导读:
小飞蛾在险境中挣扎,香瓜子在墙角砖缝中长出小苗,“我”静听心脏的跳动感受自己的生命。这些本来是寻常小事,作者却由此感悟出深刻的道理。试联系作者的身世,体会她为什么强烈地呼喊“生命,生命”。
原文:
夜晚,我在灯下写稿,一只飞蛾不停地在我头顶上方飞来旋去,骚扰着我。趁它停在眼前小憩时,我一伸手捉住了它,我原想弄死它,但它鼓动双翅,极力挣扎,我感到一股生命的力量在我手中跃动,那样强烈!那样鲜明!这样一只小小的飞蛾,只要我的手指稍一用力,它就不能再动了,可是那双翅膀在我手中挣扎,那种生之欲望令我震惊,使我忍不住放了它!
我常常想,生命是什么呢?墙角的砖缝中掉进一粒香瓜子,隔了几天,竟然冒出了一截小瓜苗。那小小的种子里,包含了一种怎样的力量,竟使它可以冲破坚硬的外壳,在没有阳光、没有泥土的砖缝中,不屈地向上,茁壮生长,昂然挺立。它仅仅活了几天,但是,那一股足以擎天撼地的生命力,令我肃然起敬!
许多年前,有一次,我借来医生的听诊器,静听自己的心跳,那一声声沉稳而有规律的跳动,给我极大的震撼,这就是我的生命,单单属于我的。我可以好好地使用它,也可以白白糟蹋它;我可以使它度过一个有意义的人生,也可以任它荒废,庸碌一生。一切全在我一念之间,我必须对自己负责。
虽然肉体的生命短暂,生老病死也往往令人无法捉摸,但是,让有限的生命发挥出无限的价值,使我们活得更为光彩有力,却在于我们自己掌握。
从那一刻起,我应许自己,绝不辜负生命,绝不让它从我手中白白流失。不论未来的命运如何,遇福遇祸,或喜或忧,我都愿意为它奋斗,勇敢地活下去。
课后练习:
一 朗读全文,着重朗读最后三段,看作者从三个事例中引发出对生命的哪些思考,试就这些思考再从生活中举出一两个事例。
本题要求练习朗读,把握课文主要意思,联系自己的生活经验,加深理解。举例要切合课文内容,例如雷锋的例子就切合第二点思考,雷锋只活了22岁,他短暂的生命确实发挥出了无限的价值,他确实活得光彩有力。
作者从三个事例中引发出对生命的三点思考。一是必须对生命负责,好好地使用生命,让人生更有意义。二是生命短暂,生老病死无法捉摸,但是,我们可以让有限的生命发挥出无限的价值,使我们活得更为光彩有力。三是要珍惜生命,珍惜时光,不论命运如何,都要勇敢地活下去。
二 将这篇课文跟下面的同题文章比较,你更喜欢哪一篇?为什么?(《生命生命》一文略)本题进行比较阅读,培养鉴赏能力。沃森的文章与课文所举的第一例,主旨完全相同,课文从三个事例中引发三点思考,沃森的文章则是细致地描写受伤的蜜蜂怎样极力挣扎。有的同学喜欢形象描写与理性思考结合的文章,有的同学喜欢文学色彩比较强的文章,完全可以尊重各人不同的爱好。要求回答“为什么”,要求讲出点理由,可以培养赏析能力。应该答好“为什么”,应该根据见解的深浅程度评定等第。
我的教学设想:
本文的作者是一位生病却顽强与病魔作斗争的作家,作者本身就已经具有相当大的感染力,在教授这篇课文时,我们首先要弄明白的是作者为什么有这样的感叹?这个感想对于我们又有怎样的启发。
在教学过程中,我会侧重讲解作者的背景资料,作者本身就有榜样的力量。然后让学生体会3个事例的不同还有他们写作顺序的原因,让学生探讨作者的三个人生思考的关系。这是讲解课文的部分,通过这篇课文,我想还要锻炼学生的朗读,这是一篇很有感染力,很有力量的文章,需要丰富的感情去朗读;另外本单元的文章都是关于人生的思考,哲理的总结,学生学习后必须能够联系实际,总结自我,所以让学生在自己的生活中找相关的事例,锻炼组织表达能力,我还希望学生通过课后的练笔,既提高自身的写作水平,也能在文字中静下心思考。

这个世界是由无数个生命组成的,我们是生命,花鸟鱼虫也是生命,拥有生命是我们与生俱来的,可是对于生命的失去,我们甚少思考,所以对于很多生命现象,我们漠视了。杏林子,一位12岁就染上类风湿关节炎的女作家,她因为从小就失去了健康,生命受到了威胁,所以她对生命有着不同于我们的看法,我们的生命和她的有不同吗?让我们来学习杏林子的《生命 生命》,看看她眼中的生命,想想我们的生命。

3、介绍作者背景
杏林子为笔名,原名刘侠(1942年2月28日~2003年2月8日)台湾知名作家,静宜大学荣誉博士。十二岁时罹患罕见的「类风湿性关节炎」,发病时手脚肿痛行动不便,自此身心饱受病痛煎熬。1942年生于西安,1949年抵达台湾,患有严重关节炎,1977年发表第一本作品,一生共有60多部作品。
4、分别找学生读1-3自然段,其他同学思考每一段所讲的事例蕴含了什么?在文中划出一个词或者短语概括事例阐述的关键。说明:开头写小飞蛾是什么意思呢?可以有两种理解,一是不要伤害生命,一是生物都有强烈的生之欲望。从全文看,写的不是怎样对待小动物,而是生命本身,所以第一种理解不对,第二种理解才是对的。小飞蛾的生命面临着严重威胁,它极力挣扎。其实这种挣扎几乎是无用的,假如“我”想弄死它,它是逃不了的。虽是无用的挣扎,也要挣扎,可见生物都有强烈的生的欲望,无论怎样危险,都不会放弃求生的努力。也就是说,生命都是自我珍视的。小小的昆虫都如此,人当然更不用说了。(生命的顽强)
瓜苗一例,从生命的诞生这个角度去说生命力之强大。这粒香瓜子所处的环境几乎没有生长的条件,墙角的砖缝,没有阳光,没有泥土,而它的萌芽需要“冲破坚硬的外表”,但它还是萌芽长成了一截小瓜苗。作者不禁为它高唱一曲生命的颂歌。(强大的生命力)
心脏的跳动是生命活动的标志,静听自己心脏的律动,最容易感受自己的生命。有了生命意识,就会严肃地思考人生。作者的思考有三点,是逐步深入的。(生命的意识)
5、学生快速阅读第三自然段“这就是我的生命”到课文最后,思考作者得出的三种人生态度是什么?
第一点思考的是必须对自己负责,好好地使用生命,让人生更有意义。两个“可以„„也可以”,说的是两种人生态度,两种人生价值,前者是负责的态度,后者是不负责的态度。
第二点思考回答的是怎样对待生命的短暂,怎样对待生老病死。有的人为人生如梦而消极悲观,有的人为生命短暂而及时行乐,对生命负责的态度则应该“让有限的生命发挥出无限的价值,使我们活得更为光彩有力”。
第三点思考又进一层,是将目标、信念付诸行动了。“绝不让它从我手中白白流失”,就是说,要珍惜生命,珍惜时间,不懈努力。为生命奋斗,“勇敢地活下去”,就是以顽强的意志去战胜各种困难。作者从小病魔缠身,所谓“勇敢地活下去”,具体地说,就是与病魔作顽强的斗争。

本单元的主要话题是两种事物的比较,通过Ben, Jack和Su Hai之间的闲聊引出本单元的主要语言项目:形容词比较级。教师可创设情景,用实物或动作将比较级的概念清晰明了地传播给学生,同时注重比较级单词的读法与写法规律。
学情分析
