英语二阅读理解A部分题型为多项选择题，总共有4篇文章，总长度为1500词左右，要求考生阅读文章并回答每篇文章后面的问题。每篇文章后设有5个问题，共20题，每小题2分，总计40分。对于中国的英语学习者说，不管是英语四、六级，专

四、专八考试，还是考研、考博考试，阅读始终是一项最为重要的技能，所占的分数比例大，“得阅读者得天下”，阅读能力并不仅仅体现在阅读理解一项当中，很大程度上，阅读理解能力是综合素质的体现，阅读能力也和英语知识运用、新题型、写作等题型相互关联，这样题型的解决需要通过阅读获取相关的信息，如果阅读能力不好，这些题型的做题质量会受到大大地影响。

依据最新的大纲，万学海文(微博)英语考研辅导老师们对阅读A部分做了一个详细地分析，通过和考研英语一阅读理解A部分的对比，我们可以获知以下的信息，英语二阅读量减小，英语一是1600词，英语二是1500，而且没有说生词量不超过总共的3%，考查生词的可能性降到最低，大纲中并没有提到超纲词汇，这给了考生一个定心丸，即不必担心超纲词汇。且英语二明确规定了考察的体裁和题材。题材是经济、管理、社会、文化、科普。这方面的题材与专业硕士的特点休戚相关，且英语一中的八大阅读能力的要求减为6条。少了“理解文中的概念性含义”和“区分论点和论据”这两个难度较大的要求，“进行有关的判断、推理和引申”去掉了引申，而除去的以上两点对阅读有非常高的要求。英语二阅读部分所要掌握的六大能力是：1，理解文章的要义，2，理解文中的具体信息，3，理解作者的意图、观点或态度，4，进行有关的判断、推理和引申，5，根据上下文推测生词的词义，6，理解文章的总体结构以及上下文之间的关系。
