语法填空考情分析和给2014届考生备考的建议
2013年广东省高考的语法填空题考查的语法现象主要包括:连接词(固定搭配)、关系代词、介词、词形变化、冠词和动词的用法。总体来说,难度比去年低,语法以外的其他制约因素也较少,所以考生比较好把握。
从成绩来看,这道题的平均分为7.17,比去年高0.8分。及格率为43.89%。其中得满分的考生有19351,约占2.85%;零分考生47989,约占7%;得分10.5的考生比例最大,有77731,占11.45%,其次是9分、12分和13.5分,分别为75810、71539和53516,约占11.17%、10.54%和7.89%。其它分数点如1.5、3、4.5、6、7.5和13.5分的得分人数比较平均,都在5或6万以上。
从考生答题情况来看,错误率最高的是介词的用法,尤其是其中与price搭配的介词,即使是得分高的考生也出错。今年考题考查了两个介词的搭配,其一是sell … at a lower price。根据英语本族语使用者的语料,另一个可供选择的答案是for。但奇怪的是很多考生包括不少高分考生(13.5)都用in或者with。另一个考查的介词是中学语法里规定的show respect for, 另一个正确答案是show respect to,考生对这个介词搭配的掌握比较好,填to的考生似乎更普遍。
其次,词形变化出错的比例也很高,尤其是possible的副词形式possibly,虽然大多数考生了解形容词加后缀-ly变成副词这个规则,但对于形容词加副词后缀-ly的特殊形式的拼写没有掌握好,所以出现了五花八门的拼写。有些考生因为对不同词形变化的词性概念模
糊,填了名词形式possibility。另外,对于形容词后缀的用法不太明确,所以出现了reasonable的拼写错误,如reasonal或 reasonalble, 还有不少考生忽略了上下文的语境,纯粹为了词形变化而变化,填unreasonable。
这次考查的动词用法相对比较简单,包括动词过去时态found和动词ing形式thinking的用法,大多数考生答得不错,即使得分很低的考生也很少在这里丢分。但也有很多考生对于动词过去式的特殊形式没有掌握好,套用动词加-ed的一般规则,于是频频出现finded这类“过度概括”的错误。
一般来说,将语法知识融入语篇的语法填空题主要考查学生的语篇和句子结构的分析能力、语法的掌握和应用能力以及单词拼写的掌握。因此,考生在复习备考中应注意以下几点:
1.通过提高阅读能力来提高语法能力。有意识地训练理解语篇的能力,养成联系上下文语境和线索来判断连贯语义的习惯;熟练掌握各种语篇衔接手段的应用,包括各类逻辑连接词及其固定搭配,从而理解材料各句之间的内在联系。
2.在掌握重要的基本句型的基础上,培养分析句子结构以及句子各部分之间逻辑关系的能力,因为对各成分之间关系的把握直接影响到考生对语篇意义的理解,从而决定选择何种语法规则和语言表达的应用。
3.摒弃死记语法规则的不良习惯,将所学的语法知识和具体的语言运用结合起来。
4.对介词的考查一般只需要考生从句子层面来考虑,无需太多考虑语境和语篇层面的因素。考生在这方面表现不佳,更多是因为平时积累不够。针对这一薄弱环节,并没有什么捷径,考生需要在平时的学习中逐步积累对介词使用的相关知识和实例,不能脱离句子和语境来背诵介词短语;同时要掌握不同介词使用对意义产生的差异。
5.加强基本功,熟悉单词拼写,尤其是一般规则以外的特殊拼写形式;熟知根据语法要求进行的词形变化及其相应的语法意义。
有一点值得注意的是,从命题的角度来看,命题专家会尽可能保证答案的唯一性。但我们都知道,是先有语言,然后才有语法学家所规定的语法。语法规则和语言现象有时不能完全一一对应,也就难免会出现个别正确答案并非唯一选择。对于千变万化的语言来说,语法并非无所不能。然而语法能够帮助语言学习者更快地掌握语言的一般规律,从而更好地理解并创造性地使用语言。因此,学生首先要掌握教材上规定的语法以及符合语法的语言运用。但语言是交际的工具,随着社会的发展,语言也在不断地发展变化,语法以及各种工具词典都不同程度地滞后于语言的发展,就如同各国的法律也都存在滞后或不完善甚至空白等现象,需要根据具体案例来进行补充修订,语法也需要跟上语言发展的步伐。所以,除了掌握教材所规定的正确用法以外,考生不应拘泥于语法,应接触了解活生生的、被英语本族语者所接受认可的语言现象,提高语言敏感度,至少不要否定语法规定以外的但同样是正确的用法。
