错的,基本上用一个月的时间,每天大概1--2小时,基本上听力就上来了。我做真题的错误数量一般都在3个左右。不过建议大家平时不要用太好的录音设备来听,我考试的时候录音就严重听不清,以致总体也考得不好哈~~PART1注意复数那些,训练自己快速写记的能力吧,PART2最主要是心态好,当你觉得你已经听到答案时,不要高兴,埋伏正在后面呢,所以PART2一定要认真地听完全段,边听边思考,的确我承认,这一部分是考试中最
难的部分,所以大家要多练这一part啊~~PART3就要注意把握听力的节奏,因为其答案的出现是根据顺序来的,还有就是要训练自己边听边看题的能力,基本上听力开始之前的时间只够你看个题目,化下关键词,真正的题干还是要靠自己在听的是很看,基本上这题同义转换就好了。
听力是英音,刚开始听不习惯可以看下英剧和听下BBC,习惯了其实也蛮好听的了。
5.写作:
我高级的写作是基本考前一个多月才开始的,我的教训就是写作一定要早点准备,早点准备可以尽快熟悉,然后多写几篇才是王道。写作的话把SUMMERTOWN和CAMBRIDGE里面的范文都抄下来背诵了,基本上还默了几遍了。所以一些套话是很熟悉的了。高级的写作的PART1是图表题,这题其实不难,参考下写作指南这本书和积累的范文,词汇多样化点,句式也要丰富点,拿个BAND4是没问题的,PART2是LETTER、REPORT、PROPOSAL,我选的是书信,因为觉得格式比较多,书信其实也就那几类,什么投诉信、回复投诉信、求职信、邀请信等等,每类有一两篇范文在脑子里就好了,考试的时候直接套就好了,不过还是建议大家把真题上的写作题目都写下,写完找人或者自己修改都可以,写作准备地越充分,发挥就肯定会越好的。
6.口语:
相信口语是很多人的弱项了,大家最好找个Partner,平时大家都练练考试里的PART3——互相讨论一个商务话题并且reach a same decision~~~,我就把蓝色的那本口语书里的话题看了,知道该说什么,然后PART2的individual speech自己总结一些套话,把真题上的题目都说一遍,如果大家觉得刚开始不会说的话可以大致把想要说的东西写在本子上,然后一句句练习,这样坚持一段时间肯定会有用的。这次估计我的口语还是考得不错的,临走前给我瞄到了分数(3个4.5,1个4,总分5),口语这种东西,跟听力是相连的,听力好了,口语自然会上去的。考试时要注意礼貌和给考官的第一印象哈,基本上口语就这些了~~
6.。Part1老师问了Name、Where are you from?、favorite course?、还有一个基本的商务问题——how to preraration for job interview.第2部分我的话题是launch newproduct to market,给的两个点事research和sample。第3部分是关于supermarket的Professional key words

四、巧记商务英语词汇——联想记忆记得快
1.归类法
在记忆商务英语词汇时,建议同学采用归类联想记忆法,即一个topic下,涉及到的词汇同时记忆掌握。例如:与网络有关的词汇,download(下载), e-mail(电子邮件), Global Area Network(全球局域网),netizen(网民), website(网页), log in(登录), hacker(黑客), modem(调制解调器), webpage(网页), webzine(网络杂志), host(主机)等;与营销有关的词汇,hot product(热销产品),buying power(购买力), seller's market(卖方市场), buyer's market(买方市场), secondhand(二手的), target customer(目标客户), niche market(缝隙市场)等。在归类的时候,如能总结出单词之间的内在联系就更好了。例如:insurance company(保险公司)包含sales(销售),accounts(账目), claims(索赔)等,sales又包含direct sales(直接销售), brokers(经纪人),agents(代理人)等。可以将单词画成树形来记忆(或者其他能表示单词间关系的思维导图)。现在市面上也能买到很多分类词汇手册,比如《剑桥商务英语中级词汇语境记忆手册》,《剑桥商务英语BEC核心词汇(初级、中级、高级)》等。可以买一本来,根据单元(话题)来背诵。
2.衍生法
有一些单词是基础词汇,只不过在商务场合含义发生了变化。例如balance n./v.平衡,在会计领域有“结余、差额”的意思;对于这部分词汇,除了上述归类联想记忆法,还需要平时在阅读中多积累。遇到一个新的生词,结合上下文猜测意思,然后通过查字典得到准确的含义。接着联系该单词本义,找到“为什么它有这个含义”。一般来说,一个单词意思再多,也是从基本词义上拓展出来的,比如上文中提到的balance,由“平衡”想到“收支平衡”再到“结余、差额”,一步步来,总能找到共通点帮助记忆。
3.情境法
同学也可以采用在情境中学习词汇(通过阅读、听力等方式);图示法辅助
学习(在图片上标注出单词)等。但是无论采用哪种方法,学习者都应该静下心来认真记忆单词,反复多次,加强巩固,可以参考记忆遗忘曲线来合理安排背单词时间。
