一、形容词比较级在句子中的运用

例句：Who's taller than David ?

Whose bag is heavier?

She's younger than me.You're one year younger than him.在呈现新的句型时，应引导学生发现：1）比较级用于二者的比较；2）比较级在句中的结构是：……比较级than……；3）than 后面的代词应该是宾格。

二、形容词比较级词形变化规则：

1）直接在形容词后加-er ,例如：long--longer

2)双写末尾的辅音字母，再加-er, 例如：big--bigger

3)辅音字母加y 结尾的，变y为i , 再加-er.4)以e结尾的，只加-r(本单元好象还没有出现，但可根据情况考虑补充）

由于规则与学生已掌握的名词复数、动词的第三人称单数、动词的现在分词等词形变化相似，因此学生在学习的过程中不会有太大的困难。但是要防止学生在加-er时笔误成-es.三、形容词比较级的读音：（抱歉，由于音标不会输入，所以在此只是提出，比较级的读音在教学中不容忽视，应作为重难点之一进行处理）
