美式论文、报告写作技巧

编者按:美式教育的特点即是课程内容强调学生参与及创新运用,因此,报告便成了常见的考核学生学习成果的方式,比如实验报告、学期报告、专题报告、研究报告及论文(含毕业论文)等。研究生presentation 及 seminar 的机会更是占很大的比重,有些甚至占学期成绩很大比例。如何完成报告、论文同时得到良好的成绩,是本文提供给有志留学的有心人参考的目的。

美国大学生由於自小已养成自动寻找答案习惯,在启发式的教育环境下,写报告、论文对他们来说比较不陌生,虽然专业知识上美国学生不见得比外籍学生强,但是表达能力由於自小培养,加上英语能力的优势,常比外籍学生在报告、论文方面有较隹的利基。反之中国学生比较缺乏报告写作的训练,因此如果在留学过程中无法适应美式教育会比较辛苦,其实论文、报告的写作要领其实不难,只要把握技巧就可水到渠成。

通常论文由篇首(Preliminaries),本文(Texts)以及参考资料(References)三部分构成;而这三大部分各自内容如下:

谢词(Acknowledge)提要(Summary)

目录(Tables and Appendixes)

(二)本文:

引言(Introduction)

主体,含篇(Part)、章(Chapter)、节(Section)、以及注释(Footnotes)

进行论文或报告写作之前,先要确定想要表达的主题,主题确定后,将其具体表达,即为题目。题目可以提供研究者:

三.资料搜集的范围

四.预期研究成果

通常在确定题目之後就开始找资料从事研究,建议在找资料之前最好去问教授有哪些参考资料来源可供参考引用。构思为确定写作大纲或 Proposal 的先前步骤,大纲是论文、报告的骨干,Proposal 是研究的架构、流程及范围的说明书。如何构思大纲或Proposal为论文、报告写作前的必要准备工作。好的论文或研究报告,要基于在完整、详实的资料上,而参考资料除了和教授商借之外,最主要的来源就是图书馆了,一般参考资料来源可分成教科书或手册、政府机构的报告、科技或商业方面的杂志,及会议性质的资料。此外现代的电脑资料库也可帮助收集资料,在国外可利用学校的电脑连线资料库寻找自己需要的资料。当一切准备就绪,即可开始着手写报告,一般报告还分大报告如期末、专题等报告,及小报告如 Seminar 式的报告。

就算是小报告,也至少应含

(一)TITLE PAGES :包含主题名称、作者、日期

(二)Summary: 即主要的结论

(三)Introduction:包括理论背景及内容

(四)Technical Sections:是论文的主体,为最重要的部份应再细分为 几个片断。

(五)Conclusions:即扼要的结论

(六)Appendixes:复杂公式的导引及叁考资料和电脑程式的报表可附加在 此项

美式报告的撰写通常要打字,两行式,行间若有未拼完的字要以音节来连接。写报告通常需要用到电脑,如有计算数字统计图表的需求,也常会用到程式软体如PASCAL、LOTUS,统计分析软体如SAS,也是不可或缺的,电脑绘图在今日已成为工商界及学术界的重要工具,文书处理更是最基本的要求,因此Word for Window、Powerpoint、Excel便成了颇受欢迎的工具。此外在英文语法、文法上的润饰与修改,如能请老美帮忙会比较好。

论文、报告完成后有时会需要做解说(Presentation),用英文来讲演对中国人来说算是一大挑战,通常课堂讲演时间为十五分钟到三十分钟,若是论文囗试则至少一小时。投影机及麦克风的使用对讲演的效果有很大帮助,正式讲演前多预习几次,时间宜控制适中,上台时忌讳低头拿着报告照念,需留意听众的反应,切中主题,避免太多数字的导引。

为实现酒店提档升级,努力提高酒店服务人员服务技能,提升酒店接待能力。2010年4月28日,由韶关市旅游局主办、韶关市旅游协会、韶关市餐饮烹饪协会协办的2010年韶关市旅游饭店服务技能大赛在韶关市流花宾馆举行。

我酒店由总经理陆邦美任教练、由人事经理朱德玉任领队,选送了中餐部长聂文英、西餐服务员罗金花、客房领班肖业莲代表本酒店参赛。

比赛当天,来自韶关周边地区各酒店、饭店的50多名餐厅工作人员、客房服务人员参加了比赛。按照要求,评委对选手的仪容仪表、外语水平、现场操作三项作综合考评。

东方儒家酒店集团在山东省服务技能大赛中勇创佳绩

12月7日,由山东省旅游发展委员会、省人力资源和社会保障厅、省总工会、团省委、省妇联、省旅游饭店协会联合举办的第二届山东省旅游饭店行业服务技能大赛决赛,经过两天的激烈角逐,完美落下帷幕。东方儒家酒店集团在本次比赛中奋勇拼搏,取得了骄人成绩。

东方儒家酒店集团在本次比赛中荣获烹饪类团体赛一等奖(第三名)、服务技能类团体赛三等奖、中餐宴会摆台三等奖、英式鸡尾酒调制三等奖、烹饪技能冷拼三等奖(金奖烹饪名师)、烹饪技能热菜三等奖(金奖烹饪名师)等良好成绩。

烹饪类团体赛主题宴会六艺礼宾宴:孔府菜以“食不厌精、脍不厌细” 为食礼文化理念,将此内化于心,用菜(宴)为载体外化于行,造就了天下无双的孔府菜。

英式鸡尾酒调制张桂芝女士作品:苍翠欲滴

此酒颜色翠绿、口感清冽,让穿梭在钢筋混凝土中的人们顿感清新无比,仿佛望见远山含黛苍翠欲滴,愿现代人的生活中充满生机盎然的绿色,同时也在呼吁现在人绿色环保从我做起。

烹饪技能热菜项目徐万峰先生荣获“金牌烹饪名师”荣誉称号,参赛作品:运河第一糁,九转大肠,乱蒜牛肚丝,松籽鱼米。

烹饪技能冷拼项目褚红灿先生荣获“金牌烹饪名师”荣誉称号,参赛作品:鹬蚌相争拼福禄寿喜围碟。各种熟制食材拼成看盘和围碟,配以果酱画,食之口味层次分明,营养搭配合理,视之颜色丰富多彩赏心悦目!

本次大赛设中餐宴会摆台、西餐宴会摆台、英式鸡尾酒调制、中式铺床/开夜床、工装展示、英语口语、理论测试七个大赛项目,来自全省17地市31支代表队的129位选手参加。

东方儒家酒店集团积极响应山东省旅游饭店行业协会号召,从6月27日到10月30日集团组织进行了2届服务技能大赛,成员酒店内部也掀起了技能大练兵的高潮,经过酒店层层选拔、集团步步筛选,认真备战济宁市服务技能大赛和第二届山东省服务技能大赛,功夫不负有心人,集团员工凭借娴熟的技能、创新的理念获得诸多奖项,体现了匠心精神,展现了儒雅风采!

2011年全省旅游饭店服务技能大赛工作方案

根据2011年全省旅游监管工作会议的部署安排,省旅游局决定举办2011年全省旅游饭店服务技能大赛。现制定工作方案如下。

一、目的意义

2011年全省旅游饭店服务技能大赛以“展示形象风采,促进学习交流,强化职业技能,提升服务质量”为宗旨,以提高全省旅游饭店行业整体发展水平,加快建设湖南旅游强省为目标,认真贯彻落实2011年全省旅游监管工作会议精神,全面展示我省旅游饭店行业的发展成果和旅游饭店从业人员的精神风貌,增强旅游饭店饭店及从业人员的服务意识、质量意识和标准意识,促进旅游饭店从业队伍素质和旅游饭店发展水平的整体提升。

二、组织领导

全省旅游饭店服务技能大赛分市州初赛和省级决赛两个阶段进行。省旅游局成立“2011年全省旅游饭店服务技能大赛”组委会(以下简称“组委会”),负责整个赛事活动的组织领导。组委会主任由省旅游局局长杨光荣担任,省旅游局领导刘之明、刘绵松、熊健、高扬先、王舜良、卜越辉、尚斌等任副主任,刘之明执行主任。省旅游局相关处室(单位)负责同志为成员,组委会办公室设行业管理处,负责大赛的各项具体工作。各市州旅 1

游局要相应成立全省旅游饭店服务技能大赛市州选拔赛组委会,具体负责本次大赛市州选拔赛的组织工作和参赛选手的推荐上报工作。

三、比赛项目

比赛项目为:前厅服务(前厅行李员及接待员服务)、客房服务(中式铺床)、餐厅服务(中餐宴会摆台)、餐厅服务(西餐宴会摆台)、调酒师服务(鸡尾酒调制)、保安员服务(车辆指挥及消防、保安技能)6个项目,涉及7个服务岗位。

四、参赛选手条件

各参赛选手应是饭店合同制员工,在旅游星级饭店服务岗位工作一年以上,热爱本职工作,具有良好的职业道德素质和职业技能水平,外语水平较好,无不良行为及投诉记录

五、参赛报名

以市州为单位组团参赛。根据各市州旅游星级饭店的数量结构分配参赛选手名额(附件二),各市州在组织选拔赛的基础上确定参加全省大赛的选手,并由领队、教练(各1人)和选手组成市州参赛团(报名表附三)。报名截止时间为6月30日。

六、比赛内容

1、仪容仪表(10分):主要考察选手的仪容仪表是否符合旅游行业的基本规范及岗位要求。在选手进行相关项目比赛时,由评委进行实时评分。

2、外语水平(5分):主要考察选手服务岗位常用英语口语表达能力。比赛方式为选手与评委进行现场交流对话。

3、岗位知识及应变能力(5分):以回答问题形式考察选手服务岗位应知应会的知识和技能,以及服务应变能力。

外语水平、岗位知识及应变能力考察设单独考场进行。

4、现场操作(80分):

(1)前厅接待服务(时间为8分钟):主要考察行李员和前台接待员服务的规范性、熟练性、灵活性。

(2)中式铺床(时间为3分钟):主要考察选手操作的熟练性、规范性。

(3)中餐宴会摆台(时间为15分钟):主要考察选手操作的熟练性、规范性、美观性。

(4)西餐宴会摆台(时间为15分钟):主要考察选手操作的熟练性、规范性、美观性。

(5)鸡尾酒调制(规定调制、自创调制各为5分钟):主要考察选手操作的熟练性、创造性。

(6)保安服务(选手完成为止):主要考察选手的应变能力和技能操作的熟练性、规范性。

每位选手的最后比赛成绩为上述1、2、3、4项之和,每个代表队的最后比赛成绩为所有参赛选手的平均成绩。

各个项目的“比赛规则及评分标准”见附四。

外语水平、岗位知识及应变能力考察不设试题库。

七、时间安排

(一)宣传发动阶段(2011年5月)。各市州旅游局在接到省局文件后,要进行广泛宣传发动,充分调动各旅游星级饭组织

参赛的积极性。各饭店要在开展技能比武的基础上,向市州旅游局推荐参加市州初赛的优秀选手。

(二)市州初赛阶段(2011年5-6月)。各市州旅游局组织初赛。初赛办法由各地自行确定。各地经初赛选拔后按照省里要求组成代表队参加全省旅游饭店技能大赛。

(三)全省大赛阶段(2011年7月)

1.时间地点:2010年7月长沙市举行(预计2天时间,具体时间地点另行通知)

3.费用:各代表队参加比赛选手(包括领队、教练)的交通费由各代表队负责,比赛期间的食宿、场地等比赛费用由大赛组委会承担(长沙市选手不安排住宿和早晚餐)。

4、比赛工具和用品:大赛组委会统一提供基本的比赛工具和用品,特殊工具和用品均由选手自备。

5、评委:由大赛组委会在全省星评员队伍中选聘,根据比赛项目需要邀请交警、消防部门人员共同组成评审组(其中,推荐1人担任组长)。

6、监督:为确保大赛的公平、公正,组委会监审组现场监督。

(大赛操作流程另行制定)。

八、奖项设置

(一)单项奖。各个单项奖按选手得分高低取前16名(允许并列),其中一等奖2名、二等奖4名、三等奖10名。其他选手由大赛组委会授予优秀奖。参赛选手在大赛中所取得的成绩,将作为评选全省旅游行业岗位明星的重要参考依据。

(二)团体奖。以代表队得分排序,取前6名,其中一等奖1个、二等奖2个、三等奖3个。获奖单位将由大赛组委会授予相应的奖牌和奖杯。

(三)组织奖。大赛设组织奖若干名。组织奖根据各代表队组织发动范围、初赛情况、赛场纪律、文明礼貌等情况考核确定。

九、工作要求

2011年全省旅游饭店服务技能大赛是2011全省旅游监管工作会议部署安排的一项重要工作,各市州旅游局、各旅游饭店要统一思想,高度重视,精心组织,务求实效。要以举办技能大赛为契机,进一步促进旅游饭店行业积极开展岗位练兵和技能培训,切实提高饭店行业从业人员素质技能,全面提升旅游饭店服务质量,为促进全省旅游业又好又快发展做出新的贡献。
