Uint3 Could you please clean your room?

1本单元技能目标：礼貌地向他人提出请求或请求许可，学会用留言条邮件等方式请求他人帮助。

2重点语法：情态动词could 的用法 可用于礼貌地向对方提出请求或请求对 方许可，用于疑问句中可替代can，在时态上和can没有区别，但语气更委婉有礼貌。

1.委婉地请求别人做某事

Could you(please)do sth.? 肯定答语： Yes,sure./Yes, I can.Of course, I can./No problem./ With pleasure.否定答语：Sorry, I can’t.I have to …/Sorry, I’m going to…/I’m afraid I can’t.I have to…

2.委婉地请求别人允许自己做某事

Could I do sth.? 肯定答语： Yes, you can./ Yes, please.否定答语：Sorry, you can’t./I’m afraid you can’t.(然后说明理由)

①答语中一般不使用could ② 句中的could都可换成can ③ 句中please还可放在句尾，其前用逗号隔开。

3.could的其他用法

1could为can的过去式，表能力

She could swim at the age of seven.她七岁时就会游泳

2表可能性，对某种可能的推测

The book could be Mike’s.He likes reading science books.这本书可能是迈克的，他喜欢看科学书籍。

3表建议

You could get your sister a book as her birthday present.你可以给你妹妹买本书作为她的生日礼物。

4用于虚拟语气

How I wish I could go with you!我多么希望能和你一起去啊！

㈢ 本单元写作任务是谈论做家务。会用should/shouldn’t 等标达自己的观点。体裁以议论文为主。首先开篇直接表明自己的观点，正文部分对问题进行事例论证，最后结尾归纳总结再次强调自己的观点。
