[专题]大学英语四六级考试简介

大学英语考试是教育部主管的一项全国性的英语考试，其目的是对大学生的实际英语能力进行客观、准确的测量，为大学英语教学提供测评服务。大学英语考试是一项大规模标准化考试，在设计上必须满足教育测量理论对大规模标准化考试的质量要求，是一个“标准关联的常模参照测验”。大学英语四、六级考试作为一项全国性的教学考试由“国家教育部高教司”主办，分为四级考试(CET-4)和六级考试(CET-6)，每年各举行两次。从2005年1月起，报道成绩满分为710分，凡考试成绩在220分以上的考生，由国家教育部高教司委托“全国大学英语四六级考试委员会”发给成绩单。

近期内，四、六级考试将采取的重要举措之一是改革计分体制和成绩报道方式。自2005年6月考试起，四、六级考试成绩将采用满分为710分的计分体制，不设及格线；成绩报道方式由考试合格证书改为成绩报告单，即考后向每位考生发放成绩报告单，报道内容包括：总分、单项分等。为使学校理解考试分数的含义并根据各校的实际情况合理使用考试测量的结果，四、六级考试委员会将向学校提供四、六级考试分数的解释。

在考试内容和形式上，四、六级考试将加大听力理解部分的题量和比例，增加快速阅读理解测试，增加非选择

性试题的比例。试点阶段的四、六级考试由四部分构成：听力理解、阅读理解、综合测试和写作测试。听力理解部分的比例提高到35%，其中听力对话占15%，听力短文占20%。听力对话部分包括短对话和长对话的听力理解；听力短文部分包括短文听写和选择题型的短文理解；听力题材选用对话、讲座、广播电视节目等更具真实性的材料。阅读理解部分比例调整为35%，其中仔细阅读部分（careful reading）占25%，快速阅读部分（fast reading）占10%。仔细阅读部分除测试篇章阅读理解外，还包括对篇章语境中的词汇理解的测试；快速阅读部分测试各种快速阅读技能。综合测试比例为15%，由两部分构成。第一部分为完型填空或改错，占10%；第二部分为短句问答或翻译，占5%。写作能力测试部分比例为15%，体裁包括议论文、说明文、应用文等。

根据目前的改革进程，近期内大学英语四、六级考试口语考试仍将与笔试分开实施，继续采用已经实施了五年的面试型的四、六级口语考试（CET-SET）。

笔试部分

四六级考试的具体命题要求

1)听力理解部分要求

听力理解部分的目的是测试学生获取口头信息的能力，包括理解主旨大意、重要的事实细节、理解隐含的意义、言语的交际功能、理解谈话人的观点态度等。听力理解部分主要考核语言能力，要避免测验智力、记忆力或背景知识等语言外的能力。听力理解部分目前分为对话和短篇听力材料两部分，所选材料应当是题材熟悉的对话、讲话、叙述、解说等，语言要口语化，避免采用书面语体太强的材料。所用词语不超出教学大纲词汇表规定的范围。命题时应考虑能够全面考核教学大纲所规定的各种听力微技能。在构成一张试卷时各种听力微技能都要占一定比例。

2)阅读理解部分要求

阅读理解部分的目的是测试学生通过阅读获取信息的能力。包括掌握所读材料的主旨和大意；了解说明主旨和大意的事实和细节；既理解字面的意思，也能根据所读材料进行一定的判断和推论；既理解个别句子的意义，也理解上下文的逻辑关系，理解文章的深层含义。阅读理解不但要求准确，而且要有一定的速度。

阅读材料的选材原则是：

①题材广泛，可以包括人物传记、社会、文化、日常知识、科普常识等，但是所涉及的背景知识应能为学生所理解；

②体裁多样，可以包括叙述文、说明文、议论文等，应体现学术英语(English for Academic

作文题的评分通常有两种方法：

一种是综合法(holistic approach)，一种是分析法(analytic approach)。分析法是把一篇作文分解为若干要点，如内容、结构、文章连贯性(cohesion)、语法、词汇等，不同的要点也可作不同的加权处理，各要点得分的总和即为全篇得分。综合法是凭阅卷员通读一遍的总体印象打分。综合法的优点是能从总体上把握通篇印象，评卷速度比较快。

此外，为了提高阅卷的信度也有采用两读的方法，即每篇作文由两名阅卷员分别独立评分，若分数差两档以上，由第三名阅卷员重判。考虑到大学英语四、六级考试规模太大，不可能进行两读，因此，决定采用综合法和一读的评分方法，然后根据考生的客观题得分进行调整，滤除系统误差。

4)完形填空部分要求

完形填空部分的目的是测试学生综合运用语言的能力。完形填空部分的选材原则与阅读理解部分相同，要求学生在全面理解内容的基础上答题。命题时要考虑到要求填入的词项中虚词和实词各占一定比例，并且要包含若干必须在正确理解全文后才可能答对的题项。

5)综合改错部分要求

综合改错部分的目 的是测试学生综合运用语言的能力，不但要求学生能够识别错误而且能够写出正确的语言形式，因此是一种对语言表达能力的测试。综合改错部分的选材要求是题材熟悉、没有背景知识方面的困难、文章难度略浅于阅读理解材料、文章内容要有一定的逻辑展开。命题时在短文中安排10个错误(不含拼写错误或标点错误)要求学生改正。错误分三种类型，一种是需要改正某个词，一种是需要增添某个词，一种是需要删除某个词。需要改正的错误有的是局部性的，有的是全局性的，涉及篇章结构；两者有一定比例，要求考生在全面理解内容的基础上改正错误，使短文的意思完整、语言正确。

6)短文写作部分要求

短文写作部分的目的是考核学生运用英语书面表达思想的能力，要求学生在30分钟内写出一篇短文，四级不少于100词，六级为不少于120词。试卷上可能给出题目、或要求看图作文、或根据所给文章(英语或汉语)写成摘要或大意、或给出关键词或提纲要求写成短文等等。短文写作部分的命题原则是要做到使考生要求明确，使考生能够展开思想，学习好的和学习一般的学生都有内容可写，但要避免构思方面的困难，不含有背景知识方面的困难，以便达到考核书面表达能力的目的。评分时主要考虑作文是否切题、能否正确表达思想、意义是否连贯、文理是否基本通顺并无重大语言错误等

一、评分标准

CET-SET 主考在评分时使用以下标准：

a.准确性 指考生的语音、语调以及所使用的语法和词汇的准确程度

b.语言范围 指考生使用的词汇和语法结构的复杂程度和范围

c.话语的长短 指考生对整个考试中的交际所作的贡献、讲话的多少

d.连贯性 指考生有能力进行较长时间的、语言连贯的发言

e.灵活性 指考生应付不同情景和话题的能力

f.适切性 指考生根据不同场合选用适当确切的语言的能力 考试形式

二、CET-SET 考试分三部分：

第一部分是考生和 CET 授权的主考进行交谈，采用问答的形式。时间约 5 分钟。

第二部分包括 1.5 分钟的考生个人发言和 4.5 分钟的小组讨论。时间共约 10 分钟。

第三部分由主考再次提问以进一步确定考生的口头交际能力。时间约 5 分钟。

三、输入信息

CET-SET 考试运用以下两种形式的输入信息来产生信息差：

1）画面提示（如图片、图表、照片等）；

2）文字提示。
